| Drift Meter Version 2 |

File Description:
This gauge, for FS2004, updates the drift meter gauge, published on 19 Jan. 2005. It is easier to use, comes with a panel icon, and has improved graphics. It simulates the drift meters used in the 1940's, measuring the drift of an aircraft off its heading due to the wind. In the old days of aviation, navigators had quite a job in windy weather. An advantage of the drift meter is that it has nothing to do with wind direction or aircraft heading. The measured wind drift is used to correct the aircraft heading to maintain course.

This is Ray Smith's file (fsx_cyvr_rs.zip) created for FSX. Ray has given me permission to convert his file for Prepar3Dv2,v3. This airport update has two optional files, one version with the Crosswind runway activated where all 3 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default runway operation: Assigned parking as per their website with extra parking including a gate for the A380, the crosswind runway corrected to 13/31 and the approaches corrected for it, runway 08C/26C decommissioned and is now taxiway A, the Canada Post Pacific Processing centre and Ferguson Rd also included, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, start locations added to two of the helipads, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements included, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

This is a very accurate rendition for YPPH international airport with two optional files made only for Prepar3D: one version with the Crosswind runway activated and in full operation where both runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default airport runway operation: assigned parking updated as per their website including gates for the A380, the new Virgin terminal at the international terminal 1 and Domestic 2 also included, Terminals 3 and 4 completely rebuilt/replaced, new control tower, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, lighted helipad, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements included, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.
