Alta circling approach

File Description:
The old circling approach for runway 30 at Alta, Norway (ENAT) is a challenging approach. I don't think it is used anymore, but it was still in use during the 1980:s and perhaps even into the 1990:s when SAS flew DC-9 i northern Norway. During the approach you fly a circle, following lights in the terrain and keeping track of the altitude. Included in this zip-archive are the bgl-files for the lights and the old approach plates for Alta. Recommended additional installations are Norway airports and Norway Mesh. Happy flying!

Incorrect home page fix for FSX: Steam Edition: Version 2

File Description:
Revised for September 14th 2018, I compiled a fix for FSX: Steam Edition. As the Home page in FSX:SE itself directed to the old Fsxinsider webpage address and was not found. The file inside of this zip folder replaces the old one and I have included the original file as well, for backup purposes. Readme is included and is an easy copy and paste gshome.spb which belongs in the Dialogs folder, which is in the main FSX folder. It works for FSX: Steam Edition only. Eyes to the skies!

Belfast Aldergrove (EGAA)

File Description:
Belfast Aldergrove is a joint civil and military aerodrome 18 miles NW of Belfast. The civil airport (now known as Belfast International) is the main passenger airport in the Province and handles practically all air cargo. RAF Aldergrove is the only remaining military airfield in Ulster. Details at http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafaldergrove.

This AFCAD file corrects many of the inaccuracies of the FS2004 default airport. The corrections are based on information from the aerodrome chart, Google Earth, and personal observations. None of the changes are strictly accurate to scale. An apron area for helicopters and the occasional RAF transport aircraft has been provided for the military base. The cargo area has also been enlarged and parking provided for up to eight aircraft. Additional parking places have also been provided on the main passenger apron and on the GA apron off taxiway A. A holding area adjacent to taxiway C near the threshold of Rwy 17 has been removed. Various other improvements have been made to taxiways and holding areas on the military side of the airfield. Much of the original base is now disused hence the large number of closed taxiways.

Ghana Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Ghana Airways was only 6 years from the end of a long history in 1998. A pair of DC-9-51s flew around West Africa, sometimes on 6-stop flights, while the 2 DC-10-30s(one of which was still in the old livery) flew to New York and the 3 routes remaining in Europe. Though based in ACC, ABJ seems to have had more flights and destinations from the DC-9s. One of the DC-9s was destroyed in a crash landing 2 years later and the airline never recovered, shutting down in 2004. A single Fokker 27-600 was operated by the Ghana Air Force as "Ghana Link", a regional subsidiary of Ghana Airways, in full Ghana military colors. I have included that aircraft with representative domestic flights as flights were not listed on the schedule. Links to repaints included. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Boeing B-17G 'Little Patches'

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) for the Donationware B-17G Late from FighterTown Design Group. You can get it here for a great price!! www.donationware.net Thank you FDG for providing this great plane!! Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints. This texture represents "Little Patches" one of the B-17G Flying Fortresses of the 91st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. The 91th BG, one of the more famous groups in the Eighth Air Force. "The Ragged Irregulars" were based at Bassingbourn, England. "Little Patches" The name "Little Patches" was acquired after the aircraft's first combat mission with Lt William Major's crew when Frankfurt flak put many splinters through the ship. The damage was primarily cosmetic but the skin required numerous small aluminium patches prompting Lt Major to name the ship.

WLP-HQ

File Description:
WLP HQ is a basic simple scenery. It's a fictous bush-airport and camp in northern Tanzania, just west of the famous Lake Natron. WLP stands for "Wild Life Protection". WLP is a fictous project and is refering to J.T. Chance's latest adventure novel. Max Stein, a bushpilot and adventurer, is hunting down smuggling and illegal hunting gangs. This project stands for a complete new approach by making the reader a part of the story ... kind like interactiv action if you will say so. The book invites you to fly it's hero adventures in your flightsim, therefore you got maps, flightplans and so on with the book. (No need for a specific flightsim version.) WLP HQ is the main base of these operations. You'll take over from there and you follow the storyline on your own yoke. There is no need to download any further files to do so. This scenery is freeware of course, the adventure may be purchased (inexpensive paper-back or even cheaper PDF download) on lulu.com

File Description:
Udine Friuli Venezia Giulia Italy N46.3.85 E13.14.19. The city is located in the center of the Friuli region. It is just over 20 km from Slovenia and about 54 km from Austria. This puts it in a strategic position, at the intersection of the East-West European Corridors (Corridor V or Mediterranean) and North-South (Via Iulia Augusta, now recognized by the European Union as part of the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor) , on the way to Austria and to Eastern Europe. It rises in the high plains, around an isolated hill (according to the legend built by Attila to admire the fire that he himself caused to the city of Aquileia, but in reality is formed by conglomeratic rocks more than 100,000 years old), on top of which the castle is located, a few kilometers from the hilly belt, and is bordered by the Cormor torrent to the west and the Torre torrent to the east. Important VFR point for approaching airport Trieste Ronchi dei Legionari (LIPQ) and airporto Udine Boscomantico (LIPD). ResampleTools V.095Beta

File Description:
ResampleTools is a great little utility that helps you automate the import of Mesh or Photo Real scenery into Flight Simulator 200x. The interface is a simple 4 or 6 step wizard depending on what you are importing and the information you have about your source files. FS Resample Tools can help you determine the extents of your bitmap source if you don't already know them (all four corners in degrees) and will also determine the CellX and CellY sample or pixel width from those corner extents among others. This is a beta version and there will be no more updates as work on this tool stoped a while ago but the author has been kind enough to allow distribution to all who might enjoy using it,(note: this may have been replaced by Elronds "imagetool" also available soon in this library). Works with FS2000/FS2002 and FS2004.

File Description:
Painted in Air Canada Vintage Colours on a Boeing 747-400M Combi registrated as C-GAGL, which was painted in the old 1990 scheme before being retired from Air Canada's fleet in the early 2000s. Features Shine, Dirt effects, Photoreal Windows, Accurate paint. Painted on Project Opensky's Boeing 747-400V4 model, with Service pack 2 installed.

DC-8 Performance Charts - series 40 (RR Conway), 50 (JT3D3), 61 (JT3D3) and 63 (JT3D7)

File Description:
These are scans from an old Air Canada DC-8 manual. The charts include hard-to-find takeoff thrust settings for the Rolls Royce Conway engines on the DC-8-40 series. Also includes stabiliser settings for takeoff, and 'Turbulence Penetration Speed (IAS) and Level Flight EPR' tables. Big thanks to Herman Kreimes who provided the manual for scans.
