Tips and Tricks - Number 16. This issue has somewhat of an International flavor to it as several items we are reviewing have come to us from distant shores. Our readers have again provided a number of very useful Tips and recommendations. Also included are the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. In addition, there is a "from the E-mailbag" department where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. We have also included a little something for the "kids" (of all ages). Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

| Boeing 737-700W "Halloween" |

File Description:
This is a purely fictional paint of the Kittyhawk 737-700 winglet model. The livery was inspired by the up and coming Halloween (hence the name of the plane). It has been painted in great detail and is primarily "photorealistic". All textures have been created in 32 bit to enhance the graphics on the plane and they comprise many many layers to create the effects on the plane, especially the Tail Fin. It is a complete plane and no other files are required to install or fly her. I would recommend a more realistic 737 panel and sound set though. Installation, Distribution Limitations and contact details for me are included in the General Read Me file. Should you experience ANY issues with this plane please contact me as soon as possible. FS2004 Flight Plan for OB-18 Junta Colorado (New) IFR high speed low altitude military training route. This is the seventh in a series of FS2004 flight plans I have uploaded. This route goes through flat and rolling terrain in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. These are great routes for B-52, F-111, B-1B, B-2 A6, A4, Vulcan and any fighter or bomber enthusiasts. Of course you can fly the route with any aircraft of your choice. Included in this package is a gauge by Karol Chlebowski for TFR flying at very low altitude. This gauge will greatly enhance your ability to fly these challenging routes and is a great companion of the flight plans. Another option to download Version 2.0 of my FS2004 mini panel which has all this functionality and more.

This is my rendition of XV741 with tailcode "I" flown by 233 OCU , RAF Wittering circa 1988 .XV741 was the fourth production Harrier and took part in the Transatlantic Air Race in 1969. Modifications include panellines , rivets , squadron badge on flying suit , changed colour of helmet , changed number on GPU and added new bump & spec maps ( where needed ) .
There are however certain limitations with the texture mapping , for example the rear section of the main fuselage is only shown once in the paintkit,so the camouflage pattern is mirrored .One of the flaps is also mirrored above and below the wing,so all camouflage using Light Aircraft Grey undersides aren't shown correctly..The fuel tank has the same problem as certain sections are also mirrored.The camera was only mounted on the port side of the nose,not port and starboard.

Meridiana S.p.A. operating as Meridiana, is an entirely private capital Italian airline with its headquarters in Olbia - Costa Smeralda Airport (Sardinia, Italy). It also is the second largest carrier in Italy and operates domestic and European services as well as intercontinental flights. Airbus A320-214 "EI-EZR". Meridiana fly's livery painted on Project Airbus's Airbus A320-214 aircraft. The textures are saved in 32bit format for quality graphics. Its features are idle-reverser animation, animated pack vents and pressurisation outflow valve, detailed textures, accurate paint, dynamic shine & effects, dynamic flexing wings that respond to turbulence, fully independent suspension, trim animation, gear steering, accurate flight dynamics, spoiler animation, reflective cockpit windows, improved wingflex code with input from several new parameters including ground spoilers, fuel load, and angle of attack, transparent navigation light lenses and many more. This Zip-file includes a repaint of the D-HBWH, witch is courently flying for Air-LLOYD (Deutsche Helicopter Flugservice GmbH)
The helicopter is a MBB BO105CBS-5 [c/n S-929, Baujahr 1997] with short rotorhead.
The Helicopter is Used for detecting leaks in gas lines in Germany. For this operation there are several build in sensors of the ADLARES system (gas detecting by laser measurement )mounted on the Helicopter
Within this Repaint you get an new Airfile with more realistic Flight-Dynamics.
The Repaint based on the BO 105 by Güther Krämer and should work with FS2004 and FS2002

I am quite proud to present this detailed repaint of the PMDG Beechcraft B1900D of Air New Zealand link (operated by Eagle Airways) in the very popular 'All Blacks' livery, registration ZK-EAG. This repaint is 'New Zealand tested' and 'New Zealand approved', and the accuracy was possible thanks to a talented and supportive fellow simmer in New Zealand, Grayson Ottaway, to who I dedicate this repaint. He provided photos and invaluable input as he has seen this aircraft firsthand. So, all the surfaces are painted as accurately as the model permits. All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps. I hope you enjoy flying this great aircraft around the magic land that is New Zealand. This is a textures only package. You must own the PMDG Express B1900D to enjoy this repaint. See readme.txt file for details.

File Description:
This is package includes nearly every international, class 1, and class 2 domestic airports (that have not been made in FSX) in the Philippines (36 altogether). Changes include:
-Changed runway surfaces, lengths, widths, markings, blastpads, overpads etc.
-Added many gates/parking spots for AI traffic
-Added many buildings/terminals/control towers
-Added many new taxiways
-Added many new aprons
All changes are based of the latest google earth imagery and google image photos to make it look more like the actual airport.
These airports are mostly served by PALex, Philippine Airlines, Cebpac, Air Asia Phili, Air Asia Zest, and Skyjet.
I hope this makes your domestic flying experience in FSX better eliminating many runway only airports. A full list of Airports is located at the "Airports.txt" inside this file.

File Description:
Wunstorf Air Base was originally opened in 1936 for the National Socialist Luftwaffe. Like most German airfields it did arduous duty during the Second World War. When the allies finally concluded their occupation the field was eventually returned to German control and hosted it's first German transport unit flying the Nord Atlas. This aircraft was replaced in 1971 with the current Transall 160 aircraft. With the recent adoption of the Airbus A400M by the Luftwaffe, Wunstorf is undergoing some significant remodeling including lengthening of runway 8-26 as well as construction of two new modern hangars and associated support buildings. This scenery is intended to be used with the great Transall 160 package by Ray Parker (available at Avsim.net as (gaf_c-160_transall.zip) but will of course accomodate any aircraft and is in itself a complete scenery package.
