Portland KPDX 2010 scenery for FS9 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Portland KPDX 2010 is a highly detailed and accurate replacement for the default FS9 KPDX scenery. The airport has been completely rebuilt and includes: * All new taxiways, aprons, roads, buildings and parking areas, covering the airport itself and extending east along Airport Way to the I205 bridge. * Custom terminal with accurate placement of jetways, gate numbers, ramp lighting and other features, including the Horizon Air terminal extension. * Custom versions of the old short-term and recently completed long-term parking structures. * Custom version of the very cool Horizon Air engine runup structure. * The I205 bridge has been moved to its correct location. If you are using Ultimate Terrain the bridge and roads will now line up. * Photo textures used wherever feasible. Peter Ham made the excruciatingly detailed AFCAD and placed the zillions of scenery objects. Sidney Schwartz made the stunningly attractive custom scenery objects. This project represents many hours of work on our part, and we hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed making it. This scenery was designed to work in conjunction with Ultimate Terrain. If you do not have Ultimate Terrain, some of the roads will probably be misplaced, but everything else should work OK.

Stephenville CYJT in Newfoundland Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Stephenville is on the east coast of Canada, and the airport was an American base from 1941, when it was built, until 1966. It was named the "Ernest Harmon Airforce Base" and I will leave that for you to research if you wish to know more. Operating in my version (around 2010?) as a civilian airport, it's main features are a long 10,000 feet 09-27 runway (with ILS on 27) and acres of empty space. The runway was one of those designated as an emergency space shuttle landing runway if required. There is a shorter 20-02 runway (3,000 feet) that is not maintained during the winter (and which would be closed in 2018). The revised perimeter fence of the airport now encloses less than half of the original area, with the northern parts replanned as an industrial park. The attached screenshot from Google Earth shows this, and also that the main operating part of the airport is at the western end of the main runway, with only one hangar connecting to the runway from the eastern end. Like Gander, the airport is still shrinking, with taxiways and aprons not maintained (particularly in the winter) or even formally closed, and flight numbers falling. Until the early 1990's Stephenville was serving most of western Newfoundland and Air Canada, for instance, was one of the airlines that flew there. Deer Lake took over this task for western Newfoundland when the Provincial Government so decided. Stephenville remains as a port of entry, and planes with a total of 30 or less passengers can still be serviced there. My version is a mixture that cannot be precisely dated. For instance, I know there was a large hangar there until 2013 but as I do not have any photos to make it I have shown only the concrete square where it formerly stood. So 2008 or 2013, or somewhere in between? I have the airport being served by Provincial Airlines and also by Porter, though in fact Porter only flew there during the Summer months; I say "flew" as right now all flights are of course almost totally non-existent. As with Gander, I have made it clear which of the taxiways and aprons are still in regular use by showing them as asphalt, while those in the process of decaying disuse or removal are in the darker gravel or tarmac textures; this is somewhat realistic as when asphalt aprons are "ploughed" for removal the darker underside becomes visible. I have also shown the areas that now form part of the Industrial Park as cement, as this better matches the Ultimate Terrain road texture. It may seem odd that the new Canadian Coastguard hangar is not properly served by an asphalt taxiway instead of sitting on an apron that is not cleared in the winter, but it caters (mainly?) for helicopters. The original coastguard hangar is the large and decrepit one in the northeastern corner of the airport. Almost all of the buildings within the original perimeter of the airport are fairly accurately replicated here, whether still in use (Road Maintenance Department, Garbage Disposal, Armour Trucking Company, etc) or vacant (including the very strange atom-bomb-proof buried shelter) or still part of the airport (the east side of the main apron with Shell to the north, then the terminal, the Marine Institute, etc). The AI included here (a revised Gander AI) is for daily flights by Provincial Airlines, Porter, and some charter planes and GA. You will see, once the scenery is installed, that like Gander there two scenery folders called "Scenery summer" and "Scenery winter". Obviously in August you will want the summer scenery and you get this by editing the folder name down from "scenery summer" to just "scenery" and FS9 loads the summer ground textures. If FS9 decides that there is snow on the ground then you need the winter textures which do not show the aprons or taxiways that do not receive winter maintenance. One thing you must NOT DO is to edit both folders down at the same time.

