Beaver Creek CYXQ in Yukon Territory, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Beaver Creek is located at mile 1202 of the Alaska Highway, just east of the Alaska/Yukon border. The populaton is around 100 and the main employment is with the Border Agency, the White River First Nation, or with local tourist lodges. The airfield is a mile north of the town and close to the Canadian border post, which is included in the scenery. It was built by Jack Stalberg in the 1960's, and I have no further information beyond the fact that he loved to fly. The airport serves as an "airport of entry", though it is restricted in hours of opening and in the size of aircraft that it can handle; up to a maximum of only 15 seats. The single runway is 3,745 feet long and 100 feet wide, gravel, aligned 13-31 in FS9, lit, and with vasi at both ends. Righthand circuits for runway 13. There is a 340 feet threshold displacement to runway 31, which is of course unmarked on a gravel runway. The terminal building was recently reclad; I don't like it, but they didn't consult me. The ai reflects the sort of traffic the airfield gets; ie brief paperwork stopovers for GA or small charter flights into Canada from Alaska, usually in the mornings.I have adjusted the local scenery terrain levels to remove adjacent hills that I believe do not exist in real life but are part of the Northern Canada terrain mesh that I have installed. If you do not have this mesh you may find that the scenery works fine for you without the API flatten that is included here. The airfield is at 2,129 feet ASL.

Galena PAKP in Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Galena is a village on the Yukon River, around 30 miles east of the corner where the westward running river turns south. The population is just under 500 and the city is noted for its educational facilities that attract residential students from across the state. Adjacent to the city is the Galena Air Force Station that previously shared the use of the Edward G. Pitna Snr. airport until 2007, when the station was closed and the air force personnel left. The station facilities have been taken over by the community and the airport became the largest state-maintained airport in the interior of Alaska. Substantial resurfacing and finishing work was then carried out, and the new asphalt runway is now 6,000 feet long and aligned 7-25, with VASI at both ends and ILS on 25. There is a secondary gravel runway beside part of the main asphalt runway, and this is treated in radio announcements as if it is not a separate runway and landing or take off are on the adjacent asphalt. The airport is serviced by ERA (now called Ravn) and Wrights Air, with cargo flights by the eternal Everts. Included here is a small modification for Allakaket, which deletes a single remaining stock FS9 taxiway light. The AI included here also provided Allakaket with a Saturday Everts delivery flight, but I neglected to mention that before. A note here about my scenery making. There will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes, plus I expect to move on from FS9 at some point during next year.

Ridge Soaring 79N Julian PA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Ridge Soaring Gliderport (79N) is a public-use glider airport located two nautical miles (4 km) southwest of the central business district of Unionville, in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is privately owned by Knauff & Grove, Inc. Tom Knauff and Doris grove are among the whos who in American and International soaring community.

Portions of the 1999 movie The Thomas Crown Affair were filmed here. Co-owner Thomas L. Knauff set five FAI world records, and over 50 NAA national records flying from this airport. Co-owner Doris Grove set three FAI feminine world records flying from this airport, and was the first woman to fly a glider more than 1000 km. This FBO airport is world famous for ridge, thermal and wave soaring. It is located on U.S. Route 220 (alternate) 8 miles south of Interstate 80, between Unionville and Julian, at the base of the Bald Eagle Mountain ridge. It is approximately 10 miles from State College and approximately midway between Altoona and Lock Haven in the Bald Eagle Valley. Visitors can look at an entire wall of U.S. National and World records that have been set from this airfield. Sadly as with so many small airports, Ridge Soaring is in risk of disappearing. for sale for many years, with no takers it may be sold to developers and disappear forever.

In FSX the airport was on the wrong side of the highway and cut into a mountain, I moved it to its proper location and heading, made the runway the correct size and heading, and added all the current buildings.

Havana 1962 Scenery Download

File Description:
This scenery includes Havana as it was in 1962 (a mysterious city of much fascination for me) including El Morro Fortress on its rocky outcropping at the entrance to Havana harbor, the largest such fortress in the Caribbean, and its adjacent lighthouse. In downtown Havana you will see the capital building and several old cathedrals. Near the Malicon sea walk by the beach, you will find 3 famous hotels and former casinos, the Flamingo, the Riviera, and the Havana Hilton. The Havana Hilton opened just days before Castro seized power and nationalized it. When he first came to power he occupied the top floor for some time. Havana Airport opened originally as Rancho Los Boyeos Airport, located just southwest from the city in the village of the same name, which was then mostly farms, small ranches, and tiny communities. The original terminal was a very pretty Spanish colonial building, which the dictator Fulgencio Batista had remodeled in a 1950's cubist-tudor style. It was at the time of this remodeling (1957) that the airport's name was changed to Jose Marti International Airport, named after the famous Cuban revolutionary and poet of the 19th century. Jose Marti Airport was in the 1950s and 1960s the primary port of entry airport for Cuba. Up until the January 1st 1959 revolution many US airlines served Havana, but due to mounting tensions, the crisis of the Bay of Pigs attack, and later on the October 1962 missile crisis, traffic and tourism was ended as the US led blockade of Cuba took hold. By the time of this scenery, April 1962, the once former bustling Jose Marti airport had become quite sedate.

