B29 Superfortress Download

File Description:
The Boeing B-29 was designed in 1940 as an eventual replacement for the B-17 and B-24. The first one built made its maiden flight on September 21, 1942. In December 1943 it was decided not to use the B-29 in the European Theater, thereby permitting the airplane to be sent to the Pacific area where its great range made it particularly suited for the long over-water flight required to attack the Japanese homeland from bases in China. During the last two months of 1944, B-29s began operating against Japan from the islands of Saipan, Guam and Tinian. With the advent of the conflict in Korea in June 1950, the B-29 was once again thrust into battle. For the next several years it was effectively used for attacking targets in North Korea. The B-29, named Enola Gay is the airplane from which the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in August, 1945. SPECIFICATIONS Span: 141 ft. 3 in. Length: 99 ft. 0 in. Height: 27 ft. 9 in. Weight: 133,500 lbs. max . Armament: Eight .50-cal. machine guns in remote controlled turrets plus two .50-cal. machine guns and one 20mm cannon in tail; 20,000 lbs. of bombs Engines: Four Wright R-3350s of 2,200 hp. ea.

FeelThere Map screens megapack Download

File Description:
This package looks to be my final release of its' kind. Here are over 250 different screens for use with FeelThere Map; an amalgamation of my prior work into one package. You must have the payware add-on, FeelThere Map installed. These screens will work in FS9 and FSX, but were not tested in other sims. They should work in any sim that works with FeelThere Map (i.e. compatible versions of P3D). Many more complete airline sets are found here, along with a few sensible national groupings, a new bizjet operator grouping, and the addition of luxury brand advertisements for our high-end GA cockpit interiors, or to perhaps complete a set for an airline that might only have 2 or 3 screens of its' own. Lots of retro carriers, and some of the complete sets draw from historic timetable art, and/or bring type specificity. There are other packages from different authors available on the internet that would enable the construction of several more complete airline sets, for the dedicated VA pilot. Speaking of VAs, there's a few VA-specific groupings herein, as well. There's literally something here for every Map-enabled aircraft and flight context in your hangar. Enjoy your flights.

ENRA - Mo I Rana Rossvoll Airport - Nordland, Norway Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Mo i Rana airport, Rossvoll is a North Norwegian airport in the county of Nordland. It is located about ten kilometers northeast of the city Mo i Rana. Operator of the airport is the Norwegian state-owned company Avinor. The Mo i Rana Airport is currently served only by the Norwegian regional airline Wideroe. Scheduled flights go to an from Bodo, Bronnoysund, Mosjoen, Rorvik, Sandnessjoen and Trondheim.

The FSX scenery: The environment of the airport is adapted by new landclasses. The airport has a photo background in two variants, covering all four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The buildings in this scenery come from the fantastic XPlane scenery of Bert alias"almosquito" who kindly gave me the permission to convert them for my FSX scenery. But there are also some objects taken from two very popular freeware libraries. If these libraries are not installed, several objects are not visible!

The following libraries are used:
1. FS-Piloten_Objektlibrary: http://www.fs-piloten.de/thread.php?threadid=1063
2. FSX_FlightPortLib http://www.flightport.de/libraries/flightport-library/
Basically, libraries should be well integrated into the hierarchy of the Scenery.cfg, even below the Add-On-scenery because the Library objects otherwise may not be found by FSX.

Updates for Rockcliffe CYRO in Ottawa Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Flight Ontario posted their scenery for CYRO in 2008. I originally learned to fly at Rockcliffe Flying Club and came up with some additions and modifications in 2009, and now with the passage of time there are more changes. This version replaces the previous updates and is a self-contained version.

A mini tornado in 2009 destroyed the old willow tree and almost put paid to the clubhouse too (though all the buildings are still standing right now) so there is a new (temporary) clubhouse, a new hangar, the willow tree is gone, the car park is enlarged and is now asphalt, the fence line is revised and the entrance gate relocated. The previous modifications included the refueling point near the RFC buildings, revised apron shape, gravel car park, parked cars, extended perimeter fence, deck in front of the RFC clubhouse, more parked planes, the large and old willow tree, and the float dock in the river. Note in the winter picture the Ottawa River is frozen, as it is right now in reality, and you can download my "Frozen Lakes etc" post and turn your own Canadian winter into reality; I have been surprised by how few people are interested in winter flying in FS9.

