Tips and Tricks Number 20 - March 2006 Edition. This issue includes a few Tips that may help solve a couple of common problems as well as several links to very interesting and useful sites. Included is the popular "From the E-Mail Bag" department which answers a question of general interest. New in this issue is a section devoted to an aircraft of historical interest. There is also a Tip which will lead you to some really exceptional AI work. An updated index by John Burford for the entire series in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format is included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Please unzip to a temporary location using the folders option. Compiled in .pdf format for your flying enjoyment.

Tips and Tricks - Number 22 - May 2006 Issue. This is the last issue before Summer Vacation and it is packed fuller than usual with a wide assortment of tips and ideas designed to enhance your FS2004 flying experience. Of special interest is a segment which will help you create your own VIP parking space. The regular "From the E-mail bag" and "Of Historic Interest" segments are included as well as several suggestions for unusual Vacation Destinations - three in South America and one in the Caribbean. Also included is a brief tribute to the late Leon Louis. An updated index in .pdf format for the entire series by John Burford is also included. This scenery replaces the FSX default airport and brings the Monroe County Airport - KBMG in Bloomington, Indiana, USA, up to date with it's current Airport Diagram with added buildings, taxiways, and as much true-life character as I could find in available 3rd party freeware scenery object libraries. This scenery was specifically created to overcome the issue of appearing/disappearing buildings and scenery objects when using on top of photoreal scenery, such as Megascenery Earth Indiana V2 & V3 sceneries. This scenery does require that you have two addon scenery libraries installed and activated. Refer to the readme.txt file for more information.

FS2004 Scenery - KMMV - Evergreen Museum. Located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, some 40 miles South of Portland, Oregon, McMinnville Municipal Airport (KMMV) serves McMinnville and Yamhill County and is owned by the City Of McMinnville, Oregon.
The airport is the home of the Cascade Soaring Club and Evergreen International, a global aviation services company. Adjacent to the airport is the new Evergreen Aviation Museum whose centerpiece is the famous "Spruce Goose".
This scenery includes a replica of the Museum and the new IMAX theater. Requires EZ Scenery Libraries. Installations included for default FS9 roads or for users who have USA Roads installed. The De Havilland Heron must be the smallest four engine airliner in the world! And it can take off and land almost anywhere. This, the second in my Three Herons series, represents the Mark 2B variety with the luxury of retractable undercarriage giving improved performance. This is G-AOGO - one of nine Herons that served the airline for many years on charter work and scheduled services to the Channel Islands, West Wales and Holland from Croydon (initially) and Gatwick Airports. This package includes a high detail panel featuring many new gauges. As these gauges are common to all three in this series, these have been placed in a separate download herongg.zip. This is G-ANXB - named Sir James Simpson, which served British European Airways for many years serving the Scottish islands and regularly used to land on the beach at Barra. This package includes a high detail panel featuring many new gauges. As these gauges are common to all three in this series, these have been placed in a separate download herongg.zip. Since Carenado started making aircraft for X Plane , a fellow painter named Leen de Jager converted my FS 9 / FS X Carenado Mooney paints for use in that sim . Leen recently made this paint of N17NS for X Plane , so I have returned the favour and converted his paint for use in FS 9 / FS X . Leen has redrawn the panel lines and riveting and so has also changed the bump mapping for the FS X version .
This is a revised version of the earlier mooney_n17ns.zip , with an improved spinner . If you have downloaded the earlier version just replace those textures with these .
Full instructions are included for installing into FS 9 or FS X .

| Pegasus Aviation AI Pack: The Viscount Flies On |

In deepest darkest Africa, one Viscount can still be found flying commercially - with Pegasus Aviation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
These files include the aircraft, appropriate AI flight plans and AFCAD files for some of the airports served. Although not a true "AI
aircraft" it is unlikely to cause a strain on computer resources given the light
demands of AI traffic and scenery in the Congo area on Flight Simulator.
The aircraft is a modified version of Rick Piper's excellent Vickers Viscount 800
model available from http://www.btinternet.com/~rick.piper/ . If you wish to fly
the Pegasus Aviation Viscount yourself, please download the original aircraft files
from his site and install these textures to work with them - what is included
here is not suitable for your own flying as the Flight Dynamics have been modified
to work as AI traffic. [File re-uploaded at request of AVSIM] Footnote - since this file was first released in 2007, the aircraft has changed hands, it passed to Mango Airlines as 9Q-COD and is currently out of service at FZQA Lubumbashi. Sadly, it seems that the Viscount no longer flies on.
