CSA Czech Airlines 1998 AI Download

File Description:
Czech Airlines(abbreviated to CSA) is the national airline of the Czech Republic and one of the world's oldest surviving air carriers. Having been on the Eastern Side of the "Iron Curtain" during the Cold War, the airline historically operated Russian aircraft. However, by 1998, the airline had transitioned to a Western fleet though 4 Tu-154Ms remained solely preforming charters. All long-haul services were provided by the carriers 2 A310-300s, so most routes were only operated a few days per week at most. As many of the repaints included multiple variations, these flightplans were made to suit the variations. If you wish not to use them, simply assign the same paint to both versions. Included is a texture for the TCAI Tu-154M, links to the other required textures by various authors are included. Flightplans by Vadim Stepanyuk and Chasen Richardson. Vietnam Airlines 1998 Download

File Description:
Vietnam Airlines was the flagship carrier of Southeast Asia in 1998, offering the only longhaul flights in the Vietnam region. The 767-300 was the flagship at the time, serving some major Asian cities as well as Europe and Dubai. A320s did most of the intra-Asia flying while the ATR-72s and Fokker 70s stayed within the Vietnam\Cambodia area. The flightplans called for 1 extra 767 and Fokker 70, and 2 extra ATR-72s which I have segregated in case you wish to delete them. Michael Pearson has done all the paints. I have included a "version 2" or "v2" paint where he has been kind enough to give us 2+ variations for a livery. If you wish, just assign 1 texture to both to save space. I have included the filenames to all the paints in the "Read Me". Flightplans by Chasen Richardson as part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/flightsim98. Antonov An-8 for retro AI Traffic Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Antonov An-8 for retro AI Traffic. The An-8 was a two-engine turboprop transport, used from the 1960s-early 2000s, and was the predecessor of the An-10/12 four-engine transports. This MCX conversion of the FS9 SBAI An-8 model is only compatible with P3Dv4.5-P3Dv5.2. The aircraft models have PBR texturing with dynamic light effects, lua-scripted night lighting, and hard-coded lights and smoke effects. This package includes nine models and 52 repaints focusing on the aircraft during its service life, including many civilian operators. 22 of the paints are mine, and the other 30 are from other authorized sources, listed in the documentation. Models are described in the documentation. Permissions for conversion were kindly given by Sergey Bunevich on behalf of SBAI for the model, and Christian Gold of the Retro AI Traffic Group for most of the repaints. Instructions and extensive credits are in the documentation included in the package. Original aircraft by SBAI, MCX and RADiator utilities by Arno Gerretsen, MCX conversion and select repaints by Michael Pearson.

Avro Lancastrian "Fuerza Aerea Argentina" Pack Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Two different repaints for the Plane Design Lancastrian: B-022 and LV-ZEI.

The Argentinean Air Force had the Avro Lincoln as the main bomber in service, and at least two were transformed to transport versions and called "Avro Type 694 Lincolnian". The modifications were carried out by Avro in England (1948) and consisted of placing the nose and tail cone of the Lancastrian and its celestial navigation cupola.
B-022 was adapted for long distance flights and attached to the Antartic Task Force; this plane was also the first tanker of the FAA, modified to refuel the F-86 Sabres in the air.
LV-ZEI, despite its civilian registration was flown by military pilots and took part in several Antartic campaigns and international flights.

It was only in 1967 when the Lincolns and "Lincolnians" were officially retired from service. Textures only for the Plane Design Lancastrian (availaible at www.plane-design.com). Included in this repaints you'll get a new interior design for the passenger cabin and the cockpit.

Baker Lake CYBK in Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Baker Lake is the only Nunavut community that is not next to the sea. It is, as you might have guessed, on the shore of Baker Lake and 160 miles west and a bit north of Rankin Inlet on the shore of Hudson Bay (a recent post by Sid and Pete). The Hudson Bay Company opened a trading post there in 1916 and the town slowly developed, though as recently as 1946 the population was still only 32. These days the airfield is the support field for several nearby mines and there are now nearly 1,800 folks in Baker Lake using the stores, schools, churches, hospital, etc. The runway is almost 4,200' of 100' wide gravel and lighted; the alignment is 162T and 342T as this is in northern domestic airspace and bearings are given as 'true" and not "magnetic". Both JETA and 100LL fuel is available. The town is to the northeast of the airfield and is made up of a landclass without autogeneration, as this would mean a bunch of trees that would be, to say the least, unrealistic.

"Navy Pensacola SNJ" North American AT-6 (VH-NZH) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts AT-6C/Harvard Mk.IIa VH-NZH, owned/operated by Judy Pay, based at Tyabb Airfield in Australia. This aircraft originated as part of the USAAF contract for AT-6C's and was initially assigned the USAAF serial no. 41-33767, but was completed to a British order as Harvard Mk.IIa EX794. The aircraft was then passed to the Royal New Zealand Air Force, arriving in New Zealand in July 1943, and assigned the RNZAF serial NZ1051. The aircraft remained in the possession of the RNZAF until 1978, but was retired/put into storage as of 1962. The aircraft was acquired in 1978 by a Mr. Nortier of Auckland, NZ, who housed the aircraft until Judy Pay (one of the longtime leading lights of the Australian warbird movement) acquired it in 2001. The aircraft first took the skies again in 2004, following restoration, and is finished in the markings of a 1941-era Pensacola-based SNJ-3.

USAAF PT-17 Stearman (N38940) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-17 N38940, owned/operated by Paul Bennett, based at Priory Farm, Norfolk, England. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 41-8263, and from 1941 until February 1944 the aircraft was used continually, despite being involved in 4 separate training accidents, with a 5th accident taking it out of service althogether. The remains of the aircraft were restored, with the aircraft first flying again in 1977, and later, sold to Paul Bennett in 1992, the aircraft was restored again, to factory-original award-winning condition and finished in the same all-silver color scheme it would have had in 1944. The contrast between the metal and fabric surfaces on this aircraft is period-authentic, as although the fabric surfaces were coated in silver dope, the metal panels were anodized and left bare. Two versions of the repaint are included, with one featuring the temporary 445th Bomb Group tail markings the aircraft sported in 2006.

Project Airlift Royal New Zealand Air Force No. 40 Squadron #0 Download

File Description:
This is Project Airlift's (mis)interpretation of the No. 40 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Only the two 757-200s are included as there is no appropriate AI model for the C-130. At this point in time (May 2003), the RNZAF has only taken delivery of one 757-200 (from United) and will be taking delivery of the other one in the next few months. If it makes you feel better, you can insert one of the flightplans in now and wait until August to insert the other one to better "simulate reality". The two planes visit sites mentioned by the Royal New Zealand Air Force as well as a few "virtual training missions" with the Royal Australian Air Force and other interesting places. Please download the RNZAF bases by PAL Pat Brown and the 757-200 by Cees Melieste (incredibly GPU & eye friendly model by Aardvark). The best way to find any PAL file is by searching the Avsim.com library with "Project Airlift".
