YFRV Oombugurri Community, Western Australia (Town closed 2011) Download

File Description:
YFRV Oombugurri Community, Western Australia, formerly Forrest River Mission. Features extensive flattening of Forrest River which runs uphill. Take a flight there before installing the scenery. Oombulgurri, was an Aboriginal community in the eastern Kimberley, 45 kilometres southeast of Wyndham. The Anglican Forrest River Mission for Aborigines was founded in 1896���¢������97 by Harold Hale (Later Bishop of Prth) but was abandoned after a few months. A permanent mission, known as the Forrest River Mission, was established on the site in 1913 by the bishop of the north west, the Rt. Rev. Gerard Trower. In December 1913, Anglican priest Ernest Gribble took charge, three years after he was forced to resign as superintendent at Yarrabah. Gribble remained as superintendent until the early 1930s. In 1926 the mission was plagued by an influenza epidemic and impacted by the Forrest River massacre where police killed a number of Aboriginal people. This event remains controversial. The mission was closed in 1969, after the 1967 Aboriginal referendum. In 1973, fifty Aboriginal people decided to resettle their abandoned tribal land and rename it Oombulgurri. Within a year, the population had grown to 200. Infrastructure and welfare programs were set up in the 1970s and 1980s to provide the residents with basic amenities and to allow the town to become self-sufficient. In 2007 a Coronial Inquiry began into Aboriginal deaths in the Kimberley, including five in Oombulgurri. It revealed high levels of alcohol abuse, suicide and child neglect in Oombulgurri. Some time after the inquest, alcohol was banned there and the population began to move away to areas where alcohol was available. It had a population of 107 as of the 2006 census. In 2011, the government of Western Australia encouraged residents of Oombulgurri to move elsewhere as it considered the community "unviable". The last residents from Oombulgurri were relocated to Wyndham just before Christmas 2011. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

Eurofighter Typhoon Panel Download

The panel has been developed for FSX Flight Simulator SP1 or SP2. It has also been tested with Microsoft Acceleration, but compatibility is not guaranteed by the author.
This panel has been designed according to a large number of technical documents, descriptions, and pictures out of the Internet. The design goal was to develop a panel and gauges as close as possible to the original aircraft. It was, however by far not possible to programming all the functions and displays, because of the complexity of the real Eurofighter panel, and also because of limitations in FSX.
However, I believe, that the panel with the MFD screen displays gives a good impression on how the real Eurofighter cockpit looks inside.The aircraft model, development by ALPHA/VIRTAVIA, has been used as the base for this panel development. The aim was to go with one model version only , the two seater air to air model. A number of parameter of the aircraft.cfg have been modified to achieve a best possible result of the flight dynamics for the model. It is up to the user to use any other model as this one, and use this panel for it.
For this package, panel and model, I decided to call it the X -Version which shall be seen as an experimental military test version, or if you like, a " Proof of Concept " version. So, you will see a neutral paint with just the Typhoon letters on the aircraft tail. This approach allows to go with deviations and differences to the current technical implementations for the cockpit displays and functions for the Eurofighter.
The panel includes gauges for the afterburner effects, sonic sound effect, callout sounds, weapon explosions effects, and a full functioning TCAS gauge (A future requirement for the Eurofighter), A2A fuel functions, target radar tracking functions and more. The panel has been developed for widescreen monitors only. No VC panel is part of this package.

This is not a load and fly package. Please take your time to read the included panel documentation carefully. Do not skip chapters because you may think, they are not important for you. For copyrights and credits please look at the documentation for this panel.

Pagasa Island, Philippines Download

Pagasa Island is a jewel in the South China Sea. It is the one pictured - an emerald splash in an azure sea slashed by a coral runway - whenever new collisions or confrontations are reported in the news for the region. Occupied continuously by the Philippines since 1971, historical use dates back to the Han dynasty, which many believe forms the basis of the Chinese claim to the island. Each country has it's own interpretation of international law and the Filipinos are clearly banking on the precedence of continuous occupation, at no small expense, as Rancudo Field is the farthest airport from Manila within the Philippine sphere of control. Surprisingly, the geography of the island serves to capture and retain rainwater, although the aquifer is stagnant and the water must be treated for consumption. Sea life remains abundant, poachers take coral heads and sea turtles. There is a solar farm and recently installed solar street lights, fuel for the generators is a precious commodity this far from the mainland. Sadly, nature may solve the struggle for possession by withdrawing the island from the arena. It is believed that the construction of the runway may have compromised the islands basic integrity, allowing it to crumble into the sea. Whatever the cause, the evidence is clear. Bunkers built during the Japanese occupation in WWII are already slipping beneath the waves and the rate of salt water encroachment has been recorded at close to 6" per day. There are some things to explore, the grounded BRP Laneo Del Norte to the west; over to the north near the resort grounds are a dugout fishing canoe and some authentic Philippine bangka boats; you may want to load up and head east to do some low warning passes over the Chinese fishing fleet. Standing at the east end of the field, you can just barely spot the China Coast Guard cutter's smoke on the horizon. The tower is marked by a bright strobe that fires once every five seconds and at night it is bright enough to guide you back to the island from the distance of the fleet. There are no published procedures and the tower is not staffed. Airport ICAO is RPPN.

