Pemberton CYPS in British Columbia Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Pemberton is a small village in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, with a permanent population of under 3,000 and reliant on logging and increasing tourism. It is around 40 miles north of Squamish and 15 miles north of Whistler and the flight north is best described as scenic. The Nairn Falls, a scenic attraction for tourists, are close by. The runway is 3,920 feet of asphalt aligned 06-24, between and close to the join of the Lillooet River and the Green River. The airfield buildings are to the north of the runway, and at the eastern end is a Fire Base for the expected summer forest fires. To the south and west is the Pemberton Golf Course. All the buildings are replicated, and once again this is not an airport, it is an airfield without any lighting and typical of my future posts which are updated versions of airfield scenery made some time ago and not posted. This one is probably more intricate than most that will follow. The lack of lighting is actually very sensible as landing in the mountains in the dark..... Gun Lake is included here, but not for regular use as it is a deserted dirt strip 40 miles to the north that was once used for fire fighting and there is nothing to see. Just a part of the scenery in this area of BC. If you want to follow this trip on Google Earth the next stop is Cache Creek. If you find a defect, email me. Do not email me about the strange doors to the front of the Blackcomb hangar. I was surprised when I saw it and then discovered that the "doors" are actually flexible curtains that are rolled up and down and if rolled down too far... I have the ok to use the Bell 212 CCG helicopter as a scenery object, but not to post the entire object library of the Red Deer CYQF scenery; if you have the scenery it should show up here.

Koyukuk KYU in Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Koyukuk is a small village on the northern bank of the Yukon River, around 5 miles east of where the river turns from north-south to east-west, east being upstream towards the distant Fairbanks. The mouth of the Koyukuk River that joins the Yukon is just to the east of the village. The population is now under 100 and living from fishing and the land. During the late 1800's the local population lived off the land and also by the spin off from gold mining in the same way as the nearby Nulato, but when in the early 1900's gold mining activities moved to Nome and Fairbanks local prosperity plunged. In fact, the village only became a permanently inhabited establishment in 1939, when a school was built. The airfield is close by and has a gravel runway aligned 6-24 and 4,000 feet long with PAPI on the approach to 6. There is also a shorter and parallel grass runway that is only used in the winter snows by light planes that are on skis and without wheels. Apart from the airfield itself, and it's buildings, this scenery modifies the local land class, adds village buildings while reducing the village size to reality, and creates a new airfield background. Koyukuk is served by Wright Air from Fairbanks in the east and this is included in the AI provided with the post of Nulato. A note here about my scenery making. This is post number 509 and there will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes. There is a limit to what can be located online and I have already been making use of the little there is; eg Unalakleet. So, if you are near an airport (preferably Canadian or Alaskan) and have a camera..... Let me know.

Reality XP 737-500 ADI True Display XP Unlocked Demo Download

File Description:
Not to be redistributed in any form without prior approval from Reality XP Reality XP 737 ADI in True Display XP Demo Important information This is the readme for the fully unlocked version 1.1 Dear Flight Simulator Enthusiast, we thank you for flying with Flight Line Avionics, and are pleased to offer an example of our unique technology: True Display XP. As you might have been aware off, we are currently designing the overall systems and avionics of the upcoming Flight1’s Piper Meridian. This extraordinary aircraft features an advanced cockpit panel, with Glass Cockpit Meggitt Avionics EADI, EHSI and EDU, coupled with a state of the art S-TEC Autopilot System and a full featured Garmin Radio Stack and Navigation System. Rest assured that our rendition of the Meridian avionics far above the standards of the Flight Line Avionics depth and accuracy, and even more! To let you prefigure what our unique technology brings to the overall simulated experience, we have especially designed this 737 ADI Demo to showcase a small fraction of the overall design techniques and tools we have built: True Display XP. True Display XP is meant to provide enough visual cues and precision, while not sacrificing the accuracy at any resolution. This is achieved with both a high refresh rate and a highly sophisticated rendering engine, while virtually having no impact to the FS2002 Frame Rate. With this technology in any aircraft product, you’ll be able to precisely hand fly any ILS approach to a level of precision you’ve never been used to with any other FS2002 add-on. Seeing is believing! Unlike the other “vector gauges”, our unique technology not only resembles and feels like a real CRT/LCD, but is more elaborate than an Anti Aliasing Line Drawing system. This prevent any “jitter” in effectively rendering all the display at a sub pixel resolution. We are glad to let you share our excitement for the Flight1’s Meridian with this demo which showcases our unique technology. We thank you for your fidelity to Reality XP. Best Regards, Reality XP www.reality-xp.com

