| Cessna 414A Pressurized Business Twin |
|
File Description:
The Cessna 414A is a 6-8 place pressurized twin used mainly by businesses. It has an 8,000 ft cabin at 23,000 ft. The pressurization allows you to fly the plane at 25,000 ft at 225 knots making climbs and descents at much higher rates than in unpressurized aircraft. This aircraft is very easy to fly although it is fully realistic regarding power settings, climb rates, cruise speeds and stall speeds. Stall speed is 72 KIAS so you can land it at a about 90 KIAS. The modern panel includes a PFD and an MFD/GPS with digital xml gauges by the author. A cabin altitude gauge is a guide to managing your descent from high altitude. This original model, the flight dynamics and the digital panel are by Tom Goodrick using Abacus' FSDSII Pro.

|

File Description:
More than 10,000 virtual pushbacks were done by previous versions of this panel. It's time to upgrade to v3.0! Planning an international flight to Eastern Europe or Russia? Version 3.0 has an additional Pushback Truck Switch Panel that makes it possible to choose between English and Russian groundcrew to use both in one flight. You can still use a standalone panel either English or Russian like in versions v1.0 and v2.0. Includes Brake Sound FX. Supports FS9, FSX, and all versions of P3D including v4.0 and later. Based on Groundhandling gauges by Rob Barendregt and Doug Dawson's XML Sound Gauge. The panel is intended for aircraft Pushback procedures. NOTE: Before installing the version v3.0 it's recommended to remove all previous versions of the Pushback Panel. The panel review: https://youtu.be/_DCAzLg-w2k

| Learner Aircraft --Cessna 172-- |
|
File Description:
This is the standard fs9 Cessna 172 with a custom panel to enhance learning the principles of Flight and Navigation. Large gauges are on the panel plus digital readouts for most of the gauges so that there will be no guessing of the readings. The view over the panel is 50% larger than the default Cessna 172. Not on the panel are most of the non-flying gauges such as fuel gauges, engine instruments, engine controls, etc. The intent was to keep the panel uncluttered. Thanks to Norman Hancock and Dave Bitzer for the non-standard gauge designs, and to Tom Goodrick for the great auto-start/auto-stop flight timer and to Kyle Copeland for the fine panel Bitmap. Easy install self-extracting file. By Charles Wood.

- in it's TU Braunschweig layout from 2003. Detailed Gmax rebuild with completely instrumented flyable VC though with FS2002-style levers and unfinished interior.
Just about all that moves on the real thing moves accordingly here. Further improved flight characteristics using the FS9 turboprop model now featuring properly flat-rated PT6A-110 engines. Treat this bird nicely and it will treat you well also. Disregard it's few limitations - then look out :-)
This project can only be finished if my currently disappeared excellent gmax design partner Antonis "Anthony" Konstantinidis reappears again (the detailed outside texturing is also by him). Please contact me if you know what has happened to him.

| EGVL - RAF Little Rissington - Gloucestershire, England |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Representative scenery of RAF Little Rissington in Gloucestershire.
RAF Little Rissington (ICAO: EGVL) is an RAF aerodrome and former RAF station in Gloucestershire, England. It was once home to the Central Flying School, the Vintage Pair and the Red Arrows.
Built during the 1930s, the station was opened in 1938 and closed in 1994. The married-quarters and main technical site were sold in 1996 (the former becoming the village of Upper Rissington), but the aerodrome has been retained by the Ministry of Defence and remains active along with the southern technical sites, under the operational control of No.2 Flying Training School at RAFC Cranwell.
It is now home to 637 Volunteer Gliding Squadron as the primary military unit, who provide elementary flying training for Combined Cadet Force and Air Training Corps cadets. The airfield is also used by the forces as a relief landing ground, training area and parachute dropping area. In previous years, the Royal Air Force estate has been used as a film set, including The Avengers, part of the ice chase in Die Another Day, and the Thunderbirds film.
This scenery has been made using various scenery libraries, mainly from MAIW. Full listing in the docs.

| Rae Lakes CYRA at Gameti in the NW Territories Canada, corrected |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a corrected version that rectifies the airfield elevation, which I forgot to include in the first post; 120 downloads and nobody tells me till now? The remainder of this is as first written, apart from the installation instructions: Gameti is a village in the Northwest Territories, around 65 miles north of Whati, which was recently posted. Until 2005 the village, which has a population of around 280, was known as Rae Lakes and the airfield is now renamed Gameti/Rae Lakes as shown in the 2010 version of the Nav Canada Flight Supplement, my standard reference year. Permanent settlement was established there in 1965 There is no all-weather road access and the village is reliant upon the airfield for supplies, along with an ice road in the winter months. The airfield is a mile or so east of the village, with a lit gravel runway of just over 3,000 feet aligned 14-32 and with PAPI at both ends. The airfield is served by Air Tindi from Yellowknife on an almost daily basis, included in the AI here along with some GA and a Friday delivery by a Buffalo DC3 that uses all of the runway. The runway has lake water at each end, ready for the unwary.

| North Manitoba Airfields 20# in Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
These are 20 airfields in north Manitoba, Canada. They were all previously posted individually But not on Avsim. There is a screenshot of Google Earth showing their names and locations amid other airfields. "Lodge" indicates the fact that there is a fishing lodge and airfield at that location but that I have no information to enable me to make the scenery. There are also some airfields that I downloaded years ago and are part of my FS9 set up, such as Flin Flon. There is AI with the supply flights that are vital for these isolated outposts. Gillam is a northern airfield that is connected to the rest of Canada by a railroad that continues north to Churchill Manitoba on the Hudson Bay coast and is used for grain exports during the ice-free summer months. A large number of the supply flights originate from Gillam. You may wonder about the numbers of fuel tanks at these airfields. These are not for the airfield use, they are for the settlement to be able to generate electricity and also to provide heating in the winter. If you find an error email me please, and note that my email address has been changed to rogwens at Gmail dot com.
