Goodyear FG-1D Corsair N700G Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the FG-1D Corsair by Milviz, in the colors of FG-1D N700G BuNo 88303 is part of the Flying Heritage Museum Collection. The aircraft was built in Akron, Ohio in April 1945. It is a combat veteran having been flown by the Marine aviators of VMF-115 in the southern Philippines in July and August 1945. The Marines were based at Zamboanga and flew close air support and combat air patrols during these months. The aircraft rode out Typhoon Louise on Okinawa in October 1945 and then rotated through a number of training commands before disposal in 1958. While under civilian ownership, it was flown at the Flying W, a western themed airpark in New Jersey, exhibited at a museum, and flown off the USS Carl Vinson in August 1995 during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II. The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum acquired the Corsair in September 1998. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

Lockheed L-10A Electra 42-56640 USAAF Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Lockheed L-10A Electra by Just Flight, in the colors of USAAF UC-36A 42-56640, L-10A c/n #1084 which was built as a Model 10A. During World War II, The U.S. Army Air Corps impressed into service 15 Lockheed Model 10 Electras for use during the wartime emergency. This paint is of 42-56640 (NC16058). Although the Lockheed 10's were built in the late 1930's, they were all serialized with 1942 issued contract numbers. This particular aircraft was c/n #1084, Was operated by Hanford Airlines which became Mid Continent Airlines before the 10A was "drafted" into service on June 8, 1942. It was civilianised back to NC16058 in 1944. After the war it found its way down to South America to TACA Airlines. Registered as XH-TAT, it was involved in an accident at Rio Cuarto, Cordoba Argentina on 7 March 1946 and written off. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by JustFlight.

RAF Hilbaldstow - Lincolnshire, England Download

File Description:
RAF Hibaldstow is a former Royal Air Force satellite airfield located south of Hibaldstow in Lincolnshire and 8.3 miles (13.4 km) south east of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. The airfield was built with greater things in mind, but it only became a satellite airfield for RAF Kirton-in-Lindsey in 1941. When the runways were constructed, some of the hardcore was made from material taken from demolished bungalows on the site.

The airfield was commissioned on 12 May 1941 when No. 255 Squadron RAF took up residence with their Boulton Paul Defiant night fighters. These planes had been drawn from RAF Kirton-in-Lindsey and made one 'kill': an He 111 which was shot down near Louth on 5 June 1941.

On 6 August 1947 the station finally closed and during 1960-61 it was sold off for use as agricultural land. It was also used for Sunday markets, as a skid-pan by Lincolnshire Police and by a local parachute club. The control tower was converted to a two-storey house in 1976.

RAF Metheringham - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England **FIX** Download

File Description:
This is a fix which will sort out the scenery configuration error which prevented the scenery from showing. Metheringham airfield is located two miles to the east of Metheringham village on the B1189. The airfield opened in October 1943 as a Class 'A' bomber airfield within 5 Group. The standard three intersecting concrete runways were provided as were two T2 hangars and a B1. One of the T2s was on the technical site to the south-west, which straddled the B1189 and the other was located off the eastern perimeter track. The bomb stores were to the north and between these and the north-west runway head stood the B1 hangar. The communal and accommodation sites were located in fields to the south and west. Metheringham was also equipped with FIDO fog dispersal equipment. The station closed in 1951 and very little remains of the station now although a small visitors centre with a little museum on site.
You will require third party add-ons - details in the included Read-me.txt file.

Dutch Harbour PADU and St Paul PASN - UPDATES Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This has revised runway circulation for both Dutch Harbour (dutchplus.zip) and St Paul (st_paul.zip) to better reflect reality in helicopter and aircraft operation. It is not realistic for a helicopter to land, continue in a straight line along 6,000' of runway, turn at the far end, then taxi back along the same 6,000' to the aprons. Similarly, a Cessna does not need the same runway length as a 747.

This fix incorporates intermediate turnaround points to allow helicopters and small aircraft to turn around soon after slowing to taxi speed and to taxi back to the aprons at the end of the runway, instead of trudging along the whole length of the runway twice. There are some things that cannot be improved; a plane or helicopter will always taxi all the way from the aprons to the far end of the runway before turning and taking off, and a helicopter or light plane will not "land long" to minimise the taxi length. The pictures show different turning points. There are also revised AI bgl's to provide better time separation between flights.

