| Cunard Eagle Viscount 707 G-ARKH |
|
File Description:
Built for Aer Lingus as EI-AFW and delivered in March 1954 this aircraft was sold to Eagle Airways (Bermuda) in January 1960 as VR-BBJ. In March 1961 it was transferred to the renamed Cunard Eagle Airways when the shipping company bought a large interest in Eagle. It became G-ARKH until after Cunard pulled out and teamed up with BOAC. The airline was renamed British Eagle and this aircraft was sent back to the caribbean taking up it's previous marks of VR-BBJ in July 1962. Just two months later it was bought by Bahamas Airways who sold it in July 1963 to BOAC Associate Companies and reverted to G-ARKH. It continued with Bahamas Airways as VP-BCF when repurchased in January 1964. This continued until December 1968 when it was bought by Bahamas Developement Corporation and WFU and stored Nassau, Bahamas. Sold to James Carter in July 1973 it was withdrawn at Little Rock Arkansas. Sold to Southern International Air Transport in December 1977 it was broken up at California City, California later the same month. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of PH-PBA. It was built as c/n 19434 and went to the 8th Air Force as 42-100971. She served among other during Operation Market Garden. After the war, she was obtained by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands and registered as PH-PBA in 1946. In 1947, the Rijksluchtvaartdienst (RLD, Civil Aviation Authoroties) took her on charge, and from then on she served as the first Dutch Government aircraft, used mainly to fly the Dutch Royal family, often with Prince Bernhard as pilot. In 1961 she was replaced by a Fokker F-27, but continued to be used by the RLD, in the paintscheme presented here. In 1975, she was transferred to the Aviodome museum at Schiphol airport, where she stood outside for 20 years. Prince Bernhard always lobbied for a return to airworthiness for PH-PBA, and in 1995 she reappeared on the Dutch register. She is currently flying with the Dutch Dakota Association, in a combined KLM - Air France paintscheme. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

| Nomads Travel Club 1998 |
|
File Description:
Nomads Travel Club may be one of the most storied travel clubs in aviation history. Founded in 1961 and based in Detroit(DTW), where the airline had it's own terminal, Nomads Travel Club gave up to 10,000 adventurous members the opportunity to hop on aircraft for elaborate tours across the earth. Initially flying a DC-7C, the airline upgraded to a L-188 Electra, CV-990, 727-100, and finally 727-200 N727M in 1993 which served the club until it's demise in 2011. N727M has traveled to dozens of countries and hundreds of airports, and I was able to find good information about 2 tours flown in 1998 and represented them in these plans. The aircraft spends at least half a day at each destination except for YHZ which is just a Westbound refueling stop. As far as I could find, the airline had no callsign or codes, so I am guessing they used the registration as a callsign. There is a paint for the AIA 727-200 on Avsim as "aib722nomads.zip".Flightplans by Chasen Richardson, based on real tours flown in 1998. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Part 12) |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Part 12). The B-52 first flew in 1952, the last one was built in 1961, and there are still over 90 of the original 744 airframes either in front-line service or in a ready-reserve status. With extensive avionics upgrades starting this year, the USAF plans on using the B-52s until 2045, 93 years after first flight. The aircraft has an impressive resume, having served in five shooting wars and was the backbone of Strategic Air Command's nuclear deterrent air component during almost forty years of Cold War service.
Jake Burrus started this AI traffic model a couple of years ago, and I was honored to pick up the project and get it across the finish line, with no small amount of help from Mike MacIntyre, as usual. This is a 7-LOD AI traffic model representing the Stratofortress in all of its operational service. This is part 12, showcasing the B-52H used from 1993 to 2000; with a total of 32 repaints. Also included are optional models for VFR traffic use. Aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Mike Pearson, master textures and repaints by Mike Pearson, flight dynamics by Mike MacIntyre. Please read the extensive documentation contained in the file.
