Due to the lack hangers and building with the default scenery for Nellis AFB., I made this Scenery using EZ-Scenery and google earth to place hangers and building in the proper area to the best of my ability. I'm not a scenery designer so I used objects from several packages from MAIW. There are no textures in this file. File Description:
The USS Macon (ZRS-5) was a 785 foot long flying aircraft carrier. She and her sister (the USS Akron) were the largest of the famous USN rigid airships (dirigibles), and carried up to five fighters on board. Commissioned on 11 March 1933, the Macon was tragically lost at sea on 11 February 1935 during a storm while returning to her home air base at NAS Sunnyvale, California. You MUST read the "Read Me First" file. If you do not take the time to read and understand the information given on how to fly the USS Macon you will be very disappointed. you will be unable to fly her. FSX ONLY!

File Description:
A "What if" repaint of a USMC RAZBAM Convair F/A-201A Kestrel assigned to the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program (SFTI program) NAS Miramar, better known as TOPGUN !! This is the second of the Topgun series, this time with three different green colors and yes, those are very hard to distinguish.
But only if the Kestrel ever made it beyond the drawing board, and was selected instead of a version of the YF-17 wich evolved as to the well known F/A-18A Hornet.
For this repaint you need a legal copy of the RAZBAM F/A-201A Kestrel.

cfs2/Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat Mk-I RAF Fleet Air Arm E-F Serial #JV-???.This aircraft (serial number unknown) was part of the 800 NAS aboard the HMS Emperor in mid 1944. The new generation "Cat" provided the 800 Squadron aircrews with a superior air carrier fighter. The HMS Emperor was to become the eyes of the admiralty in flying strike aircover and artillary spotting thtoughout Operations Overlord and Dragoon. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model. Note black and white invasion stripes on fuselage and upper and lower main wing surfaces. Code letters are red, outlined in white. Complete Texture Folder with all texture and damage files included. An AI aircraft package - FS9 and FSX.
Four texture sets of the Lockheed P-3 aircraft operated by VXN-8. These paints represent P-3s BuNo 158227, "Paisano Tres" (Roadrunner) PROJECT MAGNET, BuNo 149667 "El Coyote" PROJECT SEASCAN, BuNo 150500 'Arctic Fox' PROJECT BIRDSEYE, and BuNo 150527 "Tasmanian Devil" WORLD TRAVELER.
TEXTURES ONLY - You must have the MAIW JAI P-3C model already installed.
The textures are in .dds DXT3 format for FSX and .blg DXT3 format for FS9.
AI traffic flight plans for both FS9 and FSX provided.
The JAI P-3C is available in the 'NAS Patuxent River Complete AI Package' available from the MAIW website and at AVSIM (maiw_pax_river.zip).
