| Prince George CYXS in British Columbia, Canada |
|
File Description:
Prince George is centrally located in British Columbia, mid way between the border with the USA in the south and the northern border with the Northern Territories, and around 100 miles west of the eastern border with Alberta. The town now has a population of around 74,000 and is regarded as the province's northern capital. It is at the meeting point of the Fraser and Nechako rivers and the crossroads of highways 16 and 97. It started out as Fort George in the early 1800's when a trading post was established by the Northwest Company, serviced by paddle boats on the rivers. The railway arrived in the area in 1914 and growth continued, albeit slowly due to wars and the financial collapse of the 1930's. Timber and timber products were and still are the mainstay of the area, along with a military and governmental presence.
The date for this scenery is around 2010. I have made some new buildings from memory and the available information online. They are not totally accurate reproductions; for instance I know that the terminal building is brick faced and also has parts that are stone (or metal?) faced, but where? So I used brick everywhere. The control tower is also brick faced, but is not exactly the right shape. The airport management team have continued to grow the activity and services provided with the result that flights and passenger numbers continue to increase. The 15-33 runway was lengthened to the south, (in the period 2003 to 2005) from the original FS9 scenery 7,400 feet to my updated 11,450 feet with central lighting and ILS at the northern end. This made it the third longest runway in Canada. At the same time a loading/unloading cargo area was created with professionally run storage and also a large scale refueling storage. If DHL want to refuel their 737 then they can do so without making prior arrangements.
The AI included here is for Air Canada Jazz and an Air Canada 737, Westjet 737 and Dash8, a helicopter company that is based there, Pacific Coastal, Central Mountain Air, and GA. The range of airlines and planes reflects the "northern capital" status of the town.

| Southern Cross Fokker FVII/3m. |
|
File Description:
FSX / FS2004 Southern Cross Fokker FVII/3m.
The 'Southern Cross' made the first crossing of the Pacific Ocean by an aircraft, flown by Charles Kingsford-Smith and a crew of three. They took off from Oakland, California on May 31, 1928, and arrived at Brisbane, Australia on June 19. The Southern Cross was, at the time, even more famous than Charles Lindberg's 'Spirit of St. Louis'. The Southern Cross is preserved today at Brisbane Airport. This package includes the aircraft model and ready-made flights you can use to recreate the 1928 experience. Improved version 2 model, modified to work with FSX as well as FS2004. By Jens B. Kristensen

| Amelia Earhart 1937 World Flight Commemorative |
|
File Description:
The mystery of Amelia Earhart's disappearance in 1937 during her World Flight has never been solved. On 2 July 1937, with 19,000 NM behind her, she left Lae, New Guinea for tiny Howland Island in the central Pacific Ocean, a 2224 NM flight over open water. She and navigator Fred Noonan never arrived. This world flight commemorates their attempted world flight. Three Flight Options are offered and descriptive notes are included. This commemorative is designed to be flown with the excellent FSDB Lockheed L10E Electra, as customized by Dave Bitzer and Norman Hancock. Other aircraft can be used, though with less realism. A recommended reading list is also included.

File Description:
December 5th 1945: The war in the Pacific made the topography of the Bahamas with its unlimited landmarks, ideal for advanced over water navigation exercises. Like all others training daily out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Flight 19 was to perform a fairly simple navigation problem. At 14:10 that afternoon 5 Avenger Torpedo Bombers departed the Station and never made it back. File includes aircraft (CFS2 default AI Avenger converted for Fs2002 and packaged to fit the flight), flight weather(local-global) based on descriptions and map of navigation problem No1 available to pilot at all times from panel via SWIFT+3. The pandas are part of an education and conservation program between China and the United States. I think these to bears are at the Memphis Zoo. Tail number N583FE. I labor 16 hours to get this close to photo real. I guess its okay. I am going to use it in my simulator. I did this repaint for me, and I am sharing it with you guys.

File Description:
Repaint of the 737-300 ZK-NGD as operated real-world by Air New Zealand for the Wilco B737 PIC v2 Evo model in FSX. Includes lots of tweaks to the default repaint kit to add custom details found on the ANZ aircraft and add some more realistic weathering and panel/join detail. Air New Zealand are steadily 'modernising' their livery on the 733s to remove whats known as the "Pacific Wave", a two-tone green/blue wave pair on the forward section of the fuselage. I've included textures for this older Wave version as well as the contemporary one that does not have them.

File Description:
A full AFCAD remodel of The Clark International airport in the Philippines. Requested through our Facebook page. AI Traffic supported well, version 2 will be more accurate and detailed. Clark serves the general vicinity of Greater Manila Area, along with the northern regions of Luzon. It is currently a hub for AirAsia Philippines, Cebu Pacific and South East Asian Airlines. The airport mainly serves low-cost carriers. The name is derived from the former American Clark Air Force Base which was the largest overseas base of the United States Air Force until it was closed in 1991 and handed over to the Government of the Philippines.

| "Heave Ho" AT-6 Texan (N4086T) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts AT-6D 42-86068, registered as N4086T, which was restored and is owned/operated by Pacific Fighters, the warbird restoration company. The aircraft is painted in the historically accurate markings of a squadron 'hack' used by the 355th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Group (Pioneer Mustang Group), based in England and mainland Europe during WWII. According to original 355th pilots, the aircraft was used for liquor runs, to fly pilots and ground crew on leave (likely into London or Paris), and providing rides for various ground personnel. The repaint was created using the A2A product paintkit.