Nigeria Airways 1998 AI Flightplans Download

File Description:
Unfortunately, between the early 1990s and 1998, Nigeria Airways had drastically reduced it's European network, ending service to places like London and Amsterdam and disposing of most of the A310s and DC-10s. Flights to Dubai were now on a charter basis, with the DC-10 only doing a LOS-KAN-JED route once per week. The DC-10 also did maintenance in MIA, so I included a ferry flight there but it usually sits in Lagos unused. A single PW-powered A310-200 and a DC-10-30 were doing the longhaul flights while the A310s and several 737-200s were flying around Africa. There were 3 A310s stored; 2 in Lagos and one impounded in BRU(to become a cafe in 12/99) with none in flying conditions. I have them sitting idle in LOS as in real life, but since they were not in flying condition, they only do a touch and go landing once per week in the middle of the night. I will give them proper parking spots when I do the LOS ADEX eventually, but delete them if you wish. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Repaints are in the Avsim library, filenames included. KLM Aerocarto DH-89B Dominie (PH-OTA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This file contains a repaint for the beautiful de Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood c.s. which is available at Classic British Flight Sim. It features the DH-89B Dominie PH-OTA of KLM's susidiary KLM Aerocarto which was used from 1952 till 1962 for air photography. The real aircraft still exists, in the camouflage livery it had during its days with the -then- Netherlands Air Force. It is part of the static collection of the Nationaal Militair Museum (National Military Museum) at Soesterberg, Netherlands which is to open its doors in the Autumn of 2014. The de Havilland DH-89 Dragon Rapide was designed as a short-haul airliner for 6-8 passengers, making its first flight from Hatfield on 17 April 1934. During WW2 many Dragon Rapides were impressed by the military forces for communications transport and served under the name de Havilland Dominie. Additionally over 500 Dominies were built, the majority as radio and navigation trainers but several also as communications and transport aircraft. Since de Havilland's priority was the mass production of the famous Mosquito, 335 of the Dominies (including PH-OTA) were built by Brush Coachworks Ltd., Loughborough, UK. In all 731 DH-89's were built, several of which are still airworthy some 68 years after production came to an end. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

AP - Alt - VS MultiFuel Flaps v1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This gauge is for use in the Saitek FIP and is an extension to my recent Baron 58 (FSX default) gauge . That gauge was designed for a specific aircraft whilst this package of three gauges has the same functionality of the BB58 gauge but will work on all aircraft. Each of the three gauges displays fuel level for different tanks but are identical in all other respects. As part of your pre-flight checklist you will need to make sure the right gauge for the aircraft is being displayed. The set of 3 gauges have been designed to complement the saitek AP / Multi panel. The gauges primarily show the selected AP Altitude and Vert Spd whilst the AP / multi panel is displaying HDG. Five indicators for "lights on" are included as well as lights for landing gear (in transition and down) . The flaps indicator shows a blue light for intermediate positions and a yellow light when at full down position. A separate flaps position indicator (numerical and needle) is included. The 5 fuel indicators in each gauge are vertical analogue 'meters'. Rudder and aileron trim is displayed and controlled by the two FIP rotary knobs. Pitch trim readout and other functions is included. NOTE. This package includes a pitch trim image file that was inadvertently left out of my original BB58_AP_Alt_VS_and_Fuel_v1.zip folder.

Chilean Transports and Tankers Complete AI Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The members of Military AI Works are proud to bring you this freeware AI package, produced by Mike Guenthner in conjunction with Military AI Works and adds the three recently acquired KC-135E aircraft of the Chilean Air Force (FACh) as well as their C-130B aircraft to your FS9 skies.

