File Description:
Knight Inlet is a floating lodge that organises "nature experiences", ranging from close encounters with local grizzly bears to fishing. Knight Inlet is to the north of "the narrows" where the Inside Passage gets squeezed between the mainland and Vancouver Island, and there is a chart section attached with a pointer to the location. At the bottom of the chart is Campbell River floatbase, and to the west is Port Hardy. Knight Inlet initially runs east-west, and the lodge is tucked into a smaller north-south offshoot, close to where the main inlet turns north. The water runway here is in the middle of the north-south offshoot, though of course in reality the "runway" is wherever the wind dictates it to be. The names highlighted in green on the chart are float bases to be renovated and posted with working AI. The buoyed log boom next to the lodge is to keep escaped logs from drifting in and colliding with boats; float plane pilots keep their eyes peeled too. Because of large hills adjacent to the lodge the landing of the AI may or may not take place, depending on wind direction and whether or not they fly into rock before landing. Take off and departure are far more reliable, particularly if the wind is from the south. Most of the AI is from Vancouver Harbour, Harbour Air Otters and West Coast Air Beavers, plus a SeAir Beaver from Campbell River and a private Cessna from the nearby Minstrel Island. This is the second in a series of new and renovated float bases in BC (the first being Sproat Lake) and to cope with the AI demands FSAddon have authorised the inclusion here of a bunch of AI Otters and Beavers that were originally part of a payware scenery for the area. This folder contains 6 types of EICAS (Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System) for BAE146, B747, A380, A340, an all types in one and a single full display EICAS. Each aircraft has 3 EICAS, EICAS2 and 3 provide same information indifferent ways.
EICAS 1 provides: N1, EPR, EGT, N1 bug, Throttle lever bar, Reverse text, Pitch trim, Spoilers, Gears position, Flaps position, TAT, Total fuel quantity. Left knob adjusts Spoilers. Right knob adjusts N1 bug.
EICAS 2 provides: N2, Fuel flow, Oil pressure, Oil temperature, Engine vibration, Throttle lever bar, All individual fuel tanks quantity, total fuel quantity. No action with knobs.
EICAS 3 provides same as EICAS 2 but all left fuel tanks quantity, all center fuel tanks quantity, all right fuel tanks quantity, aileron trim and rudder trim.

| Fairchild C-82A Packet (Project Phoenix) |

File Description:
First and foremost, this aircraft package is dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Mantz, a veteran stunt pilot who gave his life in the making of the 1965, 20th Century Fox movie, “Flight of the Phoenix” starring James Stewart and a strong cast of other well known actors.
This package contains not only the C-82 Packet, but, as a special feature, “The Phoenix” as well. For those of you who have not seen this classic, you are missing a real jewel. It can still be obtained in VHS or DVD at www.amazon.com I highly recommend it.
The C-82 comes in three paint schemes, U.S.A.F., Bush Flying Unlimited, and of course, Arabco Oil. The Phoenix is painted as it was in the movie. Both aircraft have excellent panels built by K. Mitchell and the C-82 possesses a very nice virtual cockpit on par with that found in the C-119; previously released. These are DXT-3 textures with no mip-maps to preserve image clarity. I chose this format in the attempt to maintain a minimal upload/download package size. I will be following up with individual texture replacement packages in 32-bit for those who wish them.
I hope you enjoy this flightsim model as much as I did putting this package together. I could not have done so without the excellent help and work of Daisuke Yamamoto, Herb Morse, K. Mitchell, Mike Hambly, and Brent Hricziscse.

File Description:
With the kind permission of Daisuke Yamamoto, this package is a rework of his wonderful model of the Fairchild C-119 "Flying Boxcar."
You will still need either his base model, filename: c119bxcr.zip (available from www.flightsim.com ) or my reworked package from AVSIM, filename HS-119-32; but this package includes an updated model file from Mr. Yamamoto, flight performance tweaks by Brian Gladden and Herb Morse, and a "polished," "roughened" version of Mr. Yamamoto's "blank" texture for those of you who wish to add your own livery paint and one for "Bush Flying Unlimited" ( http://bfu.avsim.net/archive.htm ) These repaints are in 32-bit hi-res format with no mip-maps.
Thank you Mr. Yamamoto for providing the flight community with such a wonderful model of a classic workhorse.