Piaggio P-166DL3 SEM Patrol Version Download

File Description:
Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! The seventh of the coming P-166 aircraft series. I'm going to built the whole family of these graceful twins. The Piaggio P-166A is a light small twin. An Exotic two-engined prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. The P-166DL3 is the actual production version of a plane that firt flew in 1957, now with turboprop engines, new avionics, increased fuel capacity, and completly new hydraulic and electric system. Its origin is traced Back to the Piaggio P-136, a light anphibian, which the P-166 keeps the wings, the engines and the tailplanes. The first P-166A flew in November 1957, and the DL3 is dated 1976. The APH version (Aero-PHotograammetric) was originally built featuring a flat bottom with opening holes for cameras and orher devices, planning to use the unit for logistic squads, that never formed. So the APH internal features were generally limited to Military high density transport, paratrooper transport, or Cargo. Units fitted with APH original projected photogrammetric capibilities are very rare. he SEM version can be esily identified by the big sonar under the nose, the FLIR under the left wing and a search light on the right wing. It' a maritime antismuggling patrol aircraft, and it's used by the italian Cost guard and "guardia Di Finanza (Finance Guard). The aircraft waits to be repalced by a new version, the P-166DP-1, with PT-6A engines. This model is 740 Kbs with c.a. 21000 polygons in c.a.160 assemblies. Features Clickable Dynamic Photoreal VC with non-planar throttle quadrant. New here is the photoreal panel. Detailed internals.

Integrated Simavionics: Dreamfleet 727 GNS Edition 1.0 Download

File Description:
Here's probably the best addition to your favorite Trijet! The Dreamfleet 727 sure is one of the best simulated classic airliners out there for Flight Simulator, but being a classic, it also brings some problems when flown in a modern air traffic environment. Radio navigation alone just won't do it anymore, especially if you fly online with real controlers. A "go direct XXX" instruction can easily turn into a nightmare - nowadays technology offers some things to ease the workload and increase safety, and it's time to use these means wherever possible. Boeing 727 jets are still being flown in almost all parts of the world, mostly as freighters, and almost all of them have been updated with modern avionics, ranging from small GPS devices up to full blown glass cockpits with flight management computers. Thanks to Ernie Alston and his "Integrated Simavionics", you will now be able to equip your fleet of Dreamfleet 727 aircraft with a GNS, allowing not only detailed flight planning but also access to many informations that will very useful during your flights. In case you haven't already done so, now would be a good time to pick up the manuals that came with the "Integrated Simavionics Package" to learn about the many new possibilities you will gain by adding the GNS to your cockpit. The gauges will be added both to the 2D and 3D cockpits! Another benefit you get with this package: the Virtual Cockpit textures will now appear in a much higher resolution, providing crisp and clear instruments and a much better look! Note that this is only enabled with the GNS-equipped cockpits.

Airlift International C-46 1965 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the C-46 in Airlift International 1965 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. My previous uploads were the of Riddle Airline's fleet. This is a continuation of that airline's affairs. Riddle Airlines faced financial difficulties and in June 1962 all services were suspended. This crisis led to a reorganization of the airline in July 1962, under an entirely new management team. Subsequently, the airline was renamed Airlift International on November 29, 1963, and the corporate takeover took effect in March 1964. Airlift, got off on the right foot as they received 31 of Riddle's aircraft. They started international operations to Rome and Milan with their solo DC-8F aircraft, with another DC-8F joining the fleet in June 1964. By 1965 Airlift was on cloud nine as they earned and a net profit of $1,744,907. In 1966 they were able to take over Slick Airways, itself a big cargo carrier. In fact, it was previously the largest all-cargo airline in the USA, in 1951. Also, in 1966 they recorded a net profit of $3 million dollars. Airlift went from strength to strength, posting profits, and enhancing the quality of their fleet. In 1967 they received L-100 Hercules, 727-172Cs, and 707-365Cs. In 1970 however, they had a downturn due to the U.S. recession, and cutbacks in Vietnam airlift operations. For Airlift the 1970s did not allow them to reach the heights of the 1960s. They battled on, but financial problems plagued them that by 1981 Airlift had no physical assets and only $44,000 in cash on hand. They almost collapsed that year, but with restructuring, and a few ups and downs, they survived until 1993, when they eventually ceased operations. This repaint is of an Airlift C-46 (N75388) which was with the airline from 1956 to 1966.Airlift International had a lot of C-46s in their fleet over the years, 48 in total. N75388 was with Airlift from 1963 to 1966. Before that it was with Riddle Airlines from 1956 to 1963. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.

