| Iles de la Madeleine CYGR in Quebec Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The Iles de la Madeleine are a group of spit islands linked by bridges in the Gulf of St Lawrence. They are east of New Brunswick, north of Cape Breton Island, west of the Island of Newfoundland, and south of the mainland coast of Quebec. On a southwest to northeast axis they are 40 miles in length and the airport CYGR is pretty much at the midpoint of the southern line of islands. Take a look at the overhead from FS9 to see what I mean. CYGR has two runways, one is aligned 08-26 and is just under 4,400 feet long and 150 feet wide with lighting and PAPI at both ends. The second is aligned 16-34 and is 3,600 feet long and 150 feet wide, without lights or PAPI. Both are asphalt. The apron is not huge, and a newish (in 2010) hangar was built with separate access to the 16-34 runway. There are daily flights by Air Canada and Pascan Aviation included in the AI. The AI also includes some boats and a ferry, and I first used these with my Dutch Harbor scenery, so if you have that already.... This scenery also includes Cindy Hook, a small boat harbour just 2 miles southwest of the airport, and the larger harbour at Cap aux Meules a further 3 miles away that accommodates the daily ferry trips, along with fishing boats etc. Also included here is a further addition to the Homer PAHO scenery in the shape of a boat that is included in the Homer Spit harbour. Just add the contents of the scenery folder to the Homer scenery folder of your Homer installation, and the texture folder contents to the Homer texture folder. This is hopefully the last PAHO addition, and again apologies. If you find an error email me please, and note that my email address has been changed to rogwens at Gmail dot com.

| Toronto Downtown Airport CYTZ, Ontario Canada, for Toronto2 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
CYTZ is on an island in Lake Ontario and immediately adjacent to downtown Toronto, and this is the version for use with Flight Ontario's Toronto2 scenery for the Greater Toronto Area. There have been major changes after Porter Airlines purchase of the airport. The obvious and main new item is the terminal, made with photo textures, and with ten gates sized to meet the requirements of the Dash 8-400 they currently use. The terminal has a passenger entrance and a vehicle setdown point as part of the link to the ferry terminal that wraps around the west side of the original and preserved terminal building. The ferry terminal is included here, along with a ferry. Also new are the car parking, road routing, gate and taxi markings, taxiways, taxiway signage, taxiway lighting, runway lighting, aprons, apron lighting (from Sid, and you will need to install his "lights_ss_v2"), fences, fuel tanks, tanker trucks, access roads to navigation equipment, ai parking, static parked planes, parked cars, apron equipment, and the useable floatplane ramp. The AI includes Porter, Jazz, several GA aircraft, and a helicopter; only 3 of these require downloads. The Lake Ontario AI includes three large ships, typical of the traffic to be seen on all the Great Lakes. CYTZ has three runways and there is an airport diagram included. 08-26 has ILS and is the only runway long enough for Porter to use; FS9 atc will ignore this. There is fuel available and it is dispensed from a truck. The longer projection from the front of the terminal building is a covered ramp that leads up from the terminal basement level, used by towed luggage trolleys. The gates are not powered in any way except for the weather cover that protects passengers as they cross the small area of asphalt between plane and gate. I did not try to reproduce this in FS9.

| FSX/P3D ANA - All Nippon Airways 747SR-81 1980 |

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 747SR-81 (Short Range) in ANA - All Nippon Airways classic 1980 "Mohican" colors. The freeware 747-200 by Project Open Sky - POSKY is needed for this repaint. All Nippon Airways Company, Ltd.
(ANA) was formed on March 1, 1958 through the merger of two small companies. The Japanese government granted the carrier full certification to operate over domestic trunk routes on April 1, 1959, and by the mid 60s it was Japan's biggest domestic airline with a comprehensive network. During this time through to the 1970s, ANA expanded its fleet size greatly. ANA ordered its first jetliner, the 727-181, in 1964 and by 1978 they had a vast fleet of jetliners at their disposal, including the queen of the skies, the 747. ANA operated its first international flight, a charter flight, on July 15 and 31 1970, with YS-11s to Pusan, South Korea. However, a fully scheduled international flight was still in the distant future. In 1978 ANA held the position as the world’s sixth largest airline. Not bad for a domestic carrier. The carrier’s longest domestic route, the 2,051-km Sendai–Okinawa segment was opened in 1980. Interestingly, First-Class service was introduced on Japanese domestic flights as late as July 1985. In December 1985, the Japanese government opened international operations to all of the country’s airlines by revising its air transport policy and deregulating the industry. This included domestic carriers. ANA's desire for international routes became a reality and joined the fray It flew its first fully international scheduled route with a four times a week service to Guam, on March 3 1986. Today it has a vast network of international flights, and they are easily Japan's biggest carrier with 233 aircraft. They were also the launch customer of the 787. ANA has been going from strength to strength ever since its inception. For them, the sky's the limit. It might work on FS2004 as well. Textures are 32bit bmp.

