Vietnam Airlines 1998

File Description:
Vietnam Airlines was the flagship carrier of Southeast Asia in 1998, offering the only longhaul flights in the Vietnam region. The 767-300 was the flagship at the time, serving some major Asian cities as well as Europe and Dubai. A320s did most of the intra-Asia flying while the ATR-72s and Fokker 70s stayed within the Vietnam\Cambodia area. The flightplans called for 1 extra 767 and Fokker 70, and 2 extra ATR-72s which I have segregated in case you wish to delete them. Michael Pearson has done all the paints. I have included a "version 2" or "v2" paint where he has been kind enough to give us 2+ variations for a livery. If you wish, just assign 1 texture to both to save space. Royal Air Cambodge 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Royal Air Cambodge was about halfway through it's life in 1998, having started in 1994 and closed in 2001. The airline was flying a pair of 737-400s to several of the major Asian port cities within 2-3 hours flying time, while the 3 ATR-72s did domestic flying and served the nearby Asian nations. Though I can not find record of more than 3 ATRs, but the flight schedule calls for 5 aircraft. There are quite a few flights that were unable to be covered by the 3 ATRs, so I wonder if some were leased at the time, but I am unable to confirm this. The planes are segregated, but again they do represent a decent portion of the flights. Links to the OSP ATR-72 and FAIB 737-400 repaints are included. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. AI Flightplans for 910 Tanker air carrier DC-10-10 - v2

File Description:
Here is a simple flight plan to be used with AI Malcontent's brand new DC-10-10 fire fighter based at Victorville (KVCV). I used RPP FP Gen v1.0 and the flight plan covers different airports in California (most of the destinations are generic, as this aircraft is shown in just a few airports on the photos available on Airliners.net). I'm not able to read flight plans, but there are lots of legs and I think the stopovers during the week are very short. So keep in mind that this is just something to see the aircraft in the sim and not aiming at extreme realism, to be used until someone makes something more decent. A user kindly wrote me and suggested to remove flights to KACV, whose runway is too short. Instead of modifying the flight plan I preferred to redo it completely. Check the readme file for more info. This file replaces the old version (10_tanker_air_carrier_dc-10_ai_flightplans.zip), which is not available anymore. If you down loaded it, please recompile the .txt files included in this zip.

Aloha Air 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
By 1998, Aloha Air was down to operating 737-200s, having ditched the 737-300s and 737-400s that they flew earlier in the 1990s. The 737-200 would remain the mainstay of the inter-island fleet until the shutdown in 2007. Impressively, every one of the airlines' high frequency routes was daily. The arrival of the 737-700s and flying to the mainland USA would come a little later. The airline would eventually fail in 2008, after a hike in fuel prices and competition from Mesa Air Group's iflyGo! forced the airline into hardship. In it's history, Aloha opearted 63 different 737-200s. Some of them lived on as the company re-organized into the much smalled "Aloha Air Cargo" which is around today. Yangon Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Yangon Airways flew a pair of ATRs in competition with Air Mandalay and Myanmar National Airways on domestic routes in Myanmar. I do not show Yangon operating more than 2 ATRs until 2003, but the plans call for 4, with many routes left out! This leads me to think that some other equipment might have filled in for some flights, or that the airline submitted the schedule but then reduced frequencies, but the extra planes are included and segregated. Note that the airline later changed it's IATA code, ICAO code, and callsign when Avianca became "HK", so use the ones above for the 90s. In 23 years, the aircraft has not had a livery change, the paints are on Avsim for both ATRs that operated at the time, though my plans only use one texture. Flight to Area 61

File Description:
Captain Igor Kringbrinsky of the "Special Air Service" will be piloting flight XX-C4 to " Special Area-61" better known to pilots as " No-whereland". As usual he is being moved to the base at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport (UASK) three days before the flight. Using an old ANT-2 he will carry electronic supplies(????) and will also pickup on the way to the different locations (To be known only before the flight) special personnel that work in these places and who are coming out for vacations. As co-pilot you will have to check the plane before the flight and since on this flight you are to be rated, previous to becoming pilot-in-command for future flights, you will do all take offs and landings.---Carefully study the maps given to you for the " secret" locations you will land before you reach Area 61. These "locations" may be on "Roadways", mountains, valleys and even large airports----- Sorry to say, the Weather this time of the year is "stormy and rain, thunder and high winds may be expected....This is a hard Mission.

Gulf Air Airbus A330-243 (Formula 1 c/s)

File Description:
A9C-KB (cn 281), version 1. Hand drawn recreation of the CLS A330-243 in Gulf Air's F1 livery, promoting the Formula 1 race that's going to be held at the new circuit in the beginning of April. It took Mr. Bader Murad and Gulf Air 5 years to get the livery from the drawing board onto the plane. Not like most of my other repaints, this particular repaint is rather clean, since no matter what I did, I couldn't rough her up alot without rendering the many layers to come up with the desertgrey/goldish/champagne colour useless. I did add some custom features like depress. panels and fuselage rivets to give it a realistic look and weathered the fuselage just a little. If you check above the windows and between the L2 and L3 doors, you can even see Mr. Bader's signature, just like on the real plane. These are textures only and intended for use on the Commercial Level Simulations Airbus A330 package. Installation is easy via the CLS livery manager or if you please ; even manually. Fly safe, land safe and enjoy the paint!

Mandarin Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Mandarin Airlines was a fully-owned affiliate of China Airlines based in RCTP. Today, Mandarin does mostly regional flying, but 1998 represented the final years of widebody operations for the carrier. The 747SPs were retired soon after, and the MD-11s and 747-400 gradually returned to China Airlines. Mandarin operated most of the US, Australian, European, and Middle Eastern flights for China Airlines at the time. Mandarin aircraft frequently swapped back and forth onto China Airlines routes and vice versa. As Mandarin had a small fleet, I elected to have Mandarin planes on Mandarin routes, but my China Airlines plans will also utilize Mandarin colors MD-11s on China Airlines routes, so the repaints in this file are required for China Airlines 1998. Swap out the aircraft as you see fit. Repaints by the talented Ranmori Scythe included for the FAIB 747-400, 747SP, and FSPX MD-11 included with flightplans by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson.
