Cross Keys Airport (17N), NJ Download

File Description:
Located 01 miles S of Cross Keys, New Jersey on 280 acres of land, Cross Keys Airport is a small General Aviation field privately owned by Cross Keys Airport Inc. In addition to servicing GA flights, the airport also hosts a paintball field and a sky diving operation to the north of the field. For this reason, all aircraft must remain south of the runway at all times. Any aircraft with a wingspan larger than 40 feet will need to park in the turf area west of the main apron - smaller GA aircraft can pick a spot from any of the open tiedown areas. 100LL (Blue) Fuel is available by stopping next to the fuel tank on the main apron. Although it doesn't exist in real life, a patch of concrete to the west of the main apron made for a good helipad, so I included one. It is not lit at night. Trees in the surrounding forest are summer trees ONLY. Scenery constructed with use of Google Maps images, and vague recollection by the author who went sky diving there once. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 004. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

FU3 Outer Terrain GTL Tile Editor v2.0 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This spreadsheet allows you to view, edit and save changes to the outer terrain's GTL tiles. Tiles are loaded into a 256x256 grid and the 13 default terrain textures are represented by cell background colours, i.e. the Mesa texture is represented by a reddish-brown background colour. The controls for loading and saving tiles are deliberately located on a separate worksheet. When loading and saving tiles I recommend that you do NOT select the main FU3 GTL Editor worksheet until a message box informs you that the load/save has finished. Otherwise, load/saves times (approx. 30 seconds for an average tile) will increase dramatically if you watch the tile while it is being populated or saved. This 2.0 version also allows you to load a tile's terrain elevation. This is useful because the rules-based approach to modifying the OT was based on altitude constraints and it helps to be able to view the elevation (on the same scale as the tile itself) when modifying the terrain. However, in order to load the elevation you must first load the corresponding GTL tile. There is no provision to modify or save the elevation, because we already have Andre's excellent tools for that. A complete map of the outer terrain's 2296 GTL files (plus Andre's 164 tile extension to the north) is provided in a separate worksheet. This includes a search facility you can use to identify tiles based on FU3 world co-ordinates.

Missions for the USAF F-51D of Flight1 'Sabre Vs MiG' (CFS2) Download

File Description:
Five missions for the USAF F-51D of the "Sabre Vs MiG"add-on of Fligh1.Included Scenery of the main Mustangs base in the Korean war: K-10 Chinhae and a revision of the DP file for the Yak-9. The missions were acomplished in the first days of November 1950 and are quite veridical; geographical, coordinates, units, dates, airfield bases, meteo, squadrons, pilots, etc. No real is the standard Yak-9 supplied by Fligh1. The aircraft paint represent a V-VS(Russian Air Force) fighter with the typical Russian camouflage; actually no Yak-9 were operated with Russian insignias in Korea. The planes, models Yak-9P and Yak-9U, were assigned to the KPAFAC(North Korean Air Force) and flew by crews of this nacionality, his painting scheme was a Russian post-war light blue grey with the KPAFAC roundels under of the wings and in fuselage sides. The pilots were rookies but some success was achieved: one USAF F-80C of the 36 FBS,was shot down the 19-Jul-1950 by one Yak-9(Actually the first Korean war victory of a one piston fighter over a Jet);B-29s,F-51s,F-82s, were others victories of the Yaks in the early phase of the Korean war.V-VS had operated with a few LA-11.I have planned a repaint of the Yak-9 with the real colours of the KPAFAC and eventually convert to flight.

FSX McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F repaint textures for the real world Centurion Cargo N985AR "Frank Fine", but with the freeware version's Pratt and Whitney engines. She is named after the late Miami aviation pioneer Frank Fine, who started in aviation as Agro Air Associates and later lead both Fine Air and Arrow Air. For the freeware SMS Overland MD-11 with P&W 4460 engines, which you must have previously installed in FSX. I installed the freeware (SMS-MD-11_Dutch_Package.zip) with VC which works well with this repaint. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2268 for The B24 Guy's OH Download

File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2268, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #16. Pilot: Lt. William G. Farrow, Co-pilot: Lt. Robert Hite, Navigator: Lt. George Barr, Bombardier: Sgt. Harold Spatz, Engineer/Gunner: Cpl. Jacob DeShazer. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Texture, and Damage Files included. Note the three windows in both port and starboard bulkheads.By revev. Enjoy!

Repulse Bay CYUT in Nunavut Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a scenery that I started in 2013, temporarily abandoned when I found there was a fault in the coastline that reduced it all to straight lines, and then totally forgot about. Until now, when I discovered that while I had made the Repulse Bay terminal building I had mysteriously not made the scenery. Investigation revealed the reason why and here it is with a coastline that has been repaired to the extent that the fault allowed. Repulse Bay has a population of around 1,100 and since 2015 has been officially named Naujaat, the traditional Inuit name. It is located exactly on the arctic circle on the northern extension of the western side of Hudson Bay, in a large bay off the northern tip of Southampton Island. Coral Harbour is on the far side of the island, 180 miles to the south. The airfield is alongside the town and the coast, with the runway 3,400 feet of gravel with PAPI at both ends, aligned 161T-341T with "T" standing for true as opposed to the unreliable magnetic bearing this far north. The regular scheduled flights are by Air Baffin (an Air Nunavut subsiduary), connecting to Iqaluit some 550 miles to the east. The helicopters are there in the summer with their own fuel in drums around their own parking apron. They land directly on the apron, which cannot be replicated in AI, so they are present only as parked choppers and not flying ones.

Chisasibi CSU2 in northern Quebec, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Chisasibi is in northern Quebec on the east shore of James Bay, 60 miles from the corner of James Bay and Hudson Bay. Originally called Fort George and founded at the mouth of La Grande Riviere around the Hudson Bay trading post that was established in 1803, the town had to move 5 miles upstream in 1981 when the Quebec hydro project increased the flow rate of the river. The name was changed to Chisasibi at the time of the move (Chisasibi = Great River in Cree) and the population (750 as early as 1940) has now grown to around 2,000. There is a paved road east to Radisson that connects to the north-south James Bay road, which was built at the time of the hydro project work. The original Fort George airport runway is still visible but not usable, just south of the original town site. Chisasibi airport is to the west of the new town, and the gravel runway is 3,792 feet long and aligned 14/32, which is approximately parallel to the river. There is officially no fuel available, but there is JetA on site for Air Creebec in a tank protected by used fuel drums (filled with sand?). The terminal and the garage building are both relatively new; the terminal dates from 2002 and has unusual touches. There are two AI flights by Air Creebec each day plus other private planes.