| Mielec EPML 2009 |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is third version of EPML airport scenery. Main features of the scenery are: Airport ground high resolution textures - (four seasons + night textures); Highly detailed 3D objects, all photo textured; Detailed autogen and photorealistic trees. For more details please look at the README file attached to the scenery file.
EPML is home base of PZL-Mielec (Polskie Zaklady Lotnicze - Polish Aviation Works), formerly WSK-Mielec and WSK "PZL-Mielec" is the Polish aerospace manufacturer, based inMielec. It has been the biggest Polish post-war aerospace manufacturer. In 2007 it was acquired by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, retaining the brand.Starting from 1950, the factory developed much and became the biggest Polish aircraft producer. It was a licensed producer of the Soviet jet fighters MiG-15 (produced as Lim-1), MiG-15bis (Lim-2), MiG-17 (Lim-5) and its Polish attack variant, Lim-6. The first Lim-1s were manufactured of Soviet parts in 1952, a full-scale production started in 1953. About 1500 Lims were built by 1964. In 1957-1960 there were also produced 250 Polish-designed piston trainers TS-8 Bies. From 1963 there was produced Polish-designed jet trainer TS-11 Iskra, being a basic trainer in the Polish military aviation. Its successor, designed with a part of PZL-Mielec, the PZL I-22 Iryda, appeared however a failure for different reasons, mostly lack of proper funding, and only a small series was built.
The most numerous plane built in Mielec was the licensed Soviet Antonov An-2 utility biplane, produced from 1960 in different variants. Over 13,000 of these aircraft were manufactured by 1991, mostly on the Soviet order, but also used in Poland and exported to other countries. From 1984 PZL-Mielec manufactured Soviet STOL transport planes Antonov An-28, as its only producer in the world. The plane was subsequently developed in Mielec and in a modernized variant PZL M-28 Skytruck/Bryza is offered for the Polish Army, Polish Navy and services abroad, with some success.

| Alaska South Slope 7; Kobuk OBU & Dahl Creek DCK |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
There are four main northwestern Alaska towns which are serviced by Alaska Airlines, and from which local flights spread out. The northernmost is Barrow. Southwest of Barrow is Kotzebue, then Nome, and the furthest south is Bethel (not yet made). This is a continuation of the series for the flights from Kotzebue, 170 miles to the east where Kobuk is on the bank of the Kobuk River, and Dahl Creek is 2 miles to the north. Kobuk is a small village on the Kobuk River, like Ambler and Shungnak, but with a population of only around 150. The river is the reason for the existance of the villages as it served (and still does) as both a source of food and a transport route. The airfield is just beside the village, with a runway around 4,500 feet of lit gravel and aligned 09-27, with PAPI on both ends. There are scheduled flights by Era (now renamed Ravn) and by Bering Air, both of them originating in Kotzebue and routing east to Ambler, Shungnak, Kobuk, and then back again. The AI includes these flights along with Everts Air and GA. The FS9 airfield has been relocated by approximately a mile to the correct position, and the elevation accordingly adjusted. The Dahl Creek strip is publicly owned, with no maintenance and a deteriorating gravel runway that has not long to survive. This probably does not work properly without Ultimate Terrain Alaska Canada as the village is now on the river bank. I am presuming that you have downloaded and installed Nome PAOM, along with the instructions on how to adjust Ultimate Terrain Alaska Canada to get the most realistic results. If you are not making the UT adjustments then you may be seeing duplicated roads, as I am including new local dirt or gravel roads to connect village to airfield etc to get the best overall result; I will not be making alternate versions.

| Edson CYET in Alberta, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Edson is 120 miles west of Edmonton in Alberta, on Highway 16. It was originally named Heatherwood, but that was changed to honour the vice president of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway when it was made the local railway centre. It thrived, and when Highway 16 was upgraded it thrived even more. Coal mining and industry connected with timber are the main employers of a population of around 8,500. The airport is at the western edge of the town at 3,041 feet asl, with a single lit runway 6,000 feet long and 100 feet wide aligned 07-25, with displaced thresholds and VASI at each end. The two joined aprons are at the eastern end of the airfield, with fire fighting chemical tanks beside the western one which is reserved in the summer months for the Lockheed Electra Air Spray planes; these are included in the AI. The eastern apron is for visiting charters and GA planes, next to a small terminal building. There is further parking on the grass for resident planes next to a large gravel car parking area and clubhouse. As the Air Spray planes would not be fighting fires in the winter there are in fact two editions of the AI, one for the summer fire fighting season and the other for the winter freeze. Use whichever one is appropriate for your flight time; I never strayed far from Ottawa in the winter so for me it is the summer one only. While making this I came across something new in the shape of some incorrectly installed edge lights in the stock fs9 version that refused to be deleted. There is still an "Edson TOP" folder which would normally be used to delete all unwanted taxiway edge lights, but in this case it deletes only some of them. Apologies, but there is nothing more that I can do and so I suggest you use this in daylight only.

| PAKN - King Salmon - Alaska, US V1 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is the final version, complete in itself and incorporating the two modifications posted separately. King Salmon is a town with a population of just under 400, on the north bank of the Naknek River and 15 miles from the sea. The airport is adjacent to the town and was originally an airforce base; the military hangars on the airport are still usable. The airport, with its long runway (11-29 and 8,500 feet with an ILS, and a second runway 18-36 and 4,000 feet) is a transportation hub for the area in general and in particular for the salmon industry. Along the Naknek River there are numerous canneries and there are also fishing lodges on the river and nearby lakes; to speed up transportation to the lodges there are float bases on the river to the south of the airport. King Salmon has three tiers of scheduled flights: Alaska Air direct from Anchorage in a 737 (passengers and cargo), PenAir (Saab turboprop) as part of their flights up and down the peninsula, and Grant Air serving nearby small towns. There are also PenAir flights, both scheduled and unscheduled, in smaller aircraft (Piper Navajo for instance) to smaller airports for the fishing season, plus cargo flights in larger aircraft by the lowest bidder (Everts and Northern). To complete the mix the AI includes a pair of F15s. The runways cross (see the airport diagram) so read the notes re long taxi routes. There is AI for PAKN, plus revised AI made for Dutch Harbor which includes flights by PenAir to King Salmon, plus revised parking for Dutch Harbor with new replacement bgls to cater for more flights. There is also AI for the float bases on the river; I have made two runways separated into two float bases for river AI, called King Salmon Floats and King Salmon River; more AI for these will be added when other scenery along the river is made. Just land according to the wind and taxi to whatever dock takes your fancy.
