Flightplan Visualizer (FV) version 1.11.0. Copyright 2018-2019 by Pelle F. S. Liljendal ([email protected]), all rights reserved.
FV comes with 540 pre-imported Commercial AI flightplans (+380 BizJet flightplans are available as a separate download). However you are able to import additional (AI) flightplans yourself. Once imported these (AI) flightplans can be visualized on a map-view, and the user will be able to search accross all these. Hence you can use the program as inspiration as to which routes to fly. E.g. you can search across all imported flightplans to find all flights in an A321 flying into/out from LDDU, or simply to look for all flights in a Boeing 747-8F.
Simply run the included installer to install the software. The program will be installed into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flightplan Visualizer" and all datafiles will be installed into: "C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\FlightplanVisualizer". The program comes with a full manual explaining everything, and a 3 page quick manual to get you started. The first 3 times you run the program the quick manual will automatically open. Version 1.11 Contains the following changes: The file-format of the Flightplan-files was changed to accommodate some planed changes. The program remains backward compatible, so "old" flightplans can still be loaded. I wanted to implement these changes BEFORE I began importing new flightplans, to ensure these new/updated flightplans are all utilizing the new format. On startup the old flightplans will automatically be converted to the new format. The new installer now comes bundled with 540 commercial flightplans (schedules:22291, legs:699158) whereas the old one "only" contained 300 commercial flighplans (schedules:16786, legs:536198). All BizJet flightplans were removed from the installer and are now available as a separate download. A new settings-form have been added to eliminate the need to manually edit the settings-file using a text-editor. A new menu-item have been added which opens an explore window browsing the content of the UserData folder. Individual (disabled) flightplan-files can now be permanently deleted via the "Enable/disable flightplans" form. Flightplan sub-folders (with exception of "Disabled") can now be marked as "enabled" (using a check-box). Meaning that the flightplans in these will be also loaded on startup (along with the files in the root-folder). Using the "Enable/disable flightplans" form you can now both move and copy flightplans (based on the value of the radio-buttons). A creator-field have been added to flightplans, which can be entered when you import/edit a flightplan. The name of the creator is displayed as a tool tip when hoovering the mouse over the combo-box in the bottom of the main-form. When importing new Flightplans the program will try to grab creator and provider from the files bundled with the flightplan. Likewise a button is added to the import-form which list the content of the text-files (e.g. "ReadMe.txt"), in case you need to manually grab the creators name from this file. Both when importing- and editing flightplans a new column have been added to the airport list-view containing comments regarding airports that have been redirected (from one ICAO to another), or airports classified as pseudo-airports (in case the airport does not exists in the flightsim). The elevation-column from previous versions was removed to make more room for the comment-column. Added a new form to edit airport-redirections (redirect from one ICAO to another on import). In the airport-info form you can now switch between showing flights for the selected flightplan/last search and all flights to/from the airport being displayed. Added a new "Nearby Airports" tab-sheet to the Airport-info form, which shows a distance-sorted list of nearby airports. In the previous versions all new aircraft were automatically added to the selection of favorite aircraft. From version 1.11 you must manually choose which are your favorites (upgrading from a previous version, your current selection of favorites will NOT be changed). First letter of decoded-metar is now changed to uppercase, and a checkbox lets you decide if you want to perserve line-breaks in the decoded text copied to the clipboard. Switched position of "Save" and "Cancel" buttons in airport-info form, to match layout of other forms. Like elsewhere in the program, the airport search-browser now lists the icao-codes with an asterisk (*) for each airport that is a pseudo airport. Greatly improved the responsiveness/performance of the browser-forms, when searching for : Airports, Airlines and Aircraft. Managed to shave off a few 10th of a second loading/processing data at startup. Added support for additional Aircraft. Many of the Airports in the supplied data-files were updated likewise some new Airlines were added as well. Made the importer stronger to import flightplans where aircraft names are not in quotes, and multiweek days are written as "1/3" in stead of "10". Fixed: When manually redirecting an airport during import, the flightplan was not visualized corretly until re-loading the flightplan (e.g. restarting the program). Fixed: Closing the Enable/Disable-flightplan using other means than the close-button would not make the program re-load active flightplans afterwards. Fixed: Several of the combo-boxes on the airport-info form allowed text being entered into them. Fixed: Corrected an issue with map-caching.

