Consolidated PBY-5 RNZAF 6 Sqn XX-N Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of PBY-5 (Bu08450) NZ4012 XX-N 'The Naughty Nine" of the RNZAF, as it looked while flying with FltLt Guy Rogers and crew from the Solomon Islands in 1945 with 6 Flying Boat Squadron. Following Japan's entry into the war in December 1941, the RNZAF had to switch from primarily training pilots to Europe into a combat force. No. 6 Squadron RNZAF was formed as an army co-operation unit at Milson in February 1942 flying Vickers Vildebeest and Hawker Hind aircraft. At the same time, No. 5 Squadron RNZAF moved to Fiji with Short Singapores and Vickers Vildebeest and Vincent biplanes. Modern maritime patrol flying boats (and more Hudson light bombers) were requested under Lend Lease and when the first Consolidated Catalinas arrived a detachment of men from No. 5 Squadron was assigned to convert to these types as No. 6 Squadron. Before the squadron was officially formed these men successfully completed their first air-sea rescue of a downed US aircrew. From May 1943 No. 6 squadron undertook action against the Japanese. The Squadron also conducted search and rescue missions for allied aircrew and seamen, and undertook many open sea rescues. XX-N arrived in Fiji on 20 june 1943. It was declared surplus to requirements in 1951, and was broken up in Hobsonville in 1952. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft

Ireland VFR Small Airports part 1 Download

File Description:
Ireland VFR Small Airports Part 1. This scenery includes 5 small airports in Ireland. EIDL Donegal is in the far North West, EIAB Abbeyshrule is located in the centre of Ireland. EIKL Kilkenny is located in the South East and Newcastle can be found on the East coast. EITM is a small grass strip to the north West of Dublin. Donegal and Abbeyshrule have paved runways whilst the others consist of small grass strips. The scenery includes animals, vegetation and rural objects. It also includes sound effects, animations, some high definition people, and aircraft painted using real Irish aircraft photos. Many of the airports include open hangers and buildings modelled from real photographs. Although Donegal is the only one with ILS, full night textures are included for all the airports. Many of the files are stand alone and can be switched on or off according to user preference. The scenery can be used as a standalone, however it also uses objects from my other scenery addons. The scenery has been tested with FSXA only and is designed to complement vfr photographic scenery. It will also work with the FSX default terrain, however all objects have been placed using ordinance survey data and may therefore appear misplaced in the default. Full installation instructions are included in the Readme file. I hope you enjoy using the airports as much as I enjoyed making them.

RAF Upper Heyford EGUA 1955-1962 Download

File Description:
EGUA RAF Upper Heyford 1955-1962 The airfield was originally built in 1918 by the Royal Air Force on land owned by New College Oxford, closed briefly after the end of the First World War and then re-opened in the 1920s. During the Second World War it was used by units of RAF Bomber Command but these were training rather than operational forces, even if aircraft of the 16th OTU (Operational Training Unit) may sometimes have taken part in bombing operations against the Third Reich. New runways were laid in 1942. During the Cold War Upper Heyford was chosen as one of the airfields used to operate bomber aircraft belonging to the US Strategic Air Command, and in 1950 the main runway was extended while new hardstandings were constructed for the bombers concerned. However, units were not stationed there permanently, but did Temporary Duty Assignments from their bases in the US. They included the 93rd Bomb Wing, 97th Air Refueling Squadron, 509th Air Refueling Squadron, 301st Bomb Wing, 8th Air Sea Rescue Squadron, 2nd Bomb Wing, 5th Bomb Wing Detachment, and the 22nd Bomb Wing. Aircraft included the B-50 Superfortress, (briefly) the B-36 Peacemaker, the B-47 and from 1960 the B-52. There were further significant developments after 1962 which fall outside the remit of this scenery, Upper Heyford being finally returned to the British Ministry of Defence in 1994 after the end of the Cold War.

AI Lineas Aereas Azteca Htai Bombardier Learjet 31 XA-OLE Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is the aircraft of the extinct mexican airline "Lineas Aereas Azteca", the Bombardier Learjet 31 with the registration: XA-OLE. Líneas Aéreas Azteca was an airline based in Mexico City, Mexico. It operated domestic scheduled services and international services to the USA. Its main base was Mexico City International Airport, with a hub at General Abelardo L. Rodríguez International Airport, Tijuana. The airline was established on 9 May 2000 and started operations on 1 June 2000, operating domestic services with Boeing 737 aircraft. It started up after TAESA closed down and some of the staff and assets were taken over. The airline's operations were suspended by the government in March 2007 due to safety problems, and in October 2007 the Mexican government permanently revoked its air operator's certificate because the company hadn't solved those problems. On 10 October 2007, the General Civil Aeronautics Directorship (DGAC) of Mexico's Communications and Transport Secretariat permanently revoked Líneas Aéreas Azteca's air operator's certificate, because the airline did not have a sound financial statement after the previous suspension. The fleet consisted in 6 Boeing 737-300 (XA-AAU, XA-AAV, XA-CAS, XA-TWG, XA-UCL, XA-UCP), 3 Boeing 737-700 (XA-AEP, XA-AEQ, XA-TWF), and 1 Bombardier Learjet 31 (XA-OLE). The models of this traffic are HENRY TOMKIEWICZ AI (HTAI) Bombardier Learjet 31. This is my website: https://el-mundo-de-los-aviones-ai-traffic.jimdosite.com I hope you enjoy it!