Freeware Project Kobe X (RJBE) Japan Download

Freeware project KOBE X (RJBE) Japan. Contains fully detailed airport with custom ground polygons. Accurate 3d model and texture of all the building of the airport including the terminal, control tower, hangars, bridge and many more. Please note that this project was my initial experience in many fields of scenery design so take it as it is and enjoy flying in Japan. The design is never done but I think it was ready to be released. Still have some work to do with the animated jetways and night lighting for my next "payware" project (KSAN, San Diego Intl). It's going to be far better than this freeware.

You can download the world of ai installer and install the All Nippon Airways package and maybe the JAL too. The jetways are not animated but you can park a 747 in gate 1, a 767 in gate 5 and a 737 in gate 6 and be perfectly aligned with the jetway door.

Also I've not try this scenery in a less powerful computer than mine. I run a Windows 7, I7-950 @ 3.8 GHz and a GTX 570. So don't get mad if you're having bad performances :). With all sliders in the "display settings" set to max I've around 20 fps in the virtual cockpit of the level-d 767. You'll get a nicer airport with also the global texture resolution set to max, water effects set to High 2.x and traffic to ultra-high. Do not turn on Ground scenery shadows as it will make a shadow for the entire airport (ground poly). I've some tutorial on my YouTube channel (n170toga) on how to make fsx sceneries if you are interested. Don't forget to subscribe there and have updates for the upcoming scenery. Please review this airport if you like as I will learn a lot for my next project and it's only going to be better.

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" Download

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Seattle in march 1944. This was around the transition from camouflaged to bare metal aircraft, which led to the odd situation that the datablock was stencilled onto a OD panel, while the rest of the aircraft was left bare metal. This was because the datablock was sprayed on right at the beginning of production. The aircraft was assigned to the 401st BS of the 91st BG, and was collected at the depot in Burtonwood by Paul McDuffee, who was so impressed with its smooth handling that he asked to be assigned to it. The aircraft was named by its crew chief, Hank Cordes, and was named after a popular song by the Andrews Sisters. Originally, the name was 'Shoo shoo baby', applied in gothic letters, which was later replaced by a Vargas girl and an additional 'shoo', painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer. McDuffee flew 13 missions with 076, before completing his tour of duty. On completion of his last flight, he buzzed the airfield and flew so low that fencing wire became entangled in the tail wheel. On the plane's 23rd mission, on 29 may 1944, Lt. Robert Guenther was flying 076 on a raid to Poznan when he suffered engine failure on one engine, and a while later, flak knocked out a second engine. 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' started to fall behind, and when a third engine started to falter, Lt Guenther decided to turn to neutral Sweden, with the crew jettisoning all loose equipment. A group of FW190's closed in, but did not open fire, peeling away. By the time 076 reached Bulltofta airfield near Malmö, it had only one engine left, but it did manage to perform a safe landing. The crew were interned, and the aircraft was impounded. The crew returned to the UK in October 1944, and 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' would later tour the world... U.S.S. Enterprise 2702-D Download

