Squamish is a town with a population of just under 20,000, located at the northern end of Howe Sound where the Squamish River reaches the sea. Howe Sound is 25 miles deep and around 10 miles northwest of downtown Vancouver. It was for years based on the surrounding timber and a pulp mill, but with the closure of the saw and pulp mills now is more tourist oriented and the escape for Vancouver residents looking for (relative) peace and quiet. The runway is 2,400 feet of asphalt aligned 14-32. The buildings are built on differing levels of terrain, and the taxiways are sloped access ramps between the levels. This, of course, cannot be replicated in FS9, but it explains what at first sight appears to be a strange layout. The buildings are fairly well replicated. This is not an airport, it is an airfield meant for summer use as there is no lighting of any sort for runway or taxiways. The AI includes both GA and the helicopter flights by the two companies with bases at Squamish, Black Tusk and Blackcomb, the latter having several bases in this area with a HQ in Whistler. If you have the Vancouver scenery by FSAddon then you will need to move some of their bgl's aside; there are screenshots so that you can see which ones I have relocated. Joshua Buckhorn is getting ready for his trip into the Canadian Wester Fur Route. As a trader of furs and FBO owner things up here in North Washington
are hard in this year of 1949. Just 5 years ago he was flying a huge B-17 over Germany. Now a new life has brought him into the dangers on Bush Flying.
As always before these flights, new oil and spark plugs must be placed in the plane, tyres must be just right and the fuel tanks got to be full to the top.
It is 5:45 AM and a big breakfast is a must before the flight, eggs, grits, potatoes, ham, bacon and NO beans since the gas they produce will disrupt the fligh. And don´t forget the "P" Bottle.----I hope you know how to balance a plane with all those furs and hides you will acquire in this trip full of danger in approaches and take offs from, indeed, very dangerous fields. ( Bonus you get 4 new airports for future flights if the business pays off)..:)

File Description:
One of several Naval Outlying Landing Fields (NOLF's) in the Pensacola area, Choctaw NOLF is currently the only NOLF capable of supporting the newest US Navy primary training aircraft, the T-6B Texan II. Choctaw NOLF is located in Milton, FL just 13nm South of NAS Whiting Field. Designed for FSX, Choctaw NOLF features working IFLOLS trailers designed by Sylvain Parouty. The trailers have a functioning "meatball" to help with Field Carrier Landing Practice. Buildings and other objects were placed using default FSX objects as well as a couple of add-on libraries. You will need rwy_mark.zip by Lance Tucker and fsx_lts.zip by Jim Dhaenens. Both files are available at flightsim.com. View the readme file for more info and acknowledgments. The goal of this scenery is the same as in the real world...to provide a secondary landing field for Virtual Student Naval Aviators to practice pattern work, touch and go's, and Carrier Landing Practice. It's a great place for your FSX T-6A or T-34C!

Royal Danish Air Force Lockheed F-104G Starfighter, aka the Zipper, Coffin Nail, Widowmaker, Flying Coffin, or Missile with a Man in It; in untrained hands it resembles a lawn dart, as nicknamed by the Canadians. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this hotrod of military jet history. Going into production in 1955, this aircraft was manufactured, directly or by license, by 6 countries, and served the air forces of 17 countries. Late examples served until 2004, nearly fifty years after its introduction. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the F-104G in the service of the Royal Danish Air Force; with a total of 12 models and 32 repaints; and additionally represents the Canadair CF-104s used by Denmark. I am also including some optional variants with separate manual install instructions. Original aircraft model and textures by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael MacIntyre.

File Description:
This texture folder is being updated to add a "highlight" to the emergency window/door on the right side of the cabin. This was overlooked in the original texture folder. Rather than attempt to update a single file in the folder, I choose to provide a full replacement texture folder. This was a special request from one of our friends in Denmark with close ties to the actual aircraft. I do not know how to make the dull finish that we see in the photos and it is way above my head on how to put the registration number on the engine covers. This is as close as I can get to the real world edition but it may be better than nothing for some folks. This repaint is for FSX, P3D, and FSX:Steam. You will need the payware version of the Carenado EMB505 HD Phenom 300 installed to use this repaint. Enjoy.