LFBT Tarbes/Lourdes-Pyrenees, France Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Googly scenery for LFBT Tarbes - a normally quiet airport that just sees a few domestic flights a day but bursts into life for those of the the Catholic faith to participate in the pilgrimage to Lourdes. At these times it is served by a regular stream of charter flights and the airport can handle aircraft as large as the Boeing 747. The only scheduled flights are between here and Paris, normally operated by Canadair CRJ700 craft worked by Brittany Air International on behalf of Air France, but a huge range of charter operators - mostly from Italy, Ireland, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Germany - may be seen here at times and although seasonal this traffic represents 80% of the airport's entire annual activity.

The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on less-than-perfect satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing. You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without.

KCMH - Port Columbus International - Columbus, Ohio, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio, is a gem of an airport for aviation buffs. It first opened in 1929 at a site chosen by Chales Lindbergh, as part of an air-rail route from New York to Los Angeles. The original terminal building has been restored and is now used for office space. Two of the original three hangers are still in use (I included the third hanger in the scenery). The six hanger Lane Aviation FBO was added in 1935 and has been in operation these 78 years. In 1959 the modern terminal was first built, with additions and renovations to follow. Netjets opened their facilities in 2001. With the exception of the runways, this version of KCMH was built entirely from scratch. This is the first large airport I've done in which all buildings on the field (except for the control tower) are custom made and partly or fully photo textured. I've also made more use of ground photo textures. Many hours went into the creation of Port Columbus International Airport for FS9. I hope you enjoy it. My thanks to Wil Morgan of FRAME-RATE-FRIENDLY Studio (WWW.FRFSTUDIO.NET) for the AI aircraft parking assignments and general testing. The vintage TWA textures for the DC3's are by Dale De Luca.

Sembach Air Base 1990 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This scenery is a representation of Sembach Air Base in the former West Germany during 1990. At the time, Sembach was host to the 66th Electronic Combat Wing, which was responsible for the home-based EC-130H "Compass Call" aircraft of the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron, and also had in-direct control of the 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron based at RAF Upper Heyford in the U.K. flying the Grumman EF-111A Raven. The 66th ECW moved into Sembach during 1986, and spent the next six years flying from there. The role of the aircraft was electronic disruption of enemy radio and radar transmissions, to limit the enemies ability to co-ordinate their own forces and also the transmission of propaganda in an attempt to win hearts and minds. Sembach was also known as Det.1 of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, based at the Twin Bases complex of RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters. The A-10A's of the six squadrons there would regularly deploy to Sembach and other Forward Operating Locations (FOLs) within West Germany, which was a part of their war-time role. Included in this package are repaints of all six EC-130H's present at Sembach as of April 1990.

Library Object Manager Download

File Description:
Library Object Manager is a utility designed to manage your collection of FS9 library objects. It does not work with API Macros (API Manager from ScruffyDuck Software can do that). Functions include importing object information from FS9 library bgl files; from SBuilder, RWY12 and EZ-Scenery. Categorizing objects by user defined category, by library name and by author. Exporting object information so that it can be used by SBuilder, RWY12, Object Placer XML, EZ-Scenery, and SceneGenX. Creating library files from your collection of .mdl objects. A quick placement function to allow you to place objects into your scenery for testing, creating thumbnails etc. A more extensive object placement program (Scenery Maker) which is similar in concept to RWY12 and Object Placer XML. This program is currently in Beta and further developments are planned. It may therefore not work entirely as expected although it has been tested by a number of kind and helpful users. LOM Requires Mirosoft dotNET Framework 2.0; bglxml.exe from Alessandro G. Antonini; FSUIPC from Pete Dowson for the scenery creation function to work; and bglcomp from Microsoft (included in this package). PLEASE read the included manuals before using the program. Support is available from my website www.scruffyduck.plus.com.

FS2004/FSX/P3D Project OpenSky V4 Japan Airlines JA8089 Boeing 747-446 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
(TEXTURES ONLY)
(ONLY TESTED IN FSX: STEAM EDITION)
So I made a slight mistake in my last add-on (The Northwest Orient Cargo 747-200SF one) where I provided the resources required for advanced animations to be enabled in the POSKY 747 from Rikoooo, since in they default they did not include it. In there, I accidentally added the wrong "Contact Points" line that causes the 2 inner main landing gears to be slightly tilted when on the ground. I fixed it here. To apply the fix, just copy and paste the contact lines inside the aircraft.cfg file, that's it.
I originally supposed to be making 1 single livery for this exact aircraft, which is the 2002 Colors wearing the "Thank you for 41 Years" Sticker, but then went into a rabbit hole and found about the small Yokoso! Japan Sticker in the 2000s, the "BIG express" Decal in the 90s, and also the "Nippon Love Goal" Sticker. So I just had to do it.
I also improved the windows by using the windows from the CLS 747 Paint Kit, and re-arranged them.
Instructions and more information are included in the readme file.