If you are installing this version on top of a version prior to 1.7 the program will start slower than ususal and display a lot of warnings. This is because it fileformat of the pre-imported flightplans was changed between version 1.6 and 1.7, so starting version 1.8 it will update all flightplans (and in the progress it will display all those warnings). The next time you start FV you will no longer see this warnings as all flightplans will have become updated.

| FS2004/FSX/P3D Fred Olsen C-46 1970 |

This is a repaint of the C-46 in Fred Olsen Lines 1970 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. The famous Norwegian shipping magnate; Fred Olsen, formed his new airline "Fred Olsen’s Flyselskap" in June 1946. It was a nonscheduled carrier, which offered aircraft leasing, passenger and cargo charters, calibration flights, and contract service flights. They started with DC-3s and in 1958 five C-46s joined the fleet. Also, many of the company’s services were undertaken under contract to SAS, the national carrier of the Scandinavian countries. Fred Olsen Lines was focused mainly on cargo flights, and in 1965 their fleet had three C-46s and one DC-6A/B. Two more DC-6s were added to the fleet during 1966-67, followed by a Convair CV-340 in 1968. In 1969 Fred Olsen Lines' emphasis was to offer executive passenger charter services with their new Falcon executive jets. However, this special service did not work for the company, and in 1972 Olsen sold the two Falcons to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. So, the focus was back to Cargo, and in 1974 The first of many L-188Cs joined the fleet. The 1970s and 1980s were quite good for the ailrine and by 1986 the emphasis was shifted entirely to cargo charters. In 1997 Fred Olsen's airline ceased operations.The reasons offered were the loss of maintenance contracts, and difficulties in making a profit in the Central European freight market. This repaint is of C-46 LN-FOR, one of three C-46s operated by Fred Olsen. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.

| ScotFlight AFCADs and Flightplans V1.0 |

AFCADs, flightplans and aircraft for the newly released ScotFlight commercial scenery by VisualFlight
The newly released ScotFlight scenery by Visual Flight (www.visualflight.co.uk) is a beautiful rendition of the Scottish landscape and landmarks. It contains many new airports which were not included in the default FS2002 and I have had the pleasure of beta testing it for the last 4 months or so.
My freeware add-on package is in 4 parts:
1) AFCAD files for all of the airfields and airports included in the ScotFlight scenery. This will allow the smaller airfields to appear on the FS2K2 GPS unit and all will be listed in the World/GOTO menu.
2) EditVoice files for the new airfields so you will hear the correct names on the radio. (optional)
3) General Aviation flightplans for all of the airports, which can be added using TTools v1.3.3 by Lee Swordy.
4) Scheduled airline flightplans for flights to/from Scottish airports and small islands. Including 99.9% COMPLETE UK flightplans for Eastern Airways and 15 (yes fifteen!) individual BAe Jetstream J41 models, courtesy of Tom Woods, to use as AI traffic on the Eastern Airways routes. Plus directions where to get other suitable aircraft for, ScotAirways, BA Loganair, EasyJet and Highland Airways. Many thanks to Tom for his hard work repainting all the registrations for the Eastern fleet!
PLEASE READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Anyone with the AFCAD and TTools programs by Lee Swordy should have no problem installing these files but, it needs care and attention to get them right.

| Zambia Airways DHC-2 Beaver c1966 |

This is a repaint of a DHC-2 Beaver in Zambia Airways colors. The freeware DHC-2 Beaver (wheels) by John L. Woodward is needed for this repaint. It is an FS2004 plane, but I flew it in FSX-SE using the default Beaver panel. The plane can be downloaded here on Avsim, file name: beaver_wheels_2005.zip. Zambia Airways was formed as a subsidiary of Central African Airways (CAA) in April 1964. When CAA collapsed in 1967, Zambia Airways became a fully Zambian owned carrier. In 1968, the fleet consisted of DHC2 Beavers, DC-3s, and two newly delivered BAC-111s from the defunct CAA. They flew on regional routes to Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Mauritius. Alitalia was also hired to provide support of the initiation of new international services. A Douglas DC-8-43 leased from Alitalia was used for the long-haul Lusaka to London flights, which were inaugurated in November 1968, via Nairobi and Rome. In 1970 Zambia Airways took delivery of 3 HS-748s, and in 1974 they received their first Boeing liner; the 707-343C. One year later the two BAC-111s were sold to Dan-Air. July 1976 saw the delivery of the carrier's first 737-200. Zambia Airways received their first wide-body DC-10-30 in July 1984. Zambia Airways did well financially over the years, but by the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, things were a bit more complicated. With financial difficulties facing Zambia Airways, it was forced into liquidation in December 1994. Zambia Airways operated a total of 4 DHC-2 Beavers on local services. This aircraft, 9J-RFZ, was with the airline from 1964 to 1967. This repaint should work on FSX & FS2004. Textures are 32bit BMP.

