VGCB Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh Download

File Description:
Googly scenery for VGCB Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, a small domestic airport serving the fishing town of the same name in the Bay of Bengal, to the south of Chittagong. It boasts extensive sandy beaches which has allowed tourism development. The unusual name comes from Captain Hiram Cox of the British East India Company who was appointed Superintendent of the outpost in the late 1700s. The airport, which was originally a Pakistan Air Force base, sees domestic flights (mostly to/from Dhaka) operated by Hawker Siddeley 748s, de Havilland Dash 8s and Fokker Fellowship aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, GMG Airlines, United Airways and Zoom Airlines. Flight Simulator 2004 has made no provision for traffic with only a runway provided and this scenery seeks to redress the situation. The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high quality satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing. You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without.

Concorde Supersonic Sound Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
SkyHigh Audio Simulations is proud to present our new FSX Concorde Sound Package! This add-on will hopefully bring Concorde back to life since the real thing no longer flies and I do not think an Olympus 593 turbojet engine has run since 2003. So to achieve this goal, I have worked to the bone to fine tune this sound and add as many features as possible. The main new feature of this sound is XML Gauge Sound technology, never seen before in a SkyHigh sound release, or on any sound package release for that matter. The XML gauge sounds include a brake sound, sonic boom sound effect, as well as a switch panel that plays various cabin announcements. 3D Sound Cone Technology has of course, been extensively used in this release, as with our other FSX sound releases. You can even hear the ground trembling from the noise when Concorde flies by. I could go for days explaining the features of these sounds but I'd like for you to hear them for yourself. So please give this download a go if you want to bring Concorde back to life with a very realistic sounding Concorde sound package for FSX! Please visit our website at: www.skyhighflightsim.webs.com for more info and sound packs!

Remote Tower Base, Washington State USA Download

File Description:
Remote Tower Base Operations, Washington State - Airport ID: TOWR (FSX). -
OK, all you Rotorheads - This is a fictional version of a very remote Helicopter landing pad on the Olympic Penn.. You must fly a Helo. I created it for my personal enjoyment and now I am releasing to the public as freeware. I hope you enjoy the "eye-candy". There are multiple radio and fire spotting towers in the area to check out. -
At least it gives you something to travel there for. -
This is an extremely challenging spot to land, especially using real Wx. The landing pad is basically a postage stamp. I created it and have a tough time landing here myself, so have fun with this one. -
You may also go directly to this airport by selecting TOWR as your starting airport. I also added a series of images so you can figure out how to get there from somewhere else. If you have my Wynoochie Lake scenery, its only 6 miles from there. (Just a heads-up) -
Designed with the FS X Sdk Scenery function of the Mission builder, Lee Swordy's AFCAD & the Abacus Scenery shortcut tool. - This scenery is frame rate friendly.

KILE, Killeen Texas airport Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package covers KILE, Killeen Texas airport. It is a city owned public use airport located 3 miles east of Killeen Texas. It has one runway that is 5,495 x 100 feet. Almost 100 custom objects are included in this package. They include: All hangers and buildings on the airport grounds made from on site photos. Several buildings surrounding the airport grounds. All taxiway and runway signs. All taxiway, runway and approach lighting. ILS antenna, localizer, etc. Fuel tanks and parking T's. Night lighting where appropriate. Currently I am using the default land class instead of photo real because I couldn't find any photo real that suited my needs. I welcome your feedback good or bad. Currently this airport is only for P3D. I may create an FSX version if I have enough requests. I started learning to make 3d objects and airports last year and I am learning something new every day. I hope you enjoy! I plan on improving the night lighting for the runway lights, runway end lights, taxiway lights, etc. to make them more visible from a distance at night. I also want to replace the stock P3D vehicles with my own design and a few other things to come in an updated version down the road.

Instructions:

There are 3 folders in this package; effects, scenery and texture. Create a subfolder under the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Scenery folder and call this new folder KILE. Place the scenery and texture folders (with their associated contents) under this newly created KILE subfolder. Place only the contents (not the folder) of the effects folder in the P3D effects folder often located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Effects. Now start up P3D. On the menu at the top of the P3D screen click on World > Scenery Library > Add Area. This will bring up the Add Scenery Area dialog box. Click the Browse button and browse to find the newly created KILE folder. It should be located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Scenery. Once you select the KILE folder, click the OK button. This will place that folder in the P3D scenery library. You will notice that the library is organized by priority starting at 1. I have my KILE scenery set as #4 priority but I am not sure if it needs to be that high. I did notice during design that sometimes my ground texture at the airport would act strange and I found that by setting KILE to a higher priority, it fixed that. As a last step make sure the checkbox to enable the scenery is checked and click OK. You should now have the new KILE scenery available to use.