C-17 Globemaster III/ER Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The C-17 Globemaster III/ER is a heavy cargo aircraft used by several foreign militaries, but primarily the U.S. Air Force. She is designed to do many things that other cargo aircraft cannot, based on her unique design. This version incorporates the extended range fuel tanks. The real world aircraft can actually use reverse thrust in flight, up to 100% reverse power, during descents or on the ground. It is also the only heavy aircraft in the world with a wing efficiency factor over 1.0, which is theoretically impossible, but true. All of the dynamics in this model are correct down to the inch, so she does almost everything the real aircraft does. Some things are not possible in FSX, including reverse thrust while in flight, but full flaps/slats employed in a steep descent will adequately simulate this effect without damage to the model while in flight. The landing gear are authentic and capable of heavy loads. The weight and balance is authentic. The fuel tanks are authentic. The aircraft name, tail number, location, and callsign are authentic. The calculated range(s) listed are all authentic, understanding that most public data released is based on average range, at average altitude, and normal payload missions. The sound is authentic. The engine dynamics are authentic. The panel used is the best I could find, is fairly authentic, and requires some pre-flight study before flight. All-in-All the aircraft is very simple to fly, but requires some study to operate correctly, so I recommend all simmers watch as many "You Tube" videos, read as many authentic sites, and study as much as possible about this aircraft before operation. Model by: Bob Chicilo, Sound by: Devyn Silverstein, Panel by: Phillip Wallaert, Auto Smoke Effects by Richard Wisman/Douglas E. Trapp, Real World Aero/Engine Dynamics and modifications by: Douglas E. B-52J Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Since it became operational in 1955, the B-52 has been the main long-range heavy bomber of the U.S. Air Force. It first flew on Apr. 15, 1952. Nearly 750 B-52s were built when production ended in Oct. 1963. This "J" model is the future re-engined "h" model 60-0042 of the 917th Wing AFRC based at Barksdale AFB (KBAD). She flies higher, further, and faster than any previous version. The aircraft can cruise at 380 KIAS at 500 ft agl over about 5,000 nm which makes her capable of reaching targets within enemy airspace anywhere on the globe without being detected by radar until it's too late. Her normal high altitude cruise speed has been increased to Mach .88 above FL550E over 9,000 nm without refueling, and her service ceiling has increased to FL570E. The 50,000 lb payload is still nominal, but due to the lighter engines she now has more accomidations for the crew, and does not require refueling very often. She can range much further with less speed (i.e., Mach .85), but there is normally no need for that. This aircraft is designed to fly like the real thing. It is likely one of the best B-52 models available at this time. I have test-flown this aircraft around the globe several times to reassure myself that all is well. You will not have a bouncing effect occur when cruising with 16x speed acceleration and autopilot engaged because all aerodynamics and balance are perfected to a very low margin of error, or no error margin at all. Please be sure to read the INSTRUCT.TXT file for extended details. Original aircraft designer: Mike Stone; Textures by Bill Baldwin; Panel and gauges by Philippe Wallaert; Auto Smoke Effects by Richard Wisman; BR-725 Sound by Ronald Buffalo; Real World aero/engine dynamics, data, lights and effects by: Douglas E. Trapp, FS Flight Dynamics Engineer, Irving, Texas, [email protected], October 2018. Eurofighter Typhoon Panel Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The panel has been developed for FSX Flight Simulator SP1 or SP2. It has also been tested with Microsoft Acceleration, but compatibility is not guaranteed by the author.
This panel has been designed according to a large number of technical documents, descriptions, and pictures out of the Internet. The design goal was to develop a panel and gauges as close as possible to the original aircraft. It was, however by far not possible to programming all the functions and displays, because of the complexity of the real Eurofighter panel, and also because of limitations in FSX.
However, I believe, that the panel with the MFD screen displays gives a good impression on how the real Eurofighter cockpit looks inside. The aircraft model, development by ALPHA/VIRTAVIA, has been used as the base for this panel development. The aim was to go with one model version only , the two seater air to air model. A number of parameter of the aircraft.cfg have been modified to achieve a best possible result of the flight dynamics for the model. It is up to the user to use any other model as this one, and use this panel for it.
For this package, panel and model, I decided to call it the X -Version which shall be seen as an experimental military test version, or if you like, a " Proof of Concept " version. So, you will see a neutral paint with just the Typhoon letters on the aircraft tail. This approach allows to go with deviations and differences to the current technical implementations for the cockpit displays and functions for the Eurofighter.
The panel includes gauges for the afterburner effects, sonic sound effect, callout sounds, weapon explosions effects, and a full functioning TCAS gauge (A future requirement for the Eurofighter), A2A fuel functions, target radar tracking functions and more. The panel has been developed for widescreen monitors only. No VC panel is part of this package.

This is not a load and fly package. Please take your time to read the included panel documentation carefully. Do not skip chapters because you may think, they are not important for you. For copyrights and credits please look at the documentation for this panel.