File Description:
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D was a Galaxy-class extended-duration starship and the flagship of Starfleet. The fifth starship to be named Enterprise, she was commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. With a total of 42 decks, the U.S.S. Enterprise-D was twice the length and had eight times the interior space of the Constitution-class ships of over a century earlier; she carried a combined crew and passenger load of about 1,012. Defensive systems included 10 phaser banks, 250 photon torpedoes, and a high capacity shield grid; there are some 4,000 power systems in all aboard ship. Full acceleration time from reverse, sub-light impulse through nominal top warp speed, warp 9, was 0.03 milliseconds. The ship achieved maximum speed of warp 9.5 maximum when pursued by the entity known as "Q"; at warp 9.3 its engines had passed the red line. By stardate 43205, she had already logged tens of thousands of light-years since setting out around stardate 41153.7 after Jean-Luc Picard formally became her first captain on stardate 41124. An average day aboard ship, according to Lieutenant Commander Data, included four birthdays, two personnel transfers, two chess tournaments, a secondary school play, four promotions, the celebration of the Hindu Festival of Lights — and a birth and wedding. Some 13 planets were represented among the ship's complement as of stardate 44247. During the Borg incursion of 2366, Decks 23-25 were sliced open by the enemy during the final battle over Earth and requiring a refit at Earth Station McKinley which lasted 5-6 weeks. It was far less damage than the kamikaze warp-driven collision Commander Riker had readied as one last recourse, however. During that refit, the starship received a phaser upgrade as well as damage repair and a dilithium chamber articulation frame. It off-loaded the original three Runabouts and the first arriving officers at Deep Space Nine. The U.S.S. Enterprise-D was destroyed in 2371 after an attack by renegade Klingons breached her warp core. Although the saucer section separated before the breach, the force of the explosion caused the section to crash on the planet Veridian III. Fortunately, losses were minimal.

Flight dynamics Douglas DC-3 V7.0 Download

File Description:
This Corrected Aircraft.cfg VERSION.7 dated OCTOBER 13th, 2003 Features the Following.... 1. The DC-3 will now not level itself out on a coordinated turn (This was the biggest issue and is now fixed) 2. Flaps now have a little more drag when used. (Will realistically slow down for landings and you wont roll down the runway so much) 3. Differential braking now has a little more power. (Will realistically allow for tighter turns during taxi) 4. The DC-3 itself now has a little more power. (Default version is underpowered and used up too much runway, and.. Default version cruise speed was a little low). 5. Corrected Manifold pressure from 47" to 48" full power (Default version had it slightly wrong) 6.Fuel is now down to 200 per tank (Default has version was a little over) 7. All control surfaces, ailerons, rudder and elevators now have delay (There is a certain lag time when flying a DC-3 and it now shows with these corrections which delays your input to the controls) 8. Elevator trim is now fixed (To much play in the default elevator trim , it is now fixed with less play and also has a delay/lag effect) 9. Rudder trim now with delay/lag 10. Aileron trim now with delay/lag 11. Fuel Flow is now fixed, the DC-3 will burn 90 GPH instead of the original 118 GPH 12. Increased power scalar very slightly for correct cruise airspeed 13. Manifold pressure will decrease 1" MAP per 1,000 feet after 2,000 feet Altitude 13.Exactly 140 kias on full tanks at 9,000' ASL 14. Added Strobe Lights to the wings 15. Adjusted steering (just a tad) for better taxiing 16.Prop (rpm) and Power (map) throttles interact correctly Took off some delay with ailerons and rudder Removed some drag and pitch up from the flaps Added more brake power to the differentials 17. Added a working NAV light to the Nose I have also added a corrected DC-3 reference sheet". In the zip there are two aircraft.cfg's.. one is modified if you are already using the add-on for special effects.

Anticosti Island in Quebec Canada Download

File Description:
Anticosti Island is in the Gulf of St Lawrence, around 25 miles off the Quebec mainland coast. It is some 40 miles wide and 130 miles long on an east west axis. There are few urban areas and only one that can be described as a small town, namely Port Menier at the western end of the southern coast, with a population of under 1,000. There is a ferry service to the harbour. The airport, Port Menier CYPN, is around 3 miles northeast of the town, with an asphalt runway aligned 11-28, 4,875 feet long and 150 feet wide with PAPI at each end. In 2010 (the approximate date of this scenery) a gravel runway was still visible at the eastern end of the field. This was no longer in use by 2010, except perhaps by small planes on skis in the winter. The island, with its small population, small urban area, and no industry other than logging, has as a result a mainly undisturbed wildlife population. This has made deer hunting and fishing the main tourist activities, with one company (called Safari) having an exclusive licence to exploit large areas of mountains and rivers. Planeloads of hunters and fishermen are flown in on chartered Nolinor Aviation planes, landing at CYPN. There are a further two airfields in the eastern end of the island, and in 2010 Rivere-Aux-Saumons CTH7 had a 5,500 feet gravel runway, linked by road to a lodge area at the mouth of the river. This is the only lodge area that I have been able to locate, but there are others. To the south Riviere Bell CRB5 had at that time a gravel runway that was 3,000 feet long. This has been lengthened since then and both runways were recently (2021) asphalted. If you find an error email me please, and note that my email address has been changed to rogwens at Gmail dot com.
