Supermarie Spitfire Mk.IIb No 249 Sqn T-V Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vc EP343, one of the aircraft of 249 Sqn, based on Malta. It arrived on Malta with operation Insect, when it was flown off HMS Eagle on the 1st of August 1942. It was probably overpainted on the Eagle, where the tropical stone color was replaced by what was probably dark sea grey. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description:
V Australia Boeing 777-300ER for POSKY's 777-300 V2. Created for and tested in FS2004, FSX compatibility not guaranteed. These textures are in 32-bit for quality and are primarily handpainted. Nearly every texture is totally customized and created with attention to detail, from the tires, doorways, Business Class Bar, landing gear details, spoiler details, flap details, different dirt patterns on each wing, new engine and pylon textures, custom engine blades and transparency, night lighting including a glow on the nose gear door and cabin lights that dim when the landing lights are turned off as well as the glow of the window lights on the wings and engines which also dim when the landing lights are off, reflections of antennas on the top and bottom of the fuselage, custom ground service vehicles, cargo bays, and much, much more, just explore the aircraft to see the amount of detail put into it. Feel free to ZipDive for more preview shots, but there is so much more detail that the previews don't show.

AI Package - Airlines of Hong Kong and Macau 1998 Download

File Description:
Looking to bring FlyTampa's Kai Tak scenery to life? This package will do that! Included are all 1998 flightplans and repaints required for Cathay Pacific, Cathay Pacific Cargo, Air Macau, Air Hong Kong, and Dragonair on FAIB and FSPX models with P3Dv4 native textures. Passenger flights are based off of the summer 1998 Offical Airline Guide(OAG), while Air Hong Kong and Cathay Cargo are representative based off early 2000s schedules and backdated to represent 1998. Included are up to 3 versions of each airline; standard, lite(with minimal variations), and bonus(including extra textures/aircraft not active in 1998 but from that era). Note that the FS Painter models are payware and this package does not support FS2004/FSX. Homer PaHO in Alaska US Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Homer is a mainly GA airfield with rows of open air parking, but it also has scheduled flights, a terminal building, a long (for GA) runway of just under 6,700 feet that is 150 feet wide and aligned 03-21 with VASI on both ends and ILS on 03. So I think we can refer to it as an airport. Plus, at the time of this scenery (around 2010) there were three newly completed hangars on the north apron that I was told were for three companies, Bald Mountain Air service, Maritime Helicopters, and Pathfinder Aviation. I do not know which was for whom, but all three companies are in the helicopter and/or plane charter business. The south apron has a number of hangars and other buildings along it's length, starting at the western end with Smokey Bay Air that has an old control tower on the roof, then the Fire Station, and then Homer Air. I am not aware of who owns what after those first three, except that at the far eastern end there are several garages etc for the airport maintenance equipment. Next to the airport at that end there are a number of boat maintenance companies with boats pulled out of the water; this could not be well replicated due to the airport elevation above the sea level and a misplaced road. The nearby Beluga Lake 5BL float base is also included here, with some AI. The lake height above sea level has been adjusted to cope with too many cliffs intruding into the water; this is an annoying FS9 habit. The Homer scenery is as close to the actual airport as I could make it, while coping with inaccurate coast lines and roads, and grassed areas that could not all be modified for reasons that I will not bore you with. The Spit is a major scenery feature next to the airport, and I have added to this to provide some boats, docks, and nearby buildings etc. Small planes use the adjacent gravel taxi path instead of the runway when back-tracking to take off on runway 21. They only go as far as the path takes them and then u-turn onto the runway and take off. By the way, this airport's AI will function at its best if the prevailing wind makes 03 the runway in use. And I will eventually stop writing 03 and just call it 3, as the US, alone in the world, does not put a zero in front of 01, 02, 03, 04 etc. Just one other thing to note is that all access to the runway is from taxiways A and B; there was (in 2010) no access to the extreme western end of the runway as the taxiway there is marked as out of service pending a needed resurfacing. If you find an error email me please, and note that my email address has been changed to rogwens at Gmail dot com.

