| Mary River CMR2 on Baffin Island in Nunavut Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a very early version of an airfield in Nunavut built to serve an iron ore mine some 100 miles south of Pond Inlet on Baffin Island. In 2004 the airstrip was just being built, with a very basic camp set up for the construction crew who then went on to develop the roads etc in the immediate area. The original plan was for an opencast mine, with ore being transported south on a new (and expensive) railroad link to a new port on the south shore of Baffin Island. This plan was later changed to a (much cheaper) road to Milne Inlet, north of Mary River. And there my story rests, as although production has now started I have no further information about the operating mine. Nolinor currently flies regular supply flights into the camp; the AI here is for the early days. The gravel runway is 4,800 feet long and 150 feet wide, aligned 124T-304T as all runway headings in the north are given as true rather than the unreliable magnetic, which would be 12-30. Runway lighting and PAPI was installed early on and is included here; signage is not and the apron is the early version.

| Cape Hooper CWFH and FOX-4 DEW Line Station in Nunavut, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Cape Hooper is around 60 miles north of Kivitoo (FOX-D) and 140 miles south of Clyde River CYCY on the northeast-facing coast of Baffin Island. FOX-4 is still in use as a new and mostly-unmanned North Warning System site was established there in 1990 before the DEW line station was closed in 1991. Actually the DEW line station was not "closed" as such, they just stopped using it. The site of FOX-4 is on the top of a bump at the end of one of many long promontories that stick out into the Davis Strait between Baffin Island and Greenland, close to the far eastern end that is called Cape Hooper. There is a gravel runway to the west, down at 65' ASL; it is only just over 3,000' long and most material was delivered by sea to the beach at the southern end of the runway. The runway is signed as
"324T - 144T" as this is Northern Domestic Airspace where all runways are signed "true" and not "magnetic"; it is 013/193 magnetic with a huge magnetic variation of 48.9 degrees in this area where the magnetic field is mostly vertical, and so useless for navigation.

(TEXTURES ONLY)
(ONLY TESTED IN FSX: STEAM EDITION)
So I made a slight mistake in my last add-on (The Northwest Orient Cargo 747-200SF one) where I provided the resources required for advanced animations to be enabled in the POSKY 747 from Rikoooo, since in they default they did not include it. In there, I accidentally added the wrong "Contact Points" line that causes the 2 inner main landing gears to be slightly tilted when on the ground. I fixed it here. To apply the fix, just copy and paste the contact lines inside the aircraft.cfg file, that's it.
I originally supposed to be making 1 single livery for this exact aircraft, which is the 2002 Colors wearing the "Thank you for 41 Years" Sticker, but then went into a rabbit hole and found about the small Yokoso! Japan Sticker in the 2000s, the "BIG express" Decal in the 90s, and also the "Nippon Love Goal" Sticker. So I just had to do it.
I also improved the windows by using the windows from the CLS 747 Paint Kit, and re-arranged them.
Instructions and more information are included in the readme file.

| Peawanuck CYPO / Winisk CYWN - Northern Ontario, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Peawanuck is on the bank of the Winisk River, 23 miles upstream from where the river empties into the Hudson Bay just west of James Bay. It has a population of around 240, and was established in 1986 when the original settlement (Winisk) at the mouth of the river was destroyed by a flood. The airport is on a bluff in a corner of the river at 171 feet ASL, with a gravel runway just over 3,500 feet long and aligned 11-29. There is only basic runway lighting, with no ILS, VASI, or PAPI; there is also no apron lighting, or fuel. Service is provided by Air Creebec with connector flights to Moosonee and Timmins, and on to Montreal. A search of their timetable did not provide any information regarding timings but I made the AI flight from Timmins a daily one; it is probably only once or twice a week. There is also a daily private Cessna from Moosonee. Winisk, at the mouth of the river, has another gravel runway which is over 6,000 feet long. There is also a large hangar and to the north the remaining buildings and fuel tanks etc of a Radar Control site which was closed in 1965 after only 7 years of use.

|
File Description:
A Military Airlift variant of the wellknow BAe-146-200 aircraft. Developed in the 1970's as a replacement for the RAF's strategic airlift capability, sadly the 146-STA never made it into production. This model features the distinctive re-fuel probe along the top of its fuselage , AIS components allowing cargo loading and the exclusive PUSHBACK feature. 2 texture sets are included depicting the protype aircraft, and a version in RNZAF livery. 8 variants are included for maximum flexibility for users, along with extensive check list information. The package is complete with the new 146 v3.0 Panel by Matthias Lieberecht. This new version now has complete working electric, hydraulic, fuel and pressurization systems to name a few. All are based on the real world
systems found in the 146 and have been realised with the help of real world BAe 146 and ARJ pilots. A fully working APU and GPU (not just dummies) is also realized together with a real battery lifetime of 20 minutes. A 100 page PDF manual which is necessary to handle all the functions is included. File Description:
McDonnell Douglas DC-8 for AI Traffic (DWAI Models). This is the P3Dv4.5/5.2 conversion of Dee Waldron's entire DC-8 family of models for AI traffic, with permission kindly given by Dee Waldron. These models are intended as a stop-gap measure until a new DC-8 family specifically modeled for the 64-bit sims comes along, and I may have something to do with that this fall. This package has all seven of Dee's original models, and includes DC-8-12, DC-8-52, DC-8-61, DC-8-62 (two different model versions), and DC-8-63. I have also added in a small collection of the paints I have done over the years. Five main aircraft variants with a total of six models and 61 repaints are included here. This is only meant to get the AI DC-8 into the 64-bit sims, and I pretty much did straight conversions without too many upgrades. However, these aircraft, with special instructions included, are compatible with all prior paints available in the usual places. Original aircraft by Dee Waldron et. al, MCX and RADiator utilites by Arno Gerretsen, P3Dv4/5 conversion and all release repaints by Michael Pearson.

