File Description: Tips and Tricks - Number 14. In this issue there is a discussion of the MS Traffic Tool Box addon which many may not know exists. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are also included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. There is also a segment reviewing some exceptional aircraft design work. In addition there is a "from the e-mailbag" department where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. File Description: Tips and Tricks - Part 13. This issue, the first of the Fall 2005 season, attempts to dispel the notion that you can become "bored" with FS2004. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. A new feature is a "From the Mailbag" segment where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. There is also a group of BONUS files which I believe you will enjoy using. File Description: Tips and Tricks for FS2004 - Issue Number 25 - Addenda. This latest issue of Tips and Tricks is a compilation of various items which have crossed my desk since the "final" issue was released in November of 2006. Many new, and hopefully useful, ideas are presented with the goal of providing something of interest for those who are new to FS2004 as well as experienced users. One segment details the procedures I used to setup a second installation of FS2004 on the same hard drive. Additionally, there are two "from the e-mail bag" segments which answer questions of general interest plus a special set of Bonus files. An updated index for the entire series (compiled by John Burford) is also included. Please unzip to a temporary folder. Riddle Airlines DC-4

File Description:
Riddle Airlines DC-4 This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, April, 2006, textures only. The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip. Riddle Airlines began operations in 1945 as a non scheduled carrier. Later as a mostly all cargo airline it began scheduled operations and flew passenger/cargo flights for the US military. Riddle flew C46s, DC-4s, DC-6s, DC-7s, DC-8s and Armstrong Whitworth Argosy turboprops. The name changed to Airlift International in 1963. Airlift acquired Slick Airways in 1966 and managed to survive several bankruptcies only to go under for good in 1991. Riddle was founded by John Paul Riddle, also a founder of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University of Prescott, Arizona and Daytona Beach, Florida.

Montserrat Island - Leeward Islands, Lesser Antilles, Caribbean Sea

File Description: A representation of Montserrat using photo-real scenery along with hand placed autogen. Montserrat is a British overseas territory located in the Leeward Islands, part of the chain of islands called the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Its capital city of Plymouth was destroyed by an eruption of the previously dormant Soufriere Hills volcano in 1995. Between 1997 and 2005, Montserrat had been accessible only by helicopters or boats. The airport's name was changed in July 2008 to honour John Osborne, long-standing Chief Minister of Montserrat and the airline FlyMontserrat has its headquarters on the airport property. For the best results of this scenery, PWSceneries Volume 5 has to be installed. Features included are custom photo scenery covering the entire island, hand placed autogen, detailed 3D Objects and custom buildings. Works in FSX and P3D.

New 300-m (LOD7) Terrain Mesh of British Columbia and Southeast Alaska #4

File Description:
Mid-resolution (300-m) terrain mesh for the entire province of British Columbia (950,000 square km) and the Alaska panhandle southeast of N60 W139. Made from 250m-resolution source data without oversampling. Easy on frame rates and hard drive space. It transforms the rounded mountains of the default terrain mesh into a much more realistic representation of the diverse topography of this beautiful corner of the world. Experience the spectacular scenery between Vancouver and Atlin, Juneau and Fort St. John, and Mount Robson to Clayoquot Sound. Fourteen independent mesh tiles allow you to select the region(s) you like best. Several high-resolution add-on meshes will be uploaded separately. By Holger Sandmann. USAAF B-24D "Brewery Wagon" 376th BG 9th AAF

File Description:
This B-24D-25-CO #41-24294 was assigned to the 512th Bomb Squadron, 376th Bomb Group, 9th AAF. This aircraft was assigned to 1Lt Bob Storz and he named the ship after their family brewery in Omaha, Nebraska. On the 1 Aug 1943 Ploesti mission, 1Lt John Palm's crew took it to that fiery target. Realizing the 376th lead ship and commander had made a wrong turn, Palm broke away and made directly for the refineries by himself. Severely battered by the ground defenses, Palm struggled toward the target. They never made it for Hauptmann Wilhelm Steinmann from 1/JG4 found the cripple and shot them down. Palm and seven other men emerged from the wreck to become POWs. They had the dubious distinction of being the first Liberator to fall to the defenses that day. Textures only, requires the original PAYWARE Alpha-Sim aircraft.
