| French Navy Douglas C47-D Flottille 56S nr 87 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This repaint is inspired by the French Navy livery for the C47 D.
It depicts (more or less) the nr 87 at the end of its career with the 52S Flottille.
Discarding her age, she was a reliable workhorse.
These days she doesn't fly any more but she still exists, standing at the entrance of the Nimes Naval base.
As I wanted to give an over-all impression of the bird I aimed my brushes on the outside and to the interior, including the panel and cockpit as well.
Did some additional bumpmapping (editing the normals accordingly the changes to the exterior).
At the last moment found a French crew, willing to fly this bird to you.
Merci beaucoup mes amis.
I hope you`ll all enjoy this skin as much as I enjoyed making it.

| Boeing B-17G (42-102550) |

File Description:
B-17G-55-BO 42-102550 of the 452nd BG. 42-102550 crashed on November 29, 1944, at Charlotte, North Carolina. Icy conditions caused the new B-17 to skid off the end of the runway and come to rest on the Southern Railway tracks as train was approaching. Crew No. 590 of Squadron "S" of the 326th base Unit training pout of MacDill. Irony is they just won "Crew of the Month" so they were allowed to fly anywhere they wanted to, so for their reward, they flew to Charlotte N.C. No injuries, the crew landed long and overran the end of the runway. A great story with a local woman who put a broom in a fire so it could be used to flag down an oncoming train! The plane had to be destroyed to get it off the tracks and the military split up the crew as punishment.

| X2MB - RAF Membury - Berkshire, England |
|
File Description:
RAF Membury (ICAO X2MB) is a former Royal Air Force station built in the civil parish of Lambourn in Berkshire, England. The airfield is located approximately 4.6 miles (7.4 km) mi north-northwest of Hungerford, at the Membury services stop of the M4 motorway; about 60 miles (97 km) miles west-southwest of London. The airfield also lies immediately next to the Iron Age hill fort of Membury Camp.
Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force (RAF) and United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). During the war it was used by several combat units with varying missions. It was also a major supply and maintenance depot. After the war, it was a private airport until the construction of the M4 motorway in the 1960s when it was closed.
Today the remains of the airfield are located on private property with the former technical site now being an industrial estate (Membury Business Park).

| Sukhoi Su-11 'Fishpot-C' |
|
File Description:
The Sukhoi Su-11 was a development of the Su-9 'Fishpot-B' having a new engine, radar
(‘Skip Spin’) and a revised missile armament. It differed also by having only two underwing pylons,
an enlarged 'blown' cylindrical nose section, an enlarged radar cone, and radio-transparent panels
in the fuselage sides to accommodate an extended radar search angle.
The Su-11 served in the Moscow PVO district with the 790th IAP (at Khotilovo) and the
191th IAP (at Efremov). In July 1967, 30 Su-11’s of 790th IAP performed a fly-by at the Domodedovo
Airshow, led by IAP commander I.S.Kuzkin.
Upgraded versions of the Su-11 served well into the 1980s with the Soviet AF, when
it was then replaced in the interceptor role by the MiG-23P, the MiG-23ML and the MiG-25PD.

| 1938 Aeronca K |
|
File Description:
An elegant little princess, the K was the only Aeronca model to survive the catastrophic 1937 flood. It's also my first successful (I think) cabin plane. The K still used the 37 hp engine of the homely model C, but included yoke control in a fully enclosed cabin and provided a more comfortable, much safer and certainly better looking aircraft. The virtual aircraft includes my usual mediocre 2D panel, a VC, standard animation for the type and reflective textures. Doors open with Shift+E. You can toggle the wheelpants on or off with the strobe light key. Also includes U.S. and Canadian versions, and Dave Eckerts' pilot figure. I've optimized for FS9 in that almost all the gauges are FS9 and I've started with an FS9 airfile. PLEASE read the Readme!! Not being the brightest fellow, I've had trouble getting images to appear in the description, use Zipdive to see some in the Zip file.

| BOAC (Test) DH Comet 4 G-APDA |
|
File Description:
There was no prototype of the Comet 4 as such. The unique Comet 3 acted as prototype for some of the testing. The first real Comet 4 acted as the prototype for the definitive version and this aircraft was also the first production machine for BOAC. First flying on 27 April 1958 in this early version of the BOAC livery, it had a diffent cheatline arrangement and slightly different titles, unpainted pods and other details. The gleeming machine had by the time of it's delivery in February the following year been repainted into the familiar variation of the classic BOAC scheme although it did retain the very slightly larger titles. Sold to Malaysian in December 1965 it was transferred to MSA exactly a year later. In November 1969 it was purchased by Dan Air who flew it back to Lasham as a spares source for its Comet fleet. | DA Fokker 70 Panel Controller |
|
File Description:
After flying the DA Fokker 70 and 100 for a while, I realised that not all FS pilots would have access to a programmable joystick that would enable them to assign a button to operate the various pop-up panels in the Fokker, so I thought that a gauge mounted on the flight panel that centralised the controls for the pop-up windows may be a handy addition.
After adding the gauge you will be able to access the following pop-up panels using the mouse from one centralised position on both the Pilot Flying and First Officer the panels.
From left to right the pop-up panels are as follows..
Upper Row
Overhead Upper, Overhead Lower, Pedestal Forward. Pedestal Middle and Pedestal Rear...
Lower Row
Radio Stack, CDU, Doors and Ground Power, Secondary Annunciator Panel, Enlarged Left Hand MFDU
Also included are instructions on how to add the Groundhandling gauge by Rob Barendregt to the Doors and Ground Power panel of the Fokker.

File Description:
Boulder is situated where the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Plains. Just west of the city are imposing slabs of sedimentary stone tilted up on the foothills, known as Flatirons. Located at the base of the foothills is Boulder's main campus of the University of Colarado which is clearly visible from the sky. Longmont is home of the Denver ARTCC (Air Route Traffic Control Center) which controls all flights in the upper airspace of most of Colorado and parts of adjoining states. To explore the scenery depart from Boulder (KBDU) and head northeast. Extends my Rocky Mountain Park scenery to the east and my Denver scenery to the north. Provides another 3.500 sq km in 4.7m/pix quality. High resolution versions for FS9 and FSX (much sharper, but larger and multiple downloads) are available at www.blueskyscenery.com/GNB_East.html . The screenies are taken from the high-res versions, so expect this version to be slightly more blurry. YourDonation@Work: Dedicated to Senges and Eric.
