RNAS Anthorn (HMS Nuthatch) - Cumbria, UK Download

File Description:
This scenery is a representation of RNAS Anthorn (HMS Nuthatch) prior to runway and taxiway upgrades completed in 1948. It is not 100% accurate and no claim is being made that it is. The scenery was made using ADE and is intended for use in FSX along with Horizon GenX VFR scenery but should work ok in Basic FSX.

Some History: Anthorn air field (also known as RAF Anthorn, RNAS Anthorn and HMS Nuthatch) was an airfield approximately 430 KM north-northwest of London The airfield was built in february 1918 as a Fleet Air Arm (FAA) airfield. It was abandoned after World War I ended, however. The RAF reinstated the airfield at the beginning of World War II as an emergency landing ground for nearby RAF Silloth. The site was taken over by the Royal Navy in December 1942, and renamed the site RNAS Anthorn. It was commissioned in September 1944 as 'HMS Nuthatch'. The airfield served as No. ARDU (Aircraft Receipt and Dispatch Unit), a unit that accepts aircraft from their manufacturers and prepares them for operational use.
The last official flight took off from the airfield in November 1957. It was then put on Care and Maintenance, before it closed down in March 1958. In 1961 the site was chosen to become a NATO VLF transmitting site for communicating with submarines. Construction of the site, by Continental Electronics of Dallas, U.S.A., began in 1962. The station was accepted on behalf of the MoD in November 1964.

KLM Douglas DC-3 pre-war Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. FS2004 KLM Douglas DC-3 pre-war textures.

Before and after World War II, KLM was a major European operator of the Douglas DC-3. The first DC-3, PH-ALI 'Ibis', entered service with KLM in October 1936. This made KLM the first operator of the DC-3 in Europe.
22 others would join before Nazi-Germany invaded the Netherlands on 10 May 1940 and occupied the country for five dark years. Those DC-3's present at Amsterdam-Schiphol, if not destroyed by bombs, were impounded by the Germans. Other DC-3's that happened to be elsewhere out of reach of the enemy found their way either to the Dutch East Indies where they served on the KNILM routes until the Japanese invasion in February 1942, or to England where they were leased by BOAC for the London (later Bristol) to Lisbon service.
Both PH-ALI 'Ibis' and PH-ARW 'Wulp' moved to England. Unfortunately they did not survive World War II. The 'Wulp' was destroyed in November 1940 when Bristol got bombed by the German Luftwaffe. The 'Ibis' was shot down by Junkers Ju-88's on 1 June 1943 over the Bay of Biscay.

The repaints of PH-ALI and PH-ARW are based on the templates Mark Beaumont created for the MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3 (passenger version), which were based on Jan Visser's original textures. These are textures only. You will require MAAM-SIM's great donationware Douglas R4D/DC-3 package. Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

KLBB - Lubbock Preston Smith Intl - Texas V3.0.1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Lubbock is another one of those little known, neglected airports that populate the FS world. Avery simple airport, LBB somewhat feels like a little DFW. There is a very DFW-ish main terminal with fewer than 10 gates and plenty of space to grow. The only mainline service is courtesy Southwest, but several RJ's freqent Lubbock several times per day along with the big freighters. This airport was built from the ground up with excellent detail, and because of the sparse traffic, frame rates are excellent as well. V2.0 Update: Recently, Lubbock has moved their east-west runway 8/26 roughly 1000 feet to the East so as to eliminate runway incursions by separation from the north-south runway 17R-35L. Version 2.0 reflects this modificaton. Several taxiways have been removed or modified, and airport fencing has been altered to reflect the change. V3.0 Update: This update fixes some major errors mainly on the West side of the airport. The cargo ramp and some of the GA parking had been found to be located in the wrong positions. They have been relocated and rebuilt to match GoogleEarth images. Also, the afcad has been updated to line up with these changes along with airline parking updates at the main terminal. All the jetways have been replaced with more accurate representations, and they have also been adjusted to match their current real world positioning. v3.0.1 update: There was a missing scenery library that has been added to the download, so now the jetways will appear if they had not before.

AerMacchi C.205 VELTRO (Greyhound) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Macchi C.205 (also known as MC.205,"MC" standing for "Macchi Castoldi") Veltro (Italian:Greyhound) was an Italian World War II fighter aircraft built by the Aeronautica Macchi.

The C.205 was a development of the earlier C.202 Folgore. With a top speed of some 400 mph and equipped with a pair of 20 mm cannon as well as 12.7 mm Breda machine guns, the Macchi C.205 Veltro was highly respected by Allied and Luftwaffe pilots alike. Regarded as the best Italian aircraft of World War II, in action it proved to be extremely effective, destroying a large number of Allied bombers and capable of successfully clashing on equal terms with such renowned fighters as the North American P-51D Mustang, but, although the C.205 was able to match the best Allied opponents in speed and manoeuvrability, it was introduced late in the conflict. Moreover, due to the poor Italian industrial capability of the time, only a small production run was delivered before the end of the war.

Italy's highest scoring ace, Adriano Visconti, achieved 11 of his 26 credited victories in the few weeks he was able to fly the Veltro, with the top scoring 205 Sergente Maggiore pilota Luigi Gorrini shooting down 14 enemy aircraft plus six damaged with the C.205.

VC only. GMax Models and Skins by Manuele Villa & Italianwings, Flight dynamics by Manuele Villa & Kikko Zanaboni. It also works (Tested), subject to some limitations, within FSX. By Manuele Villa/MVG3D, September 2012.

Sky Lease Cargo McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F (N950AR) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FSX McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F repaint textures for the real world Sky Lease Cargo N950AR. Miami based Sky Lease Cargo is affiliated with Centurion Cargo and Cielos Airlines. This aircraft shares many of the features of Centurion Cargo's liveries, with subtle differences in the logo, and not so subtle differences in that Sky Lease utilizes the same large fuselage lettering style seen on Centurion Cargo's aircraft. For the freeware SMS Overland MD-11 with P&W 4460 engines, which you must have previously installed in FSX. I installed the (SMS-MD-11_Dutch_Package.zip) with VC which works well with this repaint. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

RAF Welford (ICAO X1WL) is an active Royal Air Force station in Berkshire, England. The airfield is located approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of Newbury; about 50 miles (80 km) west-southwest of London. It opened in 1943 and was used during the Second World War by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces. During the war it was used primarily as a transport airfield. UHPP - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport - Kamchatka Krai, Russia *Fix - Version 2* Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The payware scenery "Kamchatka - The Lost World" is designed by "RU Scenery Design" and distributed by Aerosoft. You need this scenery to use this file.
Developers unfortunately are not installing the AFD file properly and itself misses some important information. This fix improves the scenery Afcad file with new features and adds night lighting which by default is not enabled. It was developed in P3D (Prepar3D) 3.1 containing ORBX FTX Global Sceneries but is compatible with FSX as well. The scenery is improved with windsocks, PAPI lights, new taxiway runway and approach lighting, new parking positions according to official charts and taxiway signs that are not available in the original scenery.

Cpmpatible with both FSX and P3D.
