This module was written for the California Classics DC-6B (Base Pack, build 1/19/2010) by Greg Pepper, Tom Gibson and Ken Mitchell available on www.calclassic.com
This adds engine failures, carb icing, oil and water/methanol consumption making the DC-6B experience even more realistic. Oil and water/methanol levels are saved between flights and can be refilled on the ground. Includes widescreen and reference sheet. Oil and water consumption fixed for latest model, pause and time warp now supported.

LPAZ Santa Maria Airport, Azores, Portugal (Ca. 1962)
Opened during the height of World War II to suppliment the nearby Lajes AB, this was an important fuel and technical stop in the 1940's through to the early 1960's for many airlines.
Scenery created with generic, classic buildings therefore requires the CalClassic Scenery Objects Library V4 available at most major websites.
Thanks to Tom Gibson and everyone at CalClassics for their support and information, without which this scenery would not have been possible.

File Description:
This is a fictitious repaint of DC-6B. This aircraft has had a hard life as depicted by the constant respray of primers, etc. However, this airplane is also a performer and is not bogged down by maintenance problems. You will notice that it was originally used by United, but has been modified for use as a freighter and has been passed around to different companies over the years. Treat her well and she will do anything you ask. The original aircraft by Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper is required.

Bought by Mohawk Airlines on January 10, 1957,
registered N1013C and named "Airchief Erie". Bought
by Fairchild-Hiller Corporation in January 1967.
Bought by Houston Aviation Products in November 1968,
withdrawn from use and stored. Broken up at Houston,
Texas in 1975. Textures and associated model file

First flight of Convair CV-240-0 with cn 80 on July 14, 1948. Delivered to American Airlines on July 23, 1948, registered N94239 and named "Flagship Lake Superior". On August 10, 1964 bought by Trans-Texas Airways. In December 1967 cn 80 was converted to Convair CV-600. N94239 was last spotted at Tucson International (TUS) in a derelict condition in 1986. c/n 43217 delivered to Linee Aeree Italiane (LAI) on 10 May 1950 and registered as I-LOVE. Merged with Alitalia in October 1957 and re-registered in September 1958 as I-DIMT. Leased by CAA in 1963 and returned in 1966. Sold to Aeronautica Militare Italia in 1966 and registered as MM61923. Withdrawn from use in July 1980. Textures only. Prior installation of the Douglas DC-6B CB-16 and DC-6 by Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper at California Classic Propliners is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-7C - repainted by Thorsten Napp and Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-7C base pack with model, sound and panel from calclassic.com.
These textures depict N16465 (c/n 45120) originally delivered to BOAC as G-AOIJ, later served with many freighter companies. Then in 1981 purchased by La Mancha Aire and flown throughout the Caribbean and South America until 1985.
The additional JBM titles stand for Juan B. Millon (later founder of Millonair), to whom the aircraft was leased in 1983