Korean Air 1998 AI Package Download

File Description:
Korean Air was one of only 2 airlines doing domestic Korean flights in 1998, with Korean Air having a much larger market share than Asiana and extensively flying the A300s on many domestic routes. By 1998, Korean Air had converted(to a freighter) or retired most of the 747-200s, 747-300s, MD-11s and A300B4s, but they were still in the fleet in very small numbers. The A330-300 and 777-200 were also starting to join the fleet very slowly with a few examples of each. The MD-80s and Fokker 100s were being used in decent numbers on both domestic flights and flights to Japan and China. The 747SPs were active but only picked up flying as spare airplanes, so they mostly sit in GMP but during the week do GMP-SFO-DEN, GMP-NRT-LAX-GMP, and GMP-HKG flights taken from 747-400s. As is the case with some of these plans, to upkeep 100% of the OAG flight schedule using the limitations of AI in flight simulator, there are a few extra planes(4x MD-80 and 1x Fokker 100) in these plans with fake registration numbers. The user may decided if they'd rather see all real life flights or the real amount of aircraft. Ranmori has painted a 727-200 as a bonus, and I gave these extra 4 MD-80s registration numbers from 727s and segregated them from the flightplans in case you wish to use the 727, but in real life it was retired in late 1996. Note that these plans and all 1998 plans use the Seoul-Gimpo airport(GMP/RKSS) as Incheon(ICN/RKSI) did not open until 2001. Textures by Ranmori Scythe for the AIA MD-80, Fokker 100, FAIB 747-200, 747-300, 747-400, 747SP FSPX 777-200, A330-300, MD-11, TFS A300B4 and A300-600R along with the AIA 727-200 bonus included. Louisiana State Police Texture Updates Bell/Textron 430 Download

File Description:
FS2004 Bell/Textron 430 Helicopter Louisiana State Police Updates This package contains 2 revised texture sets for: N810SP & N918SP which are based here in Baton Rouge. These fixes add the gold stripe on the tail and reflect the readjusted bottom gold cheat stripe and a few more small tweaks that make the textures more accurate. There is a well known member of the FS Community that is also painting up more LSP Bell430s.I believe that his will feature 430s from LSP Troop I,B and C. Giving you all more N#'s to fly based on your preference of which Troop you want to fly for.So keep an eye out for more LSP Bell 430s in the near future!! As always....Enjoy!! **P.S.*** I am finishing up on a custom scenery to compliment these repaints. The scenery will feature a large photoreal terrain area of the Independence Park area here in Baton Rouge wich houses on its grounds the following: Louisiana State Police Headquarters,Louisiana Statepolice Training acadamy, various State Gov't offices such as Dept. of Motor Vehicles,Louisiana State Office of Emergency Managment,State fire Marshals Offices,e.t.c..... The main Helipad is set up as a runway..rwys 9-27 which feature their own ILS systems with outermarkers,an NDB,Fictioal Airport Designation of 1LSP.Trees,Military Landing Zones, resturants, minmalls, gas stations along the perimeter, the main Fire House/Fire Station for that area.the Main branch of the Public Library and the big school bus transfer area on the west side.Street lights along the roadways, and much more. With minimal impact of FPS. This will be a great add-on tool for the real LSP and AIr Med pilots who fly into this place everyday. Now you guys/gals can practice approaches in inclement weather conditions without fear of ruining a 5 million dollar chopper, all the while honing your IMC skills. This scenery will integrate seemlessly with the upcoming release of KBTR v2. The screenshots in this archive are from KBTRv2 Beta and the 1LSP beta sceneries!! Keep an eye out at the BSMP forum for updates and preview screenshots... www.bsmp.co.nz