Nigeria Airways 1998 AI Flightplans Download

File Description:
Unfortunately, between the early 1990s and 1998, Nigeria Airways had drastically reduced it's European network, ending service to places like London and Amsterdam and disposing of most of the A310s and DC-10s. Flights to Dubai were now on a charter basis, with the DC-10 only doing a LOS-KAN-JED route once per week. The DC-10 also did maintenance in MIA, so I included a ferry flight there but it usually sits in Lagos unused. A single PW-powered A310-200 and a DC-10-30 were doing the longhaul flights while the A310s and several 737-200s were flying around Africa. There were 3 A310s stored; 2 in Lagos and one impounded in BRU(to become a cafe in 12/99) with none in flying conditions. I have them sitting idle in LOS as in real life, but since they were not in flying condition, they only do a touch and go landing once per week in the middle of the night. I will give them proper parking spots when I do the LOS ADEX eventually, but delete them if you wish. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Repaints are in the Avsim library, filenames included. Supermarine Spitfire IX ML214 126 Sqn 5J-K Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc ML214 5J-K as flown by Squadron Leader Ioannis Agorastos "John" Plagis of RAF 126 (Persian Gulf) Squadron, based in RAF Culmhead, may 1944. S/L Plagis was born in Rhodesia of Greek parents and was officially listed as a Greek pilot with the RAF. He enlisted in october 1940, and was trained in the UK before being sent to the Mediterranean. He flew a Spitfire off HMS Eagle to Malta, where he soon became the first Spitfire ace with 249 squadron. His final score on Malta was 10, keeping a vow he made when a friend of his was shot down by the Germans. He returned to the UK in august 1942 and spent a year as an instructor. He returned to active duty in september 1943 as CO of 64 squadron, and joined No 126 squadron in january 1944. He picked ML214 as his personal aircraft because of the K on the tail, since all his aircraft were always named after his sister Kay. He ended the war flying Mustangs, with an official score of 16 aircraft and two probables, making him the highest ranking Rhodesian and Greek pilot. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX BS273 High Altitude Flight Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc BS273, which was one of the Spitfires modified for high altitude interceptions, based at Northolt, 1942, and regularly flown by F/O Prince Emmanuel Galitzine. The prince was a Russian immigrant, a great grandson of Tsar Paul 1. After the Russian revolution, his family fled Russia, ending up in England. He wanted to fly, and when the Russian attacked Finland, he decided to join the Finnish Air Force. However, on hearing his mother was killed in the London blitz, he returned to the uK (via the US and Canada) and joined the RAF, becoming a Spitfire pilot with the Special Service Flight in Northolt. On 12 september 1942, he intercepted a JU-86 above Southampton at 41.000ft and attacked it. The battle went up to 43.000 ft, and was the highest recorded air battle of WWII. His spitfire only had two cannons, and one of them was frozen solid, giving a very unbalanced flight while shooting, combined with excessive vapor trails of his ammunition. It is believed he managed to hit the german aircraft, but in the end it got away safely. However, since the Germans now knew they could be intercepted, they launched no more high altitude attacks on the UK. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

KLM Aerocarto DH-89B Dominie (PH-OTA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This file contains a repaint for the beautiful de Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood c.s. which is available at Classic British Flight Sim. It features the DH-89B Dominie PH-OTA of KLM's susidiary KLM Aerocarto which was used from 1952 till 1962 for air photography. The real aircraft still exists, in the camouflage livery it had during its days with the -then- Netherlands Air Force. It is part of the static collection of the Nationaal Militair Museum (National Military Museum) at Soesterberg, Netherlands which is to open its doors in the Autumn of 2014. The de Havilland DH-89 Dragon Rapide was designed as a short-haul airliner for 6-8 passengers, making its first flight from Hatfield on 17 April 1934. During WW2 many Dragon Rapides were impressed by the military forces for communications transport and served under the name de Havilland Dominie. Additionally over 500 Dominies were built, the majority as radio and navigation trainers but several also as communications and transport aircraft. Since de Havilland's priority was the mass production of the famous Mosquito, 335 of the Dominies (including PH-OTA) were built by Brush Coachworks Ltd., Loughborough, UK. In all 731 DH-89's were built, several of which are still airworthy some 68 years after production came to an end. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.
