PLAN Fleet Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Here is a mighty PLAN fleet, capable of respectable force projection anywhere within the nine dash line and even beyond! I tried to find the Chinese Navy crest, similar to the one I used to represent my US Navy collection, but the only thing available anywhere is a depiction of the Peoples Liberation Army Navy flag. These ships are currently assigned to the South Sea Fleet and so might be present at any of the events in the disputed South China Sea. The LST YutingII/Type 072a Luhua Shan, pennant number 997, is the same type vessel that participated in the "near collision" with USS Cowpens recently. Now you can re-enact how a 18 knot transport was able to in any way interfere with the 32 knot Arleigh Burke class destroyer. Also in this fleet are two Houbei class missile boat catamarans, the Yuzhao class type 071 amphibious transport dock Changbai Shan, Luyang II/Lanzhou class type 052C destroyer DDG-171 Haikou and the Jiangkai II class type 054A frigate Hengshui. All ships have landable decks, animated effects and night lights, Haikou has an animated Z-9 helicopter escort. The ships are intended for placement with AICarriers, by Lamont Clark.

Beechcraft Baron 58 FULL Engine Gauges for Saitek FIP's Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
10 Left/Right analog Engine Gauges plus Fuel Level for the Beechcraft Baron 58 across 3 Saitek FIP's. I recommend these if you have 9 or more Saitek FIP's. However you can always scroll through the 3 gauges if you have less. These compliment Philippe Verhaege's fantastic Beechcraft Baron 58 main gauges "essential_gauges.zip" nicely. I grouped the Left/Right Manifold Pressure and RPM onto the first Saitek FIP. The Fuel Flow and Cylinder Head/Exhaust Gas Temperature onto the second. The Oil Temp/Pressure onto the third. Since there was room and they are directly below the engine gauges, I also incorporated the Fuel Level gauges. The beautiful Freeware gauge artwork is by Laurent Ferrari (FlyFrog) of the www.thegaugesfactory.org (Website now dead). They even have the "Beechcraft" logo. Laurent's gauges were originally designed for high end custom cockpit gauges that I resized and configured to fit the Saitek FIP's. I customized XML's to position and calibrate to Flight Simulator X. Thanks to Horacio for providing the original artwork via a zip file. Installation requires simple copy and paste. These were only tested on a Windows 7 computer with a X99 i7-5960X processor. You may have to adjust the needle reaction speeds for your machine.

B29 Superfortress Download

File Description:
The Boeing B-29 was designed in 1940 as an eventual replacement for the B-17 and B-24. The first one built made its maiden flight on September 21, 1942. In December 1943 it was decided not to use the B-29 in the European Theater, thereby permitting the airplane to be sent to the Pacific area where its great range made it particularly suited for the long over-water flight required to attack the Japanese homeland from bases in China. During the last two months of 1944, B-29s began operating against Japan from the islands of Saipan, Guam and Tinian. With the advent of the conflict in Korea in June 1950, the B-29 was once again thrust into battle. For the next several years it was effectively used for attacking targets in North Korea. The B-29, named Enola Gay is the airplane from which the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in August, 1945. SPECIFICATIONS Span: 141 ft. 3 in. Length: 99 ft. 0 in. Height: 27 ft. 9 in. Weight: 133,500 lbs. max . Armament: Eight .50-cal. machine guns in remote controlled turrets plus two .50-cal. machine guns and one 20mm cannon in tail; 20,000 lbs. of bombs Engines: Four Wright R-3350s of 2,200 hp. ea.

Nomads Travel Club 1998 Download

File Description:
Nomads Travel Club may be one of the most storied travel clubs in aviation history. Founded in 1961 and based in Detroit(DTW), where the airline had it's own terminal, Nomads Travel Club gave up to 10,000 adventurous members the opportunity to hop on aircraft for elaborate tours across the earth. Initially flying a DC-7C, the airline upgraded to a L-188 Electra, CV-990, 727-100, and finally 727-200 N727M in 1993 which served the club until it's demise in 2011. N727M has traveled to dozens of countries and hundreds of airports, and I was able to find good information about 2 tours flown in 1998 and represented them in these plans. The aircraft spends at least half a day at each destination except for YHZ which is just a Westbound refueling stop. As far as I could find, the airline had no callsign or codes, so I am guessing they used the registration as a callsign. There is a paint for the AIA 727-200 on Avsim as "aib722nomads.zip".Flightplans by Chasen Richardson, based on real tours flown in 1998. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Fouga CM-170 Magister Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Fouga CM-170 Magister. The little Fouga Magister was one of the main primary jet trainer aircraft in Europe in the late 1950s through the 1980s. Over 1,000 were produced, mostly for European countries, but the aircraft were also heavily exported to Africa, Asia, and Central/South America. The Magister saw extensive combat service as a close support aircraft, and is credited with at least one aerial victory (over a DC-3). An 8-LOD model brings this small-but-mighty workhorse to the AI traffic world. This package is the CM-170 in both armed and unarmed variants; with eight models and 60 repaints covering 19 of the 24 known users. Some missing countries simply do not have either serial information or photographs; or in the case of Biafra, the aircraft were destroyed on the ground in combat before they were put in service. The Magister was used for several aerial demonstration teams, but this package concentrates on the operational use of the aircraft; and to that end I include a layered Photoshop template for the truly mad and talented out there (you know who you are). Aircraft, flight dynamics, and all painting by Michael Pearson. Please read the documentation contained in the file.

Airline Inventory Download

File Description:
Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. See the readme file for a list of possible sources and contact information. Frank Bass

North American T-6 Texan (F-BJBF) Air France Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of North American T-6G F-BJBF of Air France, 1962. Originally built as 41-33931 (c/n 88-14948), it went to the RAF as EX959. It was used by the 20 Service Flying Training School in Rhodesia from January 1943 onwards. After the war, it was transported back to the UK, where it was sold to the Belgian Air Force, where it became H-9. It flew from Brustem until 1959. The Belgian Air Force then sold it to Air France, with 14 other Harvards, for use at its flight school in Pontoise Cormeilles en Vexin, west of Paris. It flew with Air France until 1965, when it was sold to Mr Urbain of Cannes, who flew it in Air Esterel colors until 1971. It then went to the UK, becoming G-AZJD. It remained based at Biggin Hill until 1984, when it went back to France as F-AZDU, being bought by Guy Robert, a former Mirage pilot who recieved his training in the '50's on a Harvard in Marocco. In 2001 it was sold to John Colors SL in Barcelona, but it retained its French registration of F-AZDU. It is still airworthy, based at Sabadell in Spain. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.
