Antonov AN-225 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This version of the AN-225 is almost too accurate, yet as easy to fly as the real "Dream" it was designed to be. Everything has been incorportated in this version in order to make this the best of the best AN-225 versions for FSX ever produced. This work required well over 50 flight test hours and thousands of dollars worth of research and skill. It's all free, and offered for educational use. Anyone who has flown the previous versions will see a huge improvement in all aspects now offered in this fully refurbished model, based entirely on modern design data and aerodynamic details offered only recently. This model includes all factual performance, weight/balance, and aerodynamic details, and realistic thrust points with high turn radius wheel design. This model is absolutely realist in ever aspect. TCAS and Traffic Display Gauge V1.0 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This TCAS and Traffic Display Gauge Version 1.0 has been developed for the FSX Flight Simulator SP1/2. It should also work with Acceleration. The functionality for the TCAS part is based on general specs for commercial aircrafts. It does not provide in detail the function for a specific aircraft model. It is a generic gauge, and can be simply added to any aircraft as a standalone pop-up window. In addition the gauge provides a AI traffic display in the ranges of 10,20, and 40 miles. Within this display mode, no TCAS rules are valid, which means all AI aircraft are displayed independent of any altitude or distance. For installation and functional description look at the doc inside the Zip.

CREDIT goes to:
Stefan Schneider for his support on special XML issues and TCAS functionality.
Bob Familton for his review of the documentation and testing for SP1 FSX.
Doug Dawson for his dsd-XML-sound interface in order to generate the sounds.

File Description:
JetBlue Airways, the official airline sponsor of the Boston Red Sox, unveiled this A320-232 bearing the Boston Red Sox logos and became the first commercial aircraft to officially wear a Major League Baseball uniform/logo. Here's a description taken from JetBlue's press release regarding the details included on this aircraft; "this special A320 trades its signature JetBlue branding for a gray paint scheme inspired by the classic Red Sox road uniforms complete with blue wing fences with the Red Sox 'B'and a gray tail featuring the team's iconic dangling red socks. The aircraft also includes a banner (below the pilot's windows) commemorating Fenway Park's 100th anniversary alongside the JetBlue and Red Sox logos." I hope all you MLB fans and Boston Red Sox fans enjoy flying this wonderful aircraft as much as I did creating it. Repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is a complete install package. The Project Airbus A320 V2.1 model and air files are included. Uses default 737-400 panel and sounds. Please see Readme.txt for more details.

Republic P-47D-20 365th FG (B4-J) "the Madam" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-15-RE 42-75845 B4-J "The Madam". It was the assigned aircraft of Lieutenant John H. Fetzer, from Shreveport Louisiana, of the 387th FS/ 365th FG during D-Day. He was flying as wingman of Capt. Arlo Henry on 6 June 1944, D-Day, when they spotted a number of Tiger tanks trying to hide in a castle. Capt Henry blew up the castle with his bombs, while Lt Fetzer attacked a Tiger with his 1000 lb bombs. His first bomb exploded harmlessly in a field, but his second "my contribution to D-Day" exploded right behind the Tiger, flipping it over 3 times. As for 42-75845, she proved to be a very strong lady. It began its career with the initial start of operations of the 365h FG, with Lt. Fetzer as its original pilot. He named the aircraft after his future wife, Helen. It flew its 200th mission in March 1945, and continued right to the end of the war, as the only remaining original Thunderbolt of the 365th. She was shot up several times, had wings and engines replaced and countless holes patched, but its crew chief, Joe DiMaio remarked that as long as 'the Madam' came back, he would keep her flying, and he did. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

Skylab 2 Mission Download

File Description:
The Skylab space station was launched May 14, 1973, from the NASA Kennedy Space Center by a huge Saturn V launch vehicle, the moon rocket of the Apollo Space Program. Sixty-three seconds after liftoff, the meteoroid shield--designed also to shade Skylab's workshop --deployed inadvertently. It was torn from the space station by atmospheric drag. This event and its effects started a ten-day period in which Skylab was beset with problems that had to be conquered before the space station would be safe and habitable for the three manned periods of its planned eight-month mission. skylab 2 25 May 1973 13:00 GMT. Duration: 28.03 days. Call Sign: Skylab. Backup Crew: McCandless, Musgrave, Schweickart. Nation: USA. Agency: NASA. Launch Site: Cape Canaveral . Launch Complex: LC39B. Launch Vehicle: Saturn IB . LV Configuration: Saturn IB s/n SA-206. Program: Skylab. Class: Manned. Type: Lunar spacecraft. Spacecraft: Apollo CSM. Payload : Apollo CSM 116. Mass: 19,979 kg. Location of Spacecraft: Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola, FL. Perigee: 427 km. Apogee: 439 km. Inclination: 50.0 deg. Period: 93.2 min. Epic repair mission which brought Skylab into working order. Included such great moments as Conrad being flung through space by the whiplash after heaving on the solar wing just as the debris constraining it gave way; deployment of a lightweight solar shield, developed in Houston in one week, which brought the temperatures down to tolerable levels. With this flight US again took manned spaceflight duration record.

Lufthansa Airbus A380 version 2 Download

File Description:
The Airbus A380 is a doubledecker, four-engined airliner manufactured by Airbus S.A.S. It first flew on April 27, 2005 from Toulouse, France. Commercial flights should begin in 2006 after 15 months of testing. During much of ist development, the aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX. The A380 is now the largest passenger airliner, topping the Boeing 747, which was the largest for 35 years. However, the Antonov An-225 retains the record of being the world's largest commercial aircraft. The media has termed the A380 a "superjumbo", with some comparing it to Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose. The first A380 prototype was unveiled during a ceremony in Toulouse, France, on January 18, 2005. Its manufacturer's serial number is 001, and is registered as F-WWOW. The new Airbus will initially be sold in two versions: the A380-800, carrying 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or up to 800 passengers in a single-class economy configuration. Expected range for the -800 model is 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km). The second model, the A380-800F dedicated freighter, will carry 150 tons of cargo 5,600 miles (10,400 km). Airbus made the cockpit layout, procedures and handling characteristics similar to those of other Airbus aircraft to reduce crew training costs. Likewise, the A380 features a glass cockpit and side-stick flight controller. Panel, GAUGES, model, sound and textures by www.afs-design.de - Author: A.Meyer.
