This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G 44-6596 LG-P "Sweet Dish" of the 322nd BS/ 91st BG based in Bassingbourne UK. She arrived in Bassingbourne on the 4th of November 1944 and flew her first mission 5 days later, after which she was assigned to Lt Bob Roach and his crew. He suggested naming her Sweet Dish, after his wife, who was known to the crew. Tony Starcer painted her portrait, based on a pocket photograph. By war's end, she would have completed 46 missions by the war's end, including 24 flown by BoB Roach. Her hairiest mission was to Berlin on 5 december. Flak knocked out no.1 engine and set fire to no.2. During the dive to eliminate the fire, the engineer bailed out, and the navigator and bomb aimer followed him. The fire was extinguished however, and 'Sweet Dish' flew home on two engines. They counted 365 holes in the ship next day, and it took until the end of december to get her in the air again. At the end of the war, she took a group of ground crew on a flight over the damaged cities of Germany, so that they too could see the effect of their work, and in may she helped repatriate released PoW's. In june 1945, she flew back to the States, where she was scrapped at Kingman, Arizona in december 1945.

The Drivable and Flyable Grey Van is derived from a stationary Euro Van model by the following modifications / additions:
-land-vehicle instrument panel
-sound files
-FSX effects and custom exhaust smoke effects files
-modified .CFG and .AIR files
The vehicle is powered by a single aircraft piston engine with modified flaps to serve as a gear-shift. High gear allows the vehicle to speed up to 70 Kt on wide highways, while the low gear restricts the speed to about 12 Kt, but enables the vehicle to ascend steep slopes for exploring terrain scenery.
At speeds around 65-70 Kt (in gear 4), pulling back on the yoke will allow the vehicle to take off and fly at level-flight speeds around 70 Kt. This is an interesting way to go island-hopping, overcome insurmountable terrain obstacles, or cover larger straight-line distances without using the slew mode.
An autopilot with hold altitude and hold heading options is operable during flight only.
All dashboard instruments are fully functional, including the Radio-Magnetic Indicator (RMI) during flight. Needles 1 and 2 are activated if correct frequencies are entered in the ADF and VOR radios.
The vehicle has lights which are toggled by pressing [L]. Lights are associated with a very thin exhaust smoke effect. Thick exhaust smoke is toggled by pressing [I].
Driving vehicles through FSX scenery in different seasons presents a whole new aspect to the simulation. It allows us to imagine discovering innumerable places on the planet which are in practice beyond our reach.

B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2270, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #2. Pilot: Lt. Travis Hoover, Co-Pilot: Lt. William N. Fitzhugh, Navigator: Lt. Carl R. Wildner, Bombardier: Lt. Richard E. Miller, Flight Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Douglas V. Radney. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Texture, and Damage Files included. the 40th aniversary aircraft was painted with ref to photos i could find,on airliners.net,and a web site for JASDF aircraft,plus some updated info from Esa of AFG,so the textures have been updated as much as posible.
The correct 402 squadron badge has been put on the tail,thanks to help from esa of AFG,for pointing me to the correct web site with JASDF squadron details.
The aircraft will show in fs9 as [Japan air force 159 40th V2.7].
Also included in this package is the 159 in standard JASDF 402 SQDN colours,and it will show as [Japan air force 159 std V2.7].

This sound.cfg replaces the one uploaded in August 2008. Both the interior and exterior sounds have been improved. Please replace the sound.cfg you already downloaded by this new one. In my search for a good sound for the Canadair CL-215 amphibious fire tanker, I struck on the fabulous soundpack
for the beautiful Douglas A-26 Invader of Milton Shupe and the Sim-Outhouse Team, made by David C. Copley. Most of the wav-files in this soundpack are recordings of the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800 engines of an A-26
Invader. Having studied the Invaders sound pack, I discovered that by ‘tweaking’ the sound.cfg, particularly with regard to the exterior sounds, it became possible to develop a good exterior CL-215 sound (2 engines). No changes were made to the wav-files, as I didn’t want to modify them; the wav-files just sound wonderful. In order to make your system reproduce the CL-215 sound, first download from www.sim-outhouse.com the great Douglas A-26 Invader package and enjoy flying that plane. Then copy the sound pack of the A-26 to the CL-215, and replace the existing sound.cfg by the revised one you just downloaded. You can also use this sound for the Martin 4-0-4. This CL-215 sound has been tested in FS2004 only. Special thanks to David C. Copley who gave his permission to upload the modified sound.cfg as freeware, with limited distribution, at Sim-Outhouse.com and Avsim.com. Many thanks also to Milton Shupe. ::: Corrected version ::: Representative and accurate charter flight plans for the summer 2005 period, which have been compiled according to the company information for the week of 4th July, 2005.
TUI Airlines Belgium (TUB) is the most important charter airline based in Belgium, flying with its own fleet which includes: 1 Fokker 100 (OO-TUF), 3 Boeing 737-400 (OO-TUA, OO-TUB, OO-TUI), 2 Boeing 737-800W (OO-VAC, OO-VAS), and 1 Boeing 767-300ER (OO-TUC).
In addition for the summer, TUB is wet leasing two 737's from Futura International Airways, also operating under the "Beauty" callsign.
As for all charter company, flights differs from one week to one another but this file comprises its main destinations regularly visited throughout the summer period.
They are currently flying from its main base Brussels-National (as well as from the belgian regional airports of Liège and Oostende) to many various medium- and long-haul destinations:
Agadir, Alicante, Almeria, Araxos, Athens, Burgas, Cagliari, Cairo, Cancun, Catania, Chania, Chios, Djerba, Dubrovnik, Faro, Fuerteventura, Funchal, Girona, Gran Canaria, Hurghada, Ibiza, Iraklion, Jerez, Kerkira, Kos, Lanzarote, La Palma, Luxor, Mahon, Malagà, Malta, Marrakech, Marsa Alam, Mitilini, Monastir, Montego Bay, Murcia, Mykonos, Napoli, Pafos, Palermo, Palma de Mallorca, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Rhodos, Samos, Santorini, Sharm-el-Sheikh, Tabarka, Tanger, Tarbes, Tenerife-Sur, Toulon, Tunis, Varadero, Varna, and Zakinthos.
Other destinations such as Corsica, Tunisia and Turkey are jointly operated with partner airlines such as SN Brussels Airlines, MNG, Thomas Cook, Karthago and Tunis Air, but not included here.