Albany International Airport (KALB) Albany, New York Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This airport was made using Airport Design Editor, Google Sketchup, and Instant Scenery 2. Albany International Airport, Is an airport located near Albany, New York. The airport has scheduled airline flights. Almost all of the buildings are custom made with photo textures to make it closer to real life. At the main terminal, I added more gates and put moving jetways. The gates have assigned parking codes. There is a parking lot next to the terminal full of cars. I put the airport access road in between the parking lot and the terminal. At the southwest ramp, I put hangars and some you can taxi inside of. If you choose to start off from the southwest DOCK gate, You will start off inside the Million Air Aviation FBO. I also put static aircraft on the ramp too. To the northwest, I put the New York Police hangar. You can start off inside this hangar by choosing the Northwest DOCK gate. Taxiing into or starting off inside a hangar will not cause a crash unless you touch the sides. To the Northeast, I put the cargo terminal with trucks. At the cargo section, I put three FedEx Cessna Caravans. I also put the control tower and the buildings. Tower views are from the roof of the control tower. To the southeast, I put small hangars and the Air National Guard Section with UH-60 helicopters. I extended runway 1/19 to the correct length of 8,500 feet. I also put red, blue, green, and purple Cessna 172s in different places around the airport. There will be more objects if your scenery complexity is set to normal (such as jetways, aircraft, and vehicles). This was all made based on Google Earth Imagery and Bing Maps. There are no night textures for the buildings. This will be added in a future version. An installer program is included to install the airport for you. There will be more versions of this that include night textures and static business jets. This is for Flight Simulator X only. By Tyler Lawrence.

Merrill Field PAMR Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a version for FSX of the Merrill Field made by Roger Wensley (me) for FS9, converted by John B Loney jnr. "PAMR read this first" explains this but I have modified John's original procedure, and instead of first installing the Merrill Field original plus two updates I have included here the current FS9 version as installed on my computer. Note that to see the apron lighting working in FS9 it was necessary to have Sidney Schwartz's light library installed, along with his updated textures (to avoid severe blurries caused by a faulty texture). The original installation instructions are included giving file library priorities etc. Just ignore the bits that do not apply, such as installing AI that is not included. I have of course omitted the original AI as this is replaced by John's version. I have no comment to make on installing in FSX as I have not done so, and I have not tested it in FSX. If you have comments or questions I will respond as much as I am able. Merrill Field is in Anchorage Alaska, between Anchorage International to the southwest and and Elmendorf Air Force Base to the north. It caters for general aviation and is the land equivalent of the Lake Hood float plane base, with fuel and numerous maintenance facilities, and several hundred parking spots for small planes. There are three runways, and the longest is 4,000 feet of 100 feet wide asphalt, the second 2,635 feet of asphalt 75 feet wide, and the third 2,000 feet of 60 feet wide gravel. The first two have runway lights. It is a controlled airfield with a relatively new control tower to cater for the numerous flights and to coordinate with Elmensdorf and Anchorage International, the latter also controlling flights from Lake Hood and the adjacent gravel strip Z41. (See my Lake Hood scenery). The gravel runway at Merrill Field is not connected with active taxiways to the rest of the airfield; this avoids you being ordered to land on it when flying a plane too large to do so.