Kneeboard Viewer 2 for P3D/FSX/X-Plane Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Kneeboard Viewer 2 (KV2) allows the user to open one or two ‘on-top-windows’ to view programs of choice, such as a web page like SkyVector, or a pdf reader for approach charts, in ‘kneeboard windows’ on top of FSX/P3D/X-Plane. The kneeboard windows may be sized and positioned as desired, and will stay visible on top of FSX/P3D/X-Plane while you fly, or may be toggled on and off (shown or hidden) by user selectable keys (or key combinations). There is also an option to control both kneeboard windows together as a unit with a single key. KV2 works in window or full screen mode with FSX/P3D/X-Plane. KV2 was developed as a possible replacement for the PDFkneeboard program which, unfortunately, does not currently work in the latest versions of P3D. However, KV2 does not depend on FSX, P3D or X-plane in any way, and in fact can be used as a general ‘window-on-top’ type of utility.

Alaska South Slope 8; Shishmaref PASH Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
There are four main northwestern Alaska towns which are serviced by Alaska Airlines, and from which local flights spread out. The northernmost is Barrow. Southwest of Barrow is Kotzebue, then Nome, and the furthest south is Bethel (not yet made). This is the first in a series for flights from Nome, and it is Shishmaref, 125 miles north of Nome on the far side of the Seward Peninsula. Shishmaref is a village on one of a string of islands off the northern shore of the Seward Peninsula, with a population of around 560. Like other similarly-sited villages (Kivalina, for instance) it is feeling the effects of coastal erosion and there are plans for a relocation, eventually. The airfield is just beside the village, with a runway of just under 5,000 feet of lit asphalt aligned 05-23, with PAPI on both ends. There are scheduled flights by Era (now renamed Ravn) and by Bering Air, both of them originating in Nome. The AI includes these flights along with Everts Air and GA.

EZ-RWYand TAXI LIGHTS Download

File Description:
These lights you place by yourself for those private airstirps at home or un-monitored airfields at night. This download contains two libraries. Both are indentical except one is controlled by nav2; the other one is controlled by ADF. Nav2 2 will light up day or night. ADF will light up at night only, no dusk\dawn. ADF just appears at night. Nav2 is animated... pops up out of the ground. Turn them off and they disappear into the ground, leaving only the day version (lamps out). No texutre files are needed except for the display I included. For that all is included here. This display shows all lights together and shows how they work. Please read the mustreadme file completely as well as the readme file in one of the included folders. Thanks to David (Opa) Marshall for his inspiration in this and his beta testing and John B. Loney's help as well, who, btw is working on a couple of nice sceneries in CA. One will have a 18 hole golf course with it. Have fun and enjoy. Bob

JA37 Viggen for x-plane 7-UPDATE Download

File Description:
JA37 Viggen for X-Plane 7 - With control surfaces now working properly in 7 Beta 5 the flight characteristics now closely follow the actual aircraft. Mach speed at low altitude is a bit high but is correct at mach 2.1 at altitude. Takeoff distance is now down to 1100 or 1200 ft. at 36000 lbs wt. If you have the 7 Beta 3 version of my plane dump it since the flight model isnt close.

This is the Saab JA37 Jaktviggen more commonly known as the Viggen. The plane is well known for its powerful engine, unique thrust reverser system, and its short takeoff and landing capability. At normal takeoff wt. get off in less than 400 m or 440 yards (1/4 mile) and land in 440 m. The Viggen was developed in the late 60's and early 70's; now it is being replaced by the Drakken and the the US F18. Load different weapons on numerous hard points. Make sure to put all of the parts in the weapons folder.

DHC-2 Beaver Smoke With Control Gauge Download

File Description:
This xml gauge and effect package automatically controls the light smoke effect in the DHC-2 Beaver by simply accelerating the throttle. The DHC-2 Beaver will automatically emit a very light smoke effect at a Manifold Pressure reading of 32(+) or greater, depicting a hard running engine. Reducing the throttle level for cruising (MP30-32) or less for descents deactivates the smoke effect. Even though this xml gauge and effect file works perfectly well by itself, when used in conjunction with my dhc2_fx.zip, all the bases are covered. Smoke automatically engages for cold air temps and with this xml gauge, smoke engages as a result of high manifold pressure (eg. when taking off or climbing). The two work together very nicely without any conflict. Designed for the FS2004 DHC-2 wheeled Beaver by Steven Grant, Fred Choate, and Aaron Swindle. In the AVSIM library-- dhc2_04w.zip -- Also works with the DHC-2 De Havilland Beaver Amphibian v2 that was made for FS2002, but works equally well in FS2004. In the AVSIM library-- dhc2ampv2.zip -- The README file includes complete instructions.
