If you’ve flown in Lynn and Bill Lyon’s Piper PA-23 Apache then you’ll likely know where I’m coming from when I say it’s one of the best payware old GA aircraft models out there. Like the Maule and a few others, it’s one of the few freeware packages out there that could have easily been released as payware (and I think may have initially been payware), and I for one, am very grateful it was not.
However, one of the big gripes with the Apache’s package is the lack of a DME display unit to couple with the Collins multi-comms/avionics gauge, a directional gyro with a heading bug and a suitable autopilot insert to bind the avionics to one AP unit. Initially the PA-23 was sold as an IFR capable plane, with the autopilot being either “good trimming” or the person in the right seat flying the plane. In the decades which followed, autopilots and updated gear became commonplace and most Piper PA-23’s were outfitted with modern avionics.
This upgrade will replace the bank indicator with a Directional Gyro w/ Heading Bug, add a DME indicator, and add a Bendix/King KAP 140 autopilot controller.

This is an imaginary repaint for A2A P-51D Mustang Civilian to fly in Africa (great in Orbx Open LC Africa) over Malawi and around.
The pilot's name on the fuselage is fictive : Jok Lubanga is the name of the "mountain evil spirit" (and the name of 2 beautiful songs by Geaffrey Oryema)
Made by Jean Marc with Gimp and FSRepaint v2.25, from the initial repaint 'USAAF Old Crow Early W' by Tom Weiss
(PS : on the screenshots, a few area have wrong reflections with sun light due to alpha channels inaccurate colors on the texture dds : these have been corrected on the enclosed dds files and should not appear at present)

*** This is an updated version with fixes and instructions for locating some of the ai aircraft needed.***
Imeson Field, as it was also known, has been long closed down and replaced by the Jacksonville International airport (KJAX) in 1968. This scenery will bring back Imeson Field (and remove KJAX) to its glory days of the 1950s and 1960s with traffic files to match. Dan French has provided custom terminals, hangars and buildings for this project and Deltadart has provided many custom Military aircraft textures covering the many aircraft types employeed by the 159th FIS Forida Air National Guard during this period. This scenery is meant to work with the Calclassic retro environment by Tom Gibson and the Calclassic community.

FS2004 Central Airlines Convair CV-240 VBF CA-18, Convair CV-240-0, cn 74, completed on June 10, 1948 and delivered to American Airlines on June 19, 1948, registered NC94237 and named "Flagship Akron", later renamed "Flagship Lake Ontario". Bought by Central Airlines on December 15, 1960 and reregistered N74850. Converted by General Dynamics to CV-600 on July 29, 1966 and sold to Frontier Airlines on October 01, 1967. After operated by several companies cancelled from the register in August 1995. Textures and associated model file included only. Requires cv240VBFca18_basepack_010.ZIP. | Liberty Belle Boeing B-17G N390TH |

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the Wings of Power Boeing B-17F/G Flying Fortress, in the markings of the Liberty Foundation's B-17G "Liberty Belle," N390TH. This aircraft was utilized by the Pratt & Whitney company after WWII as a T34 & T64 turboprop engine test bed, being modified to carry the 5th engine in the nose. Eventually the aircraft made its way to Tom Reilly's Vintage Aircraft where it was completely restored back to WWII configuration, requiring, among other things, the re-positioning of the cockpit to its original position. Owned by Dan Brooks/The Liberty Foundation, the aircraft can be seen at many airshows during the summer throughout the U.S.

Convair CV-240-4, cn 144, in black and gold cheatline livery of the Sixties equipped with aftermarket button nose radar. Originally delivered to KLM in 1949, registered PH-TEL and named "Jacob van Ruisdeal". Reregistered PH-CEL on March 16, 1954. Bought by Swissair on July 7, 1954, registered HB-IMA and named "Tessin". Bought by Mohawk Airlines on August 29, 1956,
registered N1020C and named "Air Chief Tioga". In 1977 sold and from that time on operated by several other companies.

File Description:
The Convair with cn 52-24, build as a Convair T-29D (240-52), entered the US Air Force in 1954. She later was converted to VT-29D standards and assigned to the Strategic Air Command where she got the typical blue band covered with white stars and SAC insignia on the rear fuselage. In January 1975 she was stored at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. On November 23, 1977 the aircraft was bought by Allied Aircraft Sales and broken up. This is a repaint of the Convair 440 in LAGE (Lineas Aereas de Guinea Ecuatorial) colors. The freeware CalClassic Convair 440 by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. LAGE (Lineas Aereas de Guinea Ecuatorial) was formed in 1970 after the country's independence, as the national airline of Equatorial Guinea. They began operations with leased Convair CV-440s from Iberia. The airline flew mainly to domestic destinations, as well as flights to neighboring Cameroon's capital Douala, and Libreville in Gabon. In 1979 the airline ceased operations, and all 4 CV-440s were returned to Iberia. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.

Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-7C - repainted Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-7C base pack with model, sound and panel from calclassic.com.
These textures depict N6354C (c/n 45111) originally delivered to BOAC as G-AOIA. From 1964 on she passed through several companys and travel clubs until 1979 when bought by Belize Air Cargo Inc. This company used the aircraft as freighter despite the absence of a freight door, mainly for meat transport. In 1981 she was seized in Colombia because of drug smuggling and pressed into service with the Fuerza Aerea Colombiana as FAC-923. Today this DC-7C is preserved in the Air Force Museum in Bogota.