FSX/P3D/FS2004 Trinidad and Tobago Air Services DC-6B 1978 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Douglas DC-6B in Trinidad and Tobago Air Services - TTAS colors. The freeware CalClassic DC-6B by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. Trinidad and Tobago is an island nation of the southeastern West Indies, in the Caribbean. It consists of two main islands — Trinidad and Tobago — and several smaller islands. Caribbean United Airlines Ltd. was the main carrier operating a service from Trinidad, the main island, to Tobago, which is off to the North of Trinidad. However, Caribbean United Airlines - established in 1970, failed as an airline and stopped operations in 1974. The government of Trinidad and Tobago consequently formed TTAS at Port of Spain on June 12, 1974 to take over the Port of Spain to Tobago service suspended upon the failure of Caribbean United Airlines. With a pair of Douglas DC-6Bs, TTAS, became the second national carrier, and undertook air bridge flights to Tobago, as well as routes to Grenada, Martinique, and St. Lucia. The DC-6Bs were replaced between 1977 and 1978 by HS-748s. After a short lifespan of 6 years, TTAS was taken over and merged into the main Trinidad and Tobago national carrier - British West Indies Airways, in 1980. Textures are 32bit bmp. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. It should also work on FS2004.

Luftwaffe, D.F.S.-230 , Assault Glider, v.01 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
At 4:30 A.M. on May 10, 1940, three Junkers Ju 52's took off from the Cologne airfields of Ostheim and Butzweilerhof, towing behind them three other aircraft that lacked motors. The first front service of a new weapon, the freight glider, developed by the DFS (Deutsche Forschungsanstalt fur Segelflug / German Research Institute for Sailplane Flight), had begun. A total of 41 DFS-230 freight gliders with 400 paratroopers were launched for this mission. It was their task to take the Belgian Fort Eben Emael near Maastrich. With this successful operation the crossing of the Albert Canal was secured and the cornerstone of Belgian defense fell in German hands.
These assault gliders were also used during the Krete invasion (1941). The DFS 230's last significant use was during the 'Eichen' operation: 10 assault gliders were used to deliver the group of hand picked commandos led by Otto Skorzeny against the Gran Sasso mountain-top hotel that was used to hold Mussolini. The Royal Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) received from Luftwaffe, during 1941, almost 20 DFS-230 and 4 Gotha Go-242 assault gliders. These aircrafts were used only for pilot training until 09/1943.

Complete aircraft. Original GMAX hi-res model, features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls, canopy, doors and so on (5 different versions); Five different liveries (4 'Luftwaffe' +1 "Regia Aeronautica'); multiview 2D panel (NO VC). Created by Manuele Villa.

B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2344 for The B24 Guy's OH Download

File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2344, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #1. Flownby Pilot: Lt. Col. James Doolittle, Co-pilot: Lt. Richard Cole, Navigator: Lt. Henry Potter, Bombardier: Sgt. Fred Braemer, Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Paul Leonard. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Texture, and Damage Files included. Note the three windows in both port and starboard bulkheads. By revev. Enjoy!

Martinair "Biafra" Douglas DC-6A Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:

On 13 December 1966 the Dutch charter company Martinair Holland (MAC), proud owner of a fleet of four Douglas C-47, a Douglas C-54B, two Convair 640, and four Douglas DC-7C aircraft, bought a Douglas DC-6A registered PH-MAM. The DC-6A, which at one time belonged to KLM and could transport 11 tons payload or 97 passengers, was aquired in order to replace the smaller C-54B PH-MAE. It was a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From the late October 1968 till the beginning of January 1970, PH-MAM flew on the Biafra airlift from the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf of the Dutch Red Cross. Having returned from this mission, the aircraft was overhauled and used by Martinair for one more year, before being sold to Yugoslavia. The inspiration for this repaint was a coincidental meeting at Schiphol I had many years ago with former Martinair Captain Dries van Ommen. He was in command of PH-MAM during the Biafra airlift. We had a nice conversion, accompanied by the impressive sight and sound of a DC-6 during take off. These are textures only. You will need California Classic's FS2004/FSX Douglas DC-6B CB-16 Base Pack, DC-6A CB-17 Base Pack and DC-6A CB-16 Base Pack (available at http://www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

For FS2004 and FSX.
