| W90 - New London Airport - Virginia |

File Description:
New London Airport (FAA LID: W90) is a public-use airport located six miles (10 km) southwest of the central business district of Forest, a town in Bedford County, Virginia, United States. It is privately owned by Associated Wheels Inc. It is a public airport, but usually involves GA aircraft only. On Sundays during the summer and early fall, the runway is used as a dragstrip. Originally built in 1957 as a 1/4 mile dragstrip, airport operations were added in 1961 and the facility has served a dual-purpose since. Having been under the continued guidance of Rucker Tibbs, the airport changed hands in December 2005. Changes were made based on Google Maps. Created with Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects and custom buildings.

File Description:
PART 2 - THE PEACETIME YEARS
The post war Aironi retained their AR126 engines all the way to retirement in 1959, but they were modified to have feathering Savoia hydraulic constant speed airscrews which required new controls in the old cockpit. High power then became available for TOGA for the first time allowing take off from smaller harbours during air ambulance sorties, and perhaps overload survivor rescue. The omnipresent problem of engine overspeed disappeared, but the early series Bristol Pegasus engines remained too primitive to have cowl flaps to control engine cooling. The gondola lost its windows and ventral hatch to reduce drag. New navigation equipment and procedures were introduced.
ATTENTION -- THIS IS A FLIGHT SIMULATION SUPPLEMENT.

| Cityjet and VLM - Summer 2015 |
|

File Description:
This is version 2 of the complete Summer 2015 flight plans for Cityjet and VLM.
They have changed so much that a version 2 was necessary. I have based version 2 of
the flight plans on the week 1-7 June 2015.
Air France has sold Cityjet which continues to operate a number of flights on behalf
of its former parent. I have separated out all flights that operate with AFR callsign
which is not completely what happens in real life, but at least you'll get the right
callsigns.
Meanwhile, VLM has been demerged from Cityjet and has begun operating an increasing
number of scheduled and charter flights under its own callsign. VLM no longer operates
for Aurigny, and its production for Cityjet is down to three aircraft.
Cityjet and VLM use alphanumeric callsigns which we are not able to reproduce in
Flight Simulator, so I have used the commercial flight numbers throughout.

This update to the previously published WMKK fixes:
1. Jetways density changed from "Extremely Dense" to "Normal".
2. Removed the Sky Bridge at KLIA2 as the objects used resulted in a serious FPS hit.
WMKK - GPS-accurate KLIA2 Extension to the previous WMKK AFCAD published last year. The new KLIA2 terminal is home for the low-cost carriers AirAsia and Malindo Air of Malaysia. Official opening was on the 9th of May 2014. WHAT'S NEW: KLIA2 low-cost carrier terminal, all buildings, new aprons, parking bays, vehicle roads, taxiways and runway 33/15 with ILS approaches built from scratch, using the latest version of ADE (v1.61 Pro) for FSX. All 3 runways operational (33/15, 32L/14R, 32R/14L). The airport's parking positions, runway and taxiways aligned/realigned with the google coordinates using the references from the map application available at ptsim.com Added apron lights and Sky Bridge to the KLIA2 terminal. | FSX Engine and Flight Instrument Failure Generator |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The FSX Engine and Flight Instrument Failure Generator program allows the user to simulate the loss of one randomly selected engine (out of 4 max) and up to five flight instruments: Airspeed Indicator (ASI), Attitude Indicator (AI), Altimeter (ALT), Vertical Velocity Indicator (VVI) and Directional Gyro (DG).
The program works with most FSX default aircraft and to varying degrees with payware aircraft depending on how much the payware aircraft adheres to the FSX of doing things. Failures are based on failure probabilities, ranging from 0 to 100%, assigned by the user to the engine(s) and each of the flight instruments. Failures occur at random times within a specified time period called the Failure Window which the user can specify to be from 1 to 240 minutes. The FSX Engine and Flight Instrument Failure Generator is a Lua program and requires a registered version of FSUIPC4. Operation and Installation manual included.

| Spirit of Tuskegee PT-13 Stearman (N36360) |

File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-13 N36360, "Spirit of Tuskegee", owned/operated by Matt Quy up until 2011. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 42-17724 and in 1944 and 1945 it was based at Moton Field, Tuskegee, Alabama, where it was used to train the famed Tuskegee Airmen pilots. Matt Quy purchased the aircraft as a wreck and while restoring it back to flight discovered its connection to the Tuskegee Airmen while researching its history/WWII-assignments. With the restoration complete and painted as a tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen, Matt Quy spent a few years touring the country with the aircraft, helping to spread the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and providing rides to the original wartime pilots. In 2011, upon request by the Smithsonian, Matt Quy donated the aircraft for display at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

File Description:
A custom made Marble Hall Airfield (FAMI), Limpopo, South Africa with photoreal textures and photoreal ground.
The small airfield has been recreated with custom true to life models and photoreal textures. Some of the buildings on the approach to rwy 22 (and even the road-signs) have been modelled with custom true to life models with photoreal textures and the marble works next to the airfield is also included with custom models and custom textures. The airfield is mostly used by cropdusters and as an added bonus, two static cropdusters are included with the kind permission of their respective developers (a Piper PA-25 Pawnee by Andy Strukowsi and a Turbo Thrush by Marcel du Plessis). Both planes are flyable aircraft (see download details in Readme file) which were converted to static aircraft models by myself.
The paved runway is aligned 04/22 and 1 000m long and sits at an elevation of 3 000ft.

| Douglas C-47 (118527) USAAF "Jiminy Cricket" |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
This folder contains two repaints for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 #5, S/N 41-18527. This was one of the first from the 316th Sq.
ATC, to visit Project 19 (a aircraft repair facility in East Africa, operated by Douglas), delivering worn out parts and returning rebuilt engines to the RAF. It eventually took part in the invasion of Sicily, where, the pilot, Lt. George Quisenberry received wounds from German FLAK. The shell destroyed the nose of the Aircraft, knocking out all instruments except the stand by compass. Jiminy carried the crew back with nothing but the moon and the sticking standby compass. It was later used for experimental night camouflage, and this paintscheme is included as well as JK_Cricket. Jiminy Cricket continued to serve till May 1, 1947, when it was salvaged. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.