Doherty' Difficult & Dangerous Approaches - Volume 54 Download

File Description:
FS 2004 Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches - Volume 54. I am constantly amazed by the high number of simers that restrict their flying activities to small localized areas, never venturing much further than their own backyards. I can't help thinking that they miss out on some truly great flying experiences by confining themselves to such limited parameters. If nothing else, Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches will get you out more! Whether you are simply a local pilot flying within your own well-worn neighbourhood, or a demanding adventurous international aviator, there's something for everyone in these volumes. For the new simer I have included some very easy approaches, and for the army of case-hardened veterans who think they have seen and done it all - let me tell you now - you haven't! I'll introduce you to approaches that will leave you absolutely flabbergasted - and may I add, begging for more! Each volume contains (10) difficult and dangerous approaches which are set up for you – all you have to do is fly them! I have also included a special ~ (STAR) ~ approach in each volume - which is a gem of an approach that will thrill and amaze you. If you've always wanted to know where all the difficult and dangerous approaches could be found in MSFS 2004, but never new where to look, I've discovered them all - and now I'm sharing them with you. Check out Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches - by Michael Doherty - you won't be disappointed.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), NJ (Beta) Download

File Description:
Located 03 miles S of Newark, New Jersey on 2027 acres of land, Newark Liberty International Airport is a major regional hub. Currently, this airport is fully modeled to match MegaScenery Earth ground textures. It is functional to the point where I feel comfortable releasing it, however it is a far cry from "complete". As a primarily General Aviation pilot, I do not have much use for this airport, however I do fly over it from time to time and prefer to see it blend in with MSE textures properly. If you are a frequent user of KEWR and its facilities, please consult the Known Issues section of the ReadMe to decide whether you wish to install this version. It might be worth adding it as a layer you can turn on when you're not using the airport but will be flying in the area and want it to blend in properly. I do plan to further develop this airport if I end up using it more often in the future. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview and personal reference. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New York 005. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LG-P) "Sweet Dish" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G 44-6596 LG-P "Sweet Dish" of the 322nd BS/ 91st BG based in Bassingbourne UK. She arrived in Bassingbourne on the 4th of November 1944 and flew her first mission 5 days later, after which she was assigned to Lt Bob Roach and his crew. He suggested naming her Sweet Dish, after his wife, who was known to the crew. Tony Starcer painted her portrait, based on a pocket photograph. By war's end, she would have completed 46 missions by the war's end, including 24 flown by BoB Roach. Her hairiest mission was to Berlin on 5 december. Flak knocked out no.1 engine and set fire to no.2. During the dive to eliminate the fire, the engineer bailed out, and the navigator and bomb aimer followed him. The fire was extinguished however, and 'Sweet Dish' flew home on two engines. They counted 365 holes in the ship next day, and it took until the end of december to get her in the air again. At the end of the war, she took a group of ground crew on a flight over the damaged cities of Germany, so that they too could see the effect of their work, and in may she helped repatriate released PoW's. In june 1945, she flew back to the States, where she was scrapped at Kingman, Arizona in december 1945. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

MAC Douglas DC-7C Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Thanks to a major investment in 1964 by some large Dutch shipping companies, the 1958 founded Dutch charter company Martin's Air Charter, proud owner of a fleet of two de Havilland DH-104 Dove, four Douglas C-47, and one Douglas C-54B, was able to purchase from KLM one Convair 340 and one Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas aircraft. On 27 February 1964 the DC-7C PH-DSO was delivered at Schiphol. In November 1964 and May 1965 PH-DSL and PH-DSC were also bought from KLM. A fourth one, PH-MAK which has not been included in this package, was acquired from Alitalia. The great advantages of the DC-7C over the much smaller C-54B were its pressurised fuselage, its huge flying range and its payload, which was almost twice the C-54's payload. It was a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From September 1968 till late October 1968, PH-DSL, all white with red crosses applied to the wings, fuselage and fin, flew on the Biafra airlift from the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf of the Dutch Red Cross. With the exception of PH-MAK which was sold to Spain in 1967, MAC's DC-7C's soldiered on till late 1968/early 1969 when they were sold. These are textures only. You will need California Classic's FS2004/FSX Douglas DC-7C Base Pack and DC-7 Base Pack (available at http://www.calclassic.com/dc7c.htm). Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

PAIW Wales, Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Googly scenery for Wales - a small domestic airport on the western coast of Alaska that is poorly provided for in Flight Simulator 2004. These scenery files add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.

Wales is a small village with a population of just over 150 people, so the facilities at this 4000 foot gravel airstrip are fairly limited. The airport is allocated the ICAO code PAIW, although Microsoft has ignored this in Flight Simulator and uses the IATA ticket code IWK. Wales is served by light aircraft from airlines such as Bering Air, Cape Smythe Air, Frontier Flying Service, and Hageland Aviation Services. You might find it a convenient stopping-off point for a quick trip across to Russia - this is about as close as you can get and a nip across the Bering Strait will find you there in no time.

The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing. You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without.