| VVCR Cam Ranh Airport |

File Description:
Cam Ranh is currently a fast-growing beauty spot and tourist area on the Vietnamese coast. In May 2004, Cam Ranh airport (VVCR) opened to commercial traffic, initially only serving domestic traffic but international flights will commence in 2005. The airport was once a massive US Air Force base, but was later used as a base for Russion spy plane activities.
This scenery adds this "missing" airport to Flight Simulator, but much is based around satellite views of the airport when the US were spying on the Russian base and other historical information and it may not accurately reflect the airport as it is today. Furthermore, my capabilities at scenery design are limited and restricted to scenery objects available through the Rwy12 scenery creation programme.
You do NOT need to download and install the full 45 MB Rwy 12 Object Placer programme, which is for the designers and not the end user.
Some of the scenery objects will appear without any extra downloads, but to get the greatest benefit from this scenery, you may optionally download following files, which should be installed according to the instructions within this download and not as described in their own download archive:

Middle marker for rwy 27 has been permanently withdrawn so the missed approach point of the GP inop. procedure had been amended as 1D ILS/DME in place of middle marker(mm). Navaid BMB freq 396khz withdrawn from service.

English Electric Lightning for AI traffic - The Frightening Part 1. This aircraft is one of the iconic military aircraft of the Cold War era, charged with home defense of the United Kingdom, as well as duties abroad, throught the 1960s - early 1980s. The Lightning served admirably in that role, was exported to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait; and also saw limted combat service in the Arabian penninsular region. After thirteen years of painting, and eight years of abortive attempts to discover the true mysteries of aircraft design, this is my first from-scratch original aircraft to make it to upload. There is a lot of Nick Black influence (and pilot figure) in this model, but the rest of the physical model is all mine, good or bad. This is an 8-LOD model, with all sorts of eye candy listed in the documentation. The painting comes from an age when gaudy heraldic liveries were quite acceptable on tactical aircraft, so this is a painter's dream as well. My intent was to make a very comprehensive offering with a lot of options (and paints), so to that end I am breaking this up into three manageable parts so it won't be a 70MB download. This is part 1, encompassing the F.1, F.1A, F.2, F.3, and F.3A variants; collectively containing 25 model options and 30 paints. Please take some time to read the extensive doucmentation, there are numerous credits and instructions regarding this model. Base models, paint kits, and release repaints by Michael Pearson, inspiration by Nick Black, flight dynamics by Michael MacIntyre, and relentless technical expertise from Steve Holland.

| RAF Swanton Morley - Norfolk, England |

File Description:
Swanton Morley was a new station planned under the RAF expansion scheme but not completed to the same standard before the start of the Second World War. It was part of No. 2 Group in Bomber Command until December 1944 when it was given over to 100 Group - the RAF unit responsible for countering German defences against the British strategic bombing - as they needed another airfield close to their HQ at Bylaugh Hall.
On 4 July 1942, American and British airmen took off from this station as part of the first combined bombing raid of World War II. No 226 Squadron had been tutoring the US 15 Bombardment Squadron. Both Winston Churchill and General Eisenhower were at RAF Swanton Morley for this mission, which saw six crews from 15th Bombardment Squadron fly a raid with six crews from the RAF, using Boston light bombers belonging to No. 226 Squadron RAF. The raid was made at low level against German airfields in the Netherlands. During World War II the station was home to the Bomber Support Development Unit (BSDU) of No. 100 Group RAF.
After World War II the station was home to No 1 Air Signaller's School and later to the Central Servicing Development Establishment (CSDE) and the Maintenance Analysis and Computing Establishment (MACE).
From June 1953 to 1995 the station was also used by 611 Volunteer Gliding School, when the station was listed for closure under Options for Change. The station held popular airshows during the 1980s. The station closed in 1995 and was converted to an Army base now known as Robertson Barracks. Source: Wikipedia.
