| Asiana Airlines 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
Asiana and Korean Air had full control of the Korean domestic market in 1998 as South Korea's only 2 scheduled airlines, making them appear at the vast majority of Korean airports. 737-500s were exiting the fleet, with only 3 remaining, and the first A321 had just come online. International routes were flown by 747-400 Combis or 767-300s, with several "tag on" routes onward from Seoul. Asiana served many commercial airports in Japan with 737-400s at the time, and is an important part of the Japanese traffic as well. The carrier had 2 737-500s and it's first A321 painted in a special "Experimental Color Scheme"(EC), and this is represented in the flightplans. One 737-500 also remained in a slightly different older livery dubbed as the "1994" colors, while the rest of the fleet had been modified to the "1998" colors. As a BONUS, ranmori has painted the 747-400, 747-400M and 737-400 in the 1994 livery for use with those flightplans, though there is no use for them in these 1998 plans. Repaints included for the FAIB 737-400, 737-500, 767-300, 747-400, and A321. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe, flightplans done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. | Continental Micronesia 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
Continental Mircronesia was Continental's Guam-based Pacific operation. In 1998, CMI had 3 747-200s and 16 727s (10 pax+ 6 flying DHL cargo), and was also using 4 Continental 757s to cover routes from GUM. The 747s mostly fly between NRT/GUM/HNL and spend their down time at the HNL maintenance base, but they also flew charters to OKJ and SDJ which are represented in these plans. The 727s fly all over the Pacific, serving most every large city in Japan as well as TPE, CNS, and the 7-stop GUM-HNL "milk run", flown twice weekly. The cargo plans for the 727s are representitive and also serve much the the Pacific reaching as far as Australia. I created arrival and departure banks most days so the planes often arrive back to GUM in the middle of the night around the same time. The "Micronesia" titles were removed from the last DC-10-30 in March 1998, after which time all DC-10s wore the standard Continental livery as did the 757-200s while using the CMI codes and callsigns. Currently, there is no Continental Micronesia DC-10 AI paint, but links to all relevant paints are included as well as Ranmori Scythe's FAIB 747-200 PW texture. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Images related to this file:
File Description:
Version 3 includes all previous patches and updates. This version also restructures the file system to be fully compatible with the ORBX "FTX Global openLC North America" product as well as adding functionality for default FSX users. Additionally, water class scenery is updated to appear more realistic, MHRO is updated to reflect the newly expanded apron, and SRTMGL1 (30m) mesh is included. All landclass polygons and coastlines were meticulously hand-drawn directly from satellite imagery to provide the most detailed and accurate scenery available for this region.
This project rebuilds the islands of Roatán, Barbareta, Guanaja, and Utila, and adds Cayos Cochinos and the numerous cays associated with the "Islas de la Bahia" (Islands of the Bay). Roatán (MHRO), Guanaja (GJAJ/MHNJ) and Puerto Lempira (MHPL) are completely overhauled and positioning is corrected. New and fully functioning AI airports are added for Utila (MHUT), Fort Cay (MHFC) and Cochino Pequeño (MHCP) of the Cayos Cochinos chain, and La Ceiba (MHLC) is modified to accommodate more AI traffic. Accurate coastlines, lakes, road and river data, as well as corrected landclass are provided based on the latest available satellite imagery. GA flight plans are provided to add or enhance service to the smaller islands. Updates were created or rebuilt in a manner which carefully aligned airport data with current satellite imagery, when available. Scenery was created using Airport Design Editor X v1.70.6042, SBuilderX 3.13, and the FSX Object Placement Tool. Scenery objects were added and modified from stock FSX scenery to resemble as closely as possible the actual airports.

