| Douglas A-20C Boston Dutch Naval Air Service |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas A-20C by Milton Shupe and his team. It shows Douglas DB7 Boston D52 of the Royal Dutch East Indies Navy, Andir, 6 March 1942. In december 1941, the Dutch government ordered 32 Douglas Boostons for the defence of the Dutch Indies after the outbreak of war in the Pacific. These aircraft were destined for the MLD, or Dutch Naval Air Service. The aircraft were painted in RAF camouflage colors and received Dutch orange triangles on the fuselage and the underside of the wings, together with a serial consisting of a D with a number and the text KON.MARINE on the nose. The aircraft were crated and shipped to the Dutch East Indies, with the first six arriving in Java on the 27th of February 1942, just a day before the Japanese landings in Java. The crates were unloaded in Tjilatjap. It was decided to try and assemble a few aircraft on the spot, in the harbor of Tjilatjap, while three crates were sent to Andir by train. Despite Japanese bombing raids on the harbor, the MLD technicians managed to assemble two Bostons in the harbor, and on the morning of the 5th of March, Lt Burgerhout, a Catalina pilot, took of from an improvised runway withh D52 and flew to Tasikmalaja, where it was planned to fill the aircraft with fuel for the flight to Andir air base. However, no suitable fuel was found. Before the second Boston could be flown out, the 'runway' was destroyed by a second Japanese bomb raid, so the ground crew destroyed the aircraft. The aircraft at Tasikmalaja was destroyed on the 8th of Mmarch, just before the capitulation of the Dutch East Indies. Of the aircraft transported by train, one was assembled, and this fell intact into the hands of the Japanese, who later used it for flight evaluations. The other two aircraft were destroyed by their ground crews. The other 26 Bostons still underway were diverted to Australia, and these later flew with no 22 squadron of the RAAF. | Martinair Holland Douglas DC-6A |

On 13 December 1966 the Dutch charter company Martinair Holland (MAC), proud owner of a fleet of four Douglas C-47, a Douglas C-54B, two Convair 640, and four Douglas DC-7C aircraft, bought a Douglas DC-6A registered PH-MAM. The DC-6A, which at one time belonged to KLM and could transport 11 tons payload or 97 passengers, was aquired in order to replace the smaller C-54B PH-MAE. It was a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From the late October 1968 till the beginning of January 1970, PH-MAM flew on the Biafra airlift from the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf of the Dutch Red Cross. Having returned from this mission, the aircraft was overhauled and used by Martinair for one more year, before being sold to Yugoslavia. These are textures only. You will need California Classic's FS2004/FSX Douglas DC-6B CB-16 Base Pack, DC-6A CB-17 Base Pack and DC-6A CB-16 Base Pack (available at http://www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm). | Ryan ST-A ZK-ABC |

This folder contains a repaint for the Ryan ST-A by A1R Design Bureau. It shows Ryan ST-M ZK-ABC. After a 33 year restororation, Ryan STM-S2 ZK-ABC, serial number 492, nicknamed 'Charlie', took to the air over Hamilton back on 16 September 2013 with restorer and owner Noel Kruse at the controls.
Charlie served with the Netherlands East Indies Naval Air Service in Java in 1941, as S-56, and was evacuated to Australia when Japanese forces occupied the island. From 1942 to 1945 Charlie served with the Royal Australian Air Force as A50-29. Demobilised in 1946 Charlie flew with a number of Aero Clubs and private owners as VH-AHC, until he was 'retired' in 1977. In 1980 Charlie was found in a hay shed in Jerilderie NSW by Noel Kruse who started the long process of returning Charlie to flight. In 2006 Charlie and Noel moved to live in New Zealand and on 16 September 2013, 36 years since he last flew and 33 years since Noel found him, Charlie took to the air again as a genuine 'Warbird' with the New Zealand registration ZK-ABC. | KLM Douglas DC-3 PK-ALW |

File Description:
After the occupation of the
Netherlands in May 1940 several KLM DC-3's got stuck in the
Dutch East Indies. One of them was PH-ALW 'Wielewaal'
('Oriole'). Although the DC-3 was operated as PK-ALW by
KNILM from 1 June 1940 on, she was still owned by KLM and
as such flew the shortened "Indies-route" Batavia to Lydda
(Palestine, by then under British mandate). On 7 March 1942
PK-ALW was the last civil aircraft to leave the Dutch East
Indies when the Japan invaded the island archipel. From
then on the aircraft continued its career in Australia,
first as a military aircraft and after the war as an
airliner, registered VH-INR. The DC-3 still exists (2007) as a static
museumpiece of the Queensland Air Museum in Caloundra,
Queensland. The repaint of PK-ALW is based on the templates
Mark Beaumont created for the MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3
(passenger version), which were based on Jan Visser's
original textures. This repaint has not been tested for FSX
but will probably function there as well. Repaint by
Maarten Brouwer.

File Description:
This add-on scenery pack for FS 2002 adds 115 airfields to Victoria plus a few to NSW and South Australia, totaling to over 120 in all. The 37 airfields listed below include full detail including accurately placed and sized trees and buildings, static aircraft, fences, cars, roads with cars and streetlights and a variety of other 'eye candy'. The remaining airfields are mostly small minor/private strips and all include runway markers and a windsock but you'll find a few buildings and other scenery at some of them. Rotorheads will also enjoy flying to the 10 included helipads scattered across the area around Melbourne.
This scenery is a 'must have' for anyone who enjoys flying 'Downunder'! THIS NEW VERSION ADDS SEVERAL FIXES, IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS OVER THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

File Description:
Hana Airport is a regional airport of the State of Hawaii on the east shore of the island of Maui, 3 NM northwest of the unincorporated town of Hana. The airport covers 119 acres and has one runway. It is primarily a commuter facility used by unscheduled air taxis and general aviation. This scenery is intended as a single/multiplayer helicopter obstacle course where heli pilots can meet to compete, show off, and share their helo skills. Since birdseye (Timm Turner) already did a neat scenery called Hana_Scenery_PHHN (search for "hana" in the HoverControl Downloads), we decided to convert PHHN to a full helicopter training area. Makes a great place for helo pilots to gather to practice and perfect their skills, and challenge other pilots! And keep an eye-out for that Hot Air Balloon, cruising around an altitude of 3000 feet (don't forget to wave at them!).
Another unique thing about this scenery is the neighboring islands (Honolulu Intl/Hickam AFB, Bellows AFB, Lanai City, Kahului, Molokai, etc). If you get frustrated during your heli obstacle course training, just take a heading of 275°, and relax at one of the neighboring islands.

File Description:
Tulita (Fort Norman until 1996) is another in the series of airfields that follow (approximately) the Mackenzie River. At the far northern end of the river and on the eastern side of the delta there is Tuktoyaktuk, then Inuvik, Fort McPherson, Fort Good Hope, Deline, Wrigley, Fort Simpson Island and Fort Simpson, and then Fort Liard at the southern end of the list of those in the Northwest Territories. South of Fort Liard there are Peace River and Dawson Creek, both of which are already posted. Tulita is at the junction of the Mackenzie and Great Bear Rivers, on the east bank of the Mackenzie and the south bank of the Great Bear, around 40 miles southeast of Norman Wells. The town has a population of about 480 folks. The airport is above and to the east of the town, and has 3,000 feet of gravel runway. The scheduled flights are by North Wright and I have also added a Buffalo DC3 and GA. There is a mandatory radio frequency but in this case I have set the "tower" to "unmanned" so you will report position and intentions. There is no fuel available.
