Super VC10 Panel upgrade Part 8.2

File Description:
This is an important additional update for David Maltby's Super VC10 model regarding the engines, also requiring download of the previous updates 1 to 8 and 8.1. This update overcomes the bug that Microsoft introduced (left behind) in FS9 with regard to engine ignition (but corrected in FSX). In FS9 engine ignition is hard coded to 22%n2. Not all engines can be modelled in that way so in effect the ignition sequence has to be made to run "outside" the sim. Niot a new concept by any means but it does make the coding much more complex as lots of other factors have to be taken into account. In reality the RR Conway engines light-up at 11-12%n2 with the ignition being held on until about 24%n2. This has now been correctly modelled. The hot start procedure has also been re-modelled to fit the new code. In the process of coding i noticed that one of the engines tends to run a bit on the hot side so keep a watchfull eye.

1909 Curtiss Reims Racer

File Description:
In 1909, the first international air race was held at or near Reims (Rheims), France. The La Grande Semaine d'Aviation air race meet gave American Glenn Curtiss his first air race win when he won top honors during the 7 day event (August 22-29, 1909). This is a precise model of Curtiss' winning aircraft and though it was originally designed for FS2002, testing by AVSIM's Bear shows it to work great in COF. The original 2D panel was alias to the FS2002 Sopwith Camel, but Bear has re-alias'd the panel cfg file to the COF Wright Flyer. Excellent sounds and virtual cockpit.

Libyan Air Force Tupolev Tu-22K Blinder, circa 1980s

File Description:
Libyan Air Force Tupolev Tu-22K Blinder, circa 1980s; utilizing Kazunori Ito's Tu-22 package, available on Flightsim.com. Four of these aircraft were lost in action during conflicts in Chad; at least one of their East German crews were recovered and returned home for burial. This medium-size supersonic bomber has not always been popular with its crews (over 70 lost to training accidents out of around 340 built); but it nevertheless has been a mainstay in Russian and other air forces for about thirty years. This model is very flyable, and good for AI traffic as well. Model and base textures by Kazunori Ito.

BUAF ATL.98 Carvair (55 pax version)

File Description:
These textures represent British United Air Ferries' Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair #7 G-ASDC 'Pont du Rhin' (featured in the 007 film 'Goldfinger'), Carvair #9 G-ASHZ 'Maasbrug' and Carvair #13 G-ASKN 'Pont d'Avignon'. These Carvairs, together with G-ATRV, were configurated to carry either 5 cars and 22 passengers or 2 cars and 55 passengers. The textures are based on Jon Walton's original textures for BUAF's G-ARSD. Apart from different registrations, the window arrangement has been altered. These are textures only. You will require Jon Walton's freeware Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair (jwat98.zip or jwat98_2k2.zip). Textures by Jon Walton, revisions by Maarten Brouwer.

Prosperity Virtual Airlines Airbus A320

File Description:
Prosperity Virtual Airlines is proud to present the Airbus A320 from IFDG. The aircraft model includes most of the standard features including animated control surfaces, wingviews, flaps, full lighting configuration, and highly detailed, reflective textures. "The A320 was launched on March 2, 1984. It is the first subsonic commercial aircraft with fly-by-wire controls. First flight took place on February 22, 1987. The A320-100 was the initial version and was superseded by the A320-200 from the third quarter of 1988. The A320-200 differs from the A320-100 in having wingtip fences, a wing center-section fuel tank, and a higher MTOW".

P-51D Mustang "Petie 2nd" NL5427V

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft, 44-72942, is a WWII vet, and flew with the 12th AF. After the war the aircraft served with various ANG units before being sold surplus in 1957. The aircraft was restored in the early 80's and painted in the markings of Lt. Col. John Meyer's 352nd FG mount, "Petie 2nd." In 1985 the aircraft was purchased by Anthony Buechler of Wisconsin, and has been with him ever since, loging more than 2000 hours of flying time in the now 22 years he has owned the aircraft. It has never been raced and never been wrecked.

Air Nostrum Iberian Bombardier CRJ-900

File Description:
Repaint of the PAI CRJ-900. YOU MUST GET THE AIRCRAFT FILES FROM PROJECT AI. Four High quality repaints of the CRJ-900 Aircraft used by Air Nostrum the Regional Carrier for Iberian Airlines of Spain. Air Nostrum uses the same basic paint scheme on all of their aircraft with slight deviations, all 4 variants are used here. I have also created new AI Traffic Files for Air Nostrum based on their weekly schedule of July 22, 2007 (jhmanesu07.zip). I used DXT3 formatted files to maximize frames rates. I also have 32bit texture files that I will upload if I recieve requests for them. Repaints by Jim Martin.
