Welcome to the Heart of Idaho!
The mountain country has to be seen to be believed. As one who grew up exploring
this part of the US I had the fortunate opportunity to do things that most just dream about. Who wouldn't want to
swim in hot-spring fed lakes, or pools? Idaho has more hot springs than any other state. Have you ever climbed up
to a pass at 10,000 feet? And then looked down at those who chose not to climb 1500 feet below, looked left at your
brother, and then looked over the pass at the mountain basin that begged to be explored. I did these things 58 years
ago. You can do it tomorrow if you want to.
This FSX adventure will take you to many places I have visited. It will also take you to places that I have not yet
visited. Some of the strips are difficult to get into. That is typical of mountain flying. Some are reasonable.
Your flying skills will be tested as you figure out the best approach.
The simulation consists of 19 airports in Central Idaho. Twelve existing strips have had improvements consisting of
strip surface improvements to allow all-season activity, and some eye candy. Seven new air facilities have been
added to the area.

Hello to all you flightsimmers,...After I've been profiting for years downloading stuff made by others [and enjoying it very much] I thought it was about time to create something myself. For about two or three years ago there was an Antonov AN-124 parked at the Dutch airport of Beek near the city of Maastricht. Just before the aircraft was to be sold on an auction there was the opportunity to take some pictures of the in and outside of the plane. An opportunity I gladly took. Here are the results. I hope I did not offend anyone using their gauges because it's quite impossible to ask every individual permission for all the 210 gauges I used, but I would gladly take the opportunity here of thanking them for the use of them..........Please NOTE:I did not create any of the gauges used for this panel myself and therefore do not earn any credit for them or whatsoever...........Half of them for instance are of MICROSOFT [Copyright]....I tried to stay as close to the original design of the AN-124 cockpitt, however in some cases I had to alter some things due to the lack of available ID light gauges. Furthermore it was not always possible to see whàt instrument it was that I saw on the photopicture. Anyway ENJOY!!!!.

Griffith P. Williams, Navigator/ Bombardier: Lt. Howard A. Sessler, Flight Engineer: Sgt. Edward J. Saylor, Gunner: Lt. Thomas R. White. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Texture, and Damage Files included. File Description:
Red Lake is in Ontario, 90 miles east of the Manitoba border & 120 miles north of the US border. The town is at what was the northern end of "the road" for many years, & this has led to it becoming a centre for floatplane flights north to fishing lodges etc. It has also become THE centre of Noorduyn Norseman floatplanes in Canada & there is a Norseman on display & an annual Norseman festival. Red Lake CYRL airport is 3 miles north of the town with 5,000 feet of asphalt runway aligned 08-26 with PAPI at both ends. The apron is in two parts; the western for the fire fighting planes & the eastern for the new terminal & the hangars for North Star, Superior, and Wasaya. There is also a scruffy hangar that is used for storage & to the south of the east apron some private hangars. The town & the float base (CKS4) are at the southern end of Howey Bay. Planes taxi north before going to full power for take off, & there are two main companies based at CKS4, Chimo & Green's, both of them using Norsemans (or Norsemen?) among other planes. Chimo service their fishing lodge & outposts in the Roderick Lake area, & Green's (who have a base on the west side of Howey Bay) service their own outposts on Trout Lake & Nungesser Lake in the AI. There are other Red Lake float operations using Norsemans from further north on the lake & they service fishing lodges in the AI on Peisk Lake and Uchi Lake. The AI also includes some GA float planes, & there are numerous GA & scheduled flights into CYRL.