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of Frontier Airlines N65276, one of the C-47/DC-3's operated by Frontier Airlines. On April 21, 1957, at 1321 hours, N65276, operating as Frontier Airlines flight 7 departed Prescott, Arizona enroute to Phoenix under visual flight rules (VFR) with 21 passengers and one stewardess. As the flight proceeded southbound toward Phoenix the weather deteriorated to a point where the flight could no longer remain clear of clouds and maintain VFR. Captain Welling requested and received an instrument flight rules (IFR) clearance to proceed to Phoenix via Knob intersection thence to the Phoenix omni range, maintain 7000 feet. The crew never acknowledged receiving the clearance. It is suspected that the reason there was no response is that this was the precise moment that flight 7 struck the west ridge of a mountain at the 4500’ level southeast of Prescott shearing off twelve feet of the left wing and six feet of the left aileron. After declaring an emergency, flight 7 landed safely at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport without further incident. There was no injury to the passengers or crew. The wing was replaced and the aircraft continued flying for Frontier. Sadly, N65276 was lost in a tragic accident in 1967 on a snowy Denver day when a rudder-lock had been placed on an elevator and not removed prior to take-off. Both pilots were killed in the crash. B25-B Mitchell Doolitte's Raiders "Hari Carrier" A/C No. 40-2249, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #11, nicknamed The Hari Carrier. Pilot: Capt. C. Ross Greening, Co-Pilot: Lt. Kenneth E. Reddy, Navigator: Lt. Frank A. Kappeler, Bombardier: S/Sgt. William L. Birch, Flight Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Melvin J. Gardner. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Note the nose art. CYTZ is on an island in Lake Ontario and immediately adjacent to downtown Toronto. This updates the version made by Flight Ontario as there have been major changes since Porter Airlines purchased the airport. The obvious and main new item is the terminal, made with photo textures and with ten gates sized to accomodate the Dash 8-400 they currently use. The terminal has a passenger entrance and a vehicle setdown point as part of the link to the ferry terminal that wraps around the west side of the original and preserved terminal building. The ferry terminal is included here, along with a ferry. Also new are the car parking, road routing, gate and taxi markings, taxiways, taxiway signage, taxiway lighting, runway lighting, aprons, apron lighting (from Sid Schwartz and you will need to install his "lights_ss_v2"), fences, fuel tanks, tanker trucks, access roads to navigation equipment, ai parking, static parked planes, parked cars, apron equipment, and the useable floatplane ramp. The AI includes Porter, Jazz, several GA aircraft, and a helicopter. Only 3 of these require downloads. The Lake Ontario AI includes three large ships, typical of the traffic to be seen on all the Great Lakes. CYTZ has three runways and there is an airport diagram included. 08-26 has ILS and is the only runway actually long enough to be used by Porter; FS9 atc will ignore this. There is fuel available and it is dispensed from a truck. The longer projection from the front of the terminal building is a covered ramp that leads up from the terminal basement level, used by towed luggage trolleys. The gates are not powered in any way except for the weather cover that protects passengers as they cross the small area of asphalt between plane and gate. I did not try to reproduce this in FS9.

| FSX/P3D Seaboard World 707-345C 1968 |

This is a repaint of the 707-345C in Seaboard World 1968 colors. The payware Captain Sim 707-300C is needed for this repaint. New York based, Seaboard & Western Airlines - an all cargo airline, was renamed Seaboard World Airlines on 26 April 1961. The "new" airline received the first of 6 CL-44 turboprops in August 1961. The CL-44 was the first modern airliner designed solely to carry freight. They were put into service after August 1961. By 1962, the Lockheed Constellations were all replaced, and Seaboard became an all-turbine-powered airline (with the exception of a solitary C-46 based in Europe). Two years later in 1964, Seaboard received their first pure jets in three DC-8-Fs. 1964 was the airline's best year ever, as profits jumped by 53%, and the future looked very bright. However, it was not to be. Seaboard was forced to compete over its routes with the freight capacity of the passenger airlines, which annually became more competent in the cargo field. Although they did have a bright spot in providing charters to the military, the air freight industry as a whole will eventually fail to achieve the traffic potential envisioned by "aviation experts". Nevertheless, Seaboard, with new jetliners at their disposal, went on and provided excellent service to its customers. They offered a wide range of cargo services to many points in Europe. Eventually, falling passenger charters and stiff competition took their toll. Seaboard was bought out in 1980 by the only real all-cargo success at the time - The Flying Tiger Line. Seaboard operated 2n 707-300Cs from 1968 to 1969. This aircraft, N7322S, was leased from VARIG in 1968. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are DXT5 dds.