| New Vickers VC10 panel, Part 1 |
|
File Description:
This is part 1 of two downloads.
This project is based on David Maltby's panel for the Vickers VC10, model available here: www.dmflightsim.co.uk/vickers_vc10.htm.
The project's aim is to enhance the cockpit experience by re-activating numerous gauges, switches and lights that previously had no function. It also introduces some new gauges and windows that are not in the original model. And, to bring the cockpit procedures as close as possible to the real checklists. To this end it contains voicechecklist files, a cockpit briefing and interactions with the cabin crew including a safety briefing.
The cockpit instrumentation has also been brought up to date with modern requirements and practices. And, as well as a number of new additional windows there is also a new night cockpit. The checklists are taken from the original BOAC flight manual and are extremely detailed as they are designed for a three man crew! So, as a single "sim" pilot you will be very busy! I have made well over 100+ additions and changes making this a comprehensive update. The original model was very similar to how one drives a car. That is get in, turn on the ignition and drive off!! You will find this update very different as it intentionally brings you much much closer to the reality of handling a high performance heavy jet especially one as complex as the elegant VC10!

| Realistic Boeing 757 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 Sound Pack |
|
File Description:
I am proud to present to you my new realistic and accurate (And probably the most realistic and accurate) Boeing 757 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 sound pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and X. This is intended for use on Project Opensky's models, but should work decent on other freeware and payware 757s in FS. The interior sounds are from a passenger perspective (As if you were in first class). Once you load your aircraft with these sounds, you'll hear the APU System in the cabin. You hear the famous RB211 whistle sound at idle after you have started the engines. You spool up the engines at takeoff and then hear the buzzsaw-like sound of the RB211 engine's fans at full throttle. As you throttle down for climb power the buzzsaw intensifies like on a real plane! Pretty much every engine sound in this sound pack has been recorded from a real RB211-535E4 engine! Once you lift off and put up the landing gear, you will hear a chime from the cabin. It features realistic cockpit sounds like the autopilot deactivation siren, stall clicker, overspeed siren, gear up warning sound buzzer, flaps, rattles and bumps with tire-roll on takeoff/landing, and rattles on touch-down. I am sure that if you are a frequent Boeing 757 aircraft flyer, or if you're a pilot or flight crew on board a RB211-powered 757 aircraft, that you will be very impressed by these sounds! Give this sound pack a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!

| Royal Air Force Dassault Mirage IVK/S |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Royal Air Force Dassault Mirage IVK/S. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for Marcel Dassault's follow-on to the immensely successful Mirage III family. Built in 1959, this aircraft served for over 40 years in the roles of strategic nuclear deterrence and strategic reconnaisance. An original 7-LOD model pays homage to this aircraft in the flightsim world. This package is a speculative study, if you will, of the might-have-been progression of this aircraft. The RAF expressed interest in the Mirage IV in the 1960s, but re-engined with the Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan which powered their versions of the F-4 Phantom II. Additionally, exploration was made to use technology from the unsuccessful BAC TSR project for the RAF Mirage IV. This package represents two variants, the Mirage IVK, essentially the IVA with RR Spey engines; and the Mirage IVS, the more re-designed aircraft incorporating some of the BAC TSR technology. Ultimately, this proposed variant did not become reality. In addition to the RAF, Israel, India, and France expressed interest, so paints from all four countries are included. Loadouts are generous, covering heavy strategic bombing, electronic warfare, precision strike, and the original nuclear and recce configurations. In total, there are 32 models and 50 repaints in this package. Lastly, I am including layered Photoshop paint kits for all variants in this package. Original aircraft model, flight dynamics, some effects, and textures by Michael Pearson; tremendous amounts of help from Michael MacIntyre and Frank Safranek.

| McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II (Version 2)- Part 1 of 2 |

File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II (Version 2)- Part 1 of 2. This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This revised model set is what I originally envisioned when I undertook the modification of Nick Black's F-4E source files. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains early, middle, and late F-4D base models; as well as the no-IRST and LORAN-equipped variants. The six main aircraft variants include a total of 45 loadout options, and a whopping 100 repaints representing these aircraft in service with the USAF (plus ANG and AFRES); as well as the South Korean and Iranian air forces. I have also included a layered Photoshop paint kit for repainters. Of particular note, I have taken great pains to ensure that virtually every USAF/ANG/AFRES line unit is represented in some time period. This project properly updates my comprehensive (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.