Cordova Smith PACV & Municipal CKU in Alaska US Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Cordova is on the south coast of Alaska, around 150 miles east of Anchorage and 45 miles south of Valdez. The town is mainly built on a small but relatively flat area between the east side of Prince William Sound and Eyak Lake, and has a population of around 2,350 in 2010, the approximate date of this scenery. The Municipal Airfield CKU is on the north side of Eyak Lake to the east of Cordova, with the runway that is 1,800 feet of unlit gravel squeezed between the lake and the road that runs around the lake. The hangars and parking aprons are reached by taxiing across, and to some extent along, the road. Float planes are also taken from the lake to an apron to the west of the runway. Cordova Airport PACV (named in the real world "Merle K. (Mudhole) Smith", and I will leave you to research this) is known as Cordova Smith in FS9 and is 10 miles to the east of the town on relatively flat ground between mountains to the north and the sea to the south. The runway is 8,080 feet of lit asphalt aligned 09-27 with ILS on runway 27 and VASI on both ends. The aprons are to the north side of the runway and are reached by back-taxiing; there are no taxiways parallel to the runway. The main apron serves Alaska Air via the western of two taxiways. The GA parking and hangars are mainly reached by using the eastern taxiway, though there is in fact a connecting taxiway between the two (for GA, but definitely not for airliner use). The taxiway further to the west serves the separated Alaska Coastguard apron and hangar, which is mainly for helicopter use. There is a nominally grass runway 1,900 feet long and aligned 16-34 to the south of the main runway; in fact it appears to be more gravel than grass. I have left this inactive as otherwise AI Alaska Air planes would be attempting to use this when the wind made it seem like a good idea. The AI includes Alaska Air (twice a day) and also Coastguard helicopters, along with GA.