This package is the first release of the MGAI KC-135E model which is based on the original MAIW KC-135R AI model and shares the same animations and features as its newer cousin. The Henry Tomkiewicz C-130 AI models round out the included military aircraft in this package. These three Hercules AI aircraft were originally released in 2007 as part of the "MAIW Exotic Alberts" package. If you have previously installed the "Exotic Alberts Chile" package, you should remove all contents from that package prior to installing this package. We have updated the textures for these C-130B aircraft as well as made some other minor changes to them which reflect the changes that have occurred since 2007.

Mountain View CPZ3 in Ontario, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is Mountain View, a small RCAF airfield at the eastern end of Lake Ontario on Prince Edward Island, some 40 miles west of Kingston. Mountain View is used for training during the summer months, and part of this training is for C-130 crews, who practice landing on rough or unprepared landing strips. The crews are based at Trenton, which is a large base 10 miles to the northwest on the mainland. There are (or were, I haven't seen it recently) numerous parked and ancient fighter planes such T-33's and Canadair Tutors; these could also have possibly been used for summer training or perhaps were just stored. Last summer there were only two hangars left standing; in 2002 there were five. In real life you would be on the lookout not only for C-130's but also (at certain times during the summer) for parachutists and also gliders. This airfield is one that you will fly over and not land on; I confess that I have cheated with the length of the 06L-24R gravel "practice" runway, so that it became possible for the FS version of a touch-n-go with a C-130 to be completed without using the grass. The aerial photograph shows the new "practice" gravel runway under construction.

YCDN Corunna Downs Station and Old Corunna Downs RAAF (Closed) Download

File Description:
Corunna Downs heritage listed RAAF Base was a secret airfield located in scrub and spinifex country, about 16 kms south west of Marble Bar, the hottest part of the "The Pilbara" area of Western Australia. Not a very ideal place to have a tent city. Today there are very few reminders of the once busy airfield. One can see some crumbling foundations and half filled post holes. 73 OBU operated the Corunna Downs airfield which comprised two intersecting bitumen runways, now regressed and graded occasionally. One ran approximately north-south, 5,000 feet in length while the other ran approximately east-west, 7,000 feet in length. Both runways were approximately 150 feet wide. A 50 foot wide taxiway linked the northern end of the north-south runway to the western end of the east-west runway. Approximately 20 camouflaged revetments to disperse aircraft to minimise bomb damage were constructed at Corunna Downs. Permission is required for landing and there may be vegetation on the strip if not graded recently. No cones or windsock so be careful. Corunna Downs Homestead is also heritage listed and consists of graded strips and homestead complex. Start points are at the homestead and the RAAF base is to the west. Su-34 (Su-27IB) Fighter Bomber Download

File Description:
The Su-34 (also known as Su-27IB) fighter bomber has been developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau Joint Stock Company in Moscow and the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association at Novosibirsk in Russia. First deliveries of the fighter bomber are expected to begin in 2005 and it is planned as a replacement for Su-24 and Su-25 aircraft. Su-34 is one of a number of Russian aircraft (Su-27, Su-30, Su-33 and Su-35) which have been given the NATO codename Flanker. The Su-34 fighter bomber is a derivative of the Su-27 fighter aircraft. The aircraft design retains the basic layout and construction of the Su-27 airframe, with a conventional high-wing configuration and a substantial part of the onboard equipment. The Su-34 has a changed contour of the nose section to accommodate an advanced multi-mode phased array radar with terrain following and terrain avoidance modes. It has a two-seat rather than single-seat cockpit. The capacity of the internal fuel tanks has been increased with a resulting increased take-off weight. Changes have been made to the central tail boom for a rear-facing radar. This model of the Su-34 for X-Plane version 6.30 includes two air-to-air missile types, the R-27, and R-73. Once downloaded, install the missiles into your weapons folder.