| KFHR Friday Harbor Photoreal |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This Scenery consists of the FSX default airport of Friday Harbor, set on photorealistic terrain. Although the scenery has been compiled with night masks, night terrain has been excluded to reduce the file size. It has been designed for Megasceneryearth photorealistic scenery of the San Juan Islands but will also work with the default terrain. Seasonal variations are not included. The main scenery file has been subdivided into several smaller files, which can be switched off according to user preference. Full night textures are included with wash lighting in the terminal and carpark areas. All buildings have been custom modelled using real photographs, and include open hangers with interiors.
Next to the fuel station you will find Ernie's Cafe, much loved by resident and visiting pilots. Close to the airport you will find US style houses modelled on real photographs from the San Juan island. Surfaced airport taxiways and aprons have been kept to a minimum to allow the photoreal textures to show through. The scenery also includes sound effects and high definition people, these can be switched off if they place too much strain on your system. Please enjoy, and I hope you like my scenery as much as I enjoyed making it.

| Flightplan Visualizer 1.11 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Flightplan Visualizer (FV) version 1.11.0. Copyright 2018-2019 by Pelle F. S. Liljendal ([email protected]), all rights reserved.
FV comes with 540 pre-imported Commercial AI flightplans (+380 BizJet flightplans are available as a separate download). However you are able to import additional (AI) flightplans yourself. Once imported these (AI) flightplans can be visualized on a map-view, and the user will be able to search accross all these. Hence you can use the program as inspiration as to which routes to fly. E.g. you can search across all imported flightplans to find all flights in an A321 flying into/out from LDDU, or simply to look for all flights in a Boeing 747-8F.
Simply run the included installer to install the software. The program will be installed into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flightplan Visualizer" and all datafiles will be installed into: "C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\FlightplanVisualizer". The program comes with a full manual explaining everything, and a 3 page quick manual to get you started. The first 3 times you run the program the quick manual will automatically open. The forum is hosted here: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/919-flightplan-visualizer/
Version 1.11 Contains the following changes: The file-format of the Flightplan-files was changed to accommodate some planed changes. The program remains backward compatible, so "old" flightplans can still be loaded. I wanted to implement these changes BEFORE I began importing new flightplans, to ensure these new/updated flightplans are all utilizing the new format. On startup the old flightplans will automatically be converted to the new format. The new installer now comes bundled with 540 commercial flightplans (schedules:22291, legs:699158) whereas the old one "only" contained 300 commercial flighplans (schedules:16786, legs:536198). All BizJet flightplans were removed from the installer and are now available as a separate download. A new settings-form have been added to eliminate the need to manually edit the settings-file using a text-editor. A new menu-item have been added which opens an explore window browsing the content of the UserData folder. Individual (disabled) flightplan-files can now be permanently deleted via the "Enable/disable flightplans" form. Flightplan sub-folders (with exception of "Disabled") can now be marked as "enabled" (using a check-box). Meaning that the flightplans in these will be also loaded on startup (along with the files in the root-folder). Using the "Enable/disable flightplans" form you can now both move and copy flightplans (based on the value of the radio-buttons). A creator-field have been added to flightplans, which can be entered when you import/edit a flightplan. The name of the creator is displayed as a tool tip when hoovering the mouse over the combo-box in the bottom of the main-form. When importing new Flightplans the program will try to grab creator and provider from the files bundled with the flightplan. Likewise a button is added to the import-form which list the content of the text-files (e.g. "ReadMe.txt"), in case you need to manually grab the creators name from this file. Both when importing- and editing flightplans a new column have been added to the airport list-view containing comments regarding airports that have been redirected (from one ICAO to another), or airports classified as pseudo-airports (in case the airport does not exists in the flightsim). The elevation-column from previous versions was removed to make more room for the comment-column. Added a new form to edit airport-redirections (redirect from one ICAO to another on import). In the airport-info form you can now switch between showing flights for the selected flightplan/last search and all flights to/from the airport being displayed. Added a new "Nearby Airports" tab-sheet to the Airport-info form, which shows a distance-sorted list of nearby airports. In the previous versions all new aircraft were automatically added to the selection of favorite aircraft. From version 1.11 you must manually choose which are your favorites (upgrading from a previous version, your current selection of favorites will NOT be changed). First letter of decoded-metar is now changed to uppercase, and a checkbox lets you decide if you want to perserve line-breaks in the decoded text copied to the clipboard. Switched position of "Save" and "Cancel" buttons in airport-info form, to match layout of other forms. Like elsewhere in the program, the airport search-browser now lists the icao-codes with an asterisk (*) for each airport that is a pseudo airport. Greatly improved the responsiveness/performance of the browser-forms, when searching for : Airports, Airlines and Aircraft. Managed to shave off a few 10th of a second loading/processing data at startup. Added support for additional Aircraft. Many of the Airports in the supplied data-files were updated likewise some new Airlines were added as well. Made the importer stronger to import flightplans where aircraft names are not in quotes, and multiweek days are written as "1/3" in stead of "10". Fixed: When manually redirecting an airport during import, the flightplan was not visualized corretly until re-loading the flightplan (e.g. restarting the program). Fixed: Closing the Enable/Disable-flightplan using other means than the close-button would not make the program re-load active flightplans afterwards. Fixed: Several of the combo-boxes on the airport-info form allowed text being entered into them. Fixed: Corrected an issue with map-caching.