B-2A Spirit Stealth Bomber Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The B-2A Stealth Bomber is the most sophisticated aircraft on the planet. She is essentially a “Flying Wing” platform with no V-Tail, and is controlled by pre-programed flight computers stationed in various positions within the crew cabin and wings. There is one main computer that controls the aircraft, with two redundant back-up computers assigned to it in case of failure. All additional computers are assigned to functions involving flight control, system monitoring, data communications, and radar. Engine and Aerodynamic effects are controlled by these computers which serve several actuators and ailerons, including the spoilerons, which further compensate for the lack of a V-Tail. In theory, and because of these computers, the aircraft is “Stall-Proof”. The only way it can stall is if the computers fail. There is no way she can be flown without the computers active. The REAL aircraft does almost everything based on pre-programed data, other than taxi to the runway (although this is also possible to program). Before each flight, the Mission is designed and then assigned to the Mission Flight Box (Portable Computer) which is then carried by the Commander to the aircraft, and the data from the box is “transferred” to the main on-board computers. Because of this, the B-2 cannot be flown until the box is ready for the mission, and pilots cannot simply jump in and fly her, with the exception that the data is transferred via satellite. Everything is pre-planned, and this takes several hours. Once the data is on-board, the taxi can begin. When lined-up on the runway, all the pilot needs to do is push a button or three. Everything else is computer controlled until landing. The aircraft CAN be flown manually with basic data inputs into the main computer systems, but even in that case it is not conventional. If a pilot wants to turn right, he sets the data to turn to a certain degrees of heading. The same with climb and descent, speed increase or decrease. A pilot cannot over-ride the computers in any case, so steep banks, climbs, or descents cannot be forced. There is a lot of space for the two member crew within the cockpit, but there is also a space reserved for one observer. This additional seat is known as “Suicide Position” because there is no ejection seat for that observer. In the event of a mishap, the observer can try to bail-out through the ejection hatches after the pilots, or can try the exit ramp door, or the bomb bay as an exit route. The odds of escape for the observer are very small, but he has a parachute as reassurance. Otherwise, what the crew does during missions is only a guess, since they really don't have to do anything unless an alarm goes off. Since the plane flies so smooth, we can only imagine what sort of things they may dream-up to entertain themselves during a long flight. High altitude flights are conducted at night mainly due to the obvious contrail such a flight will exhibit during the day with such hot engines. The engines are encased in a heat absorbing shield material (still exhaust exists), and the rest of the plane is coated with Radar absorbant material, with the additional low profile effect of the aircraft design itself. If it can be seen by the ground or a fighter, it can be attacked by fighters or the ground. During daytime flight they will stay below the contrail level, and monitor the radar systems in preparations for counter-measures. If a fighter can visually observe them, the fighter may be able to shoot them down with bullets from behind, but not likely with missiles because of the sophisticated counter-measures available. On Radar the aircraft appears the size of a pigeon, until about 8 to 10 miles away, which would be too late to counter from the ground, so most attacks are either done at night or during the day at very low altitude. Upon landing the aircraft is automated down to about 200 feet AGL, when the pilot takes command. All she/he does at this point is allow her to glide down and contact the runway, and retard the engines. Brakes are used to slow, then the computers are turned off, and the pilot can control the throttles, nose gear, and brakes. The Commander watches for obstructions, mainly, and communicates with the tower and ground crew. Everything in this model has been reconfigured to meet realistic standards, without any tricks or flight tuning, and following real world aerodynamic principals and available data, including MOI. The panel requires study before use, but very realistic. The sounds are very authentic. There is no other model offered anywhere that compares to what you have now available in front of you. Please read and study the Readme.txt file within the main folder before attempting to fly this 2.2 Billion Dollar aircraft. Yes, that's correct ... $2,200,000,000 each! The use of this model, and the configuration of such, is designed for educational purposes, and protected by the Free Use Act: (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/17/107). Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress #43-97976 "A Bit o' Lace" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the accu-sim version of the A2A B-17G Flying Fortress. It represents #42-97976 "A Bit o' Lace", which was assigned to the 709th BS /447th BG. The nose art consisted of a cartoon by Milton Caniff. The co-pilot was Lt. John Bauman, a fraternity brother of Milton Caniff. He sent Caniff a detailed idea of the proposed artwork and the sketch was returned with Caniff's annotation: "A Bit-O-Lace for Lt. John H. Bauman, and the rest of the gang, with my best wishes - Milton Caniff NY, Oct. 1944". Nicholas Fingelly, an artist attached to the 709th BS, carried out the work and completed the painting in about six hours and gave Milton Caniff full credit for his his character. Her first crew flew 35 missions over Europe with no injuries, although returning with a good many holes, at times. The closest call was when a piece of shrapnel came up through Navigator's table and "Ike" Eisenhart's arms, but missed him. A surprise souvenir for Ike, which he still has. She flew more missions with different crews, until the april 4, 1945 flight. From the navigator, John Kirkwood: "Right over Kiel, and seconds before the bomb release, I heard the co-pilot say that "This airplane feels funny." Seconds later the tail gunner, who had regained his power of speech, blurted out something to the effect that part of "The tail was gone." A flak shell had gone right through the left horizontal tail, leaving only a partial surface, and completely removing the left elevator. We dropped out of the formation, and tried to drop the bombs, but the electrical system failed. We flew north a minute or so, the plane now in the hands of the pilot. The pilot did not want to drop over Denmark, so we turned out over sea, and dropped via screwdriver. Actually, we were over Schleswig-Holstein, according to my position, but it was close, and Tom did not want to chance killing danes. We flew on, at a reduced speed, far out to sea on a west-south-west course with occasional ETA's to the pilot. Several fighters joined us, and finally we got back to the base, and the runway was cleared for us. A decision had to be made by the pilot: To jump or ride her in.. Tom decided that he could land the plane, so we all congregated to the radio room, and that was that. I might add that none of us had any desire to jump. Most of the photos of 976 were taken after repairs, hence the dark colored rudder and left elevator. As you know, the color prior to the damage was silver. 976 flew one or two missions after that, but I never saw her again, other than in a color photo of the moth-balled fleet in Arizona." Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by A2A.
