Spitfire BM124 Finucane Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This repaint is for the A2A Wings of Power 3 Spitfire MkIIb and represents the Spitfire Mk.Vb BM124 LO-W 602 Sqn (City of Glasgow. Queen Salote, an aircraft flown by Wing Commander Brendan Eamonn Fergus Finucane. Known as Paddy Finucane, he was an Irish Royal Air Force fighter pilot, who was a high scoring Second World War flying ace claiming 26 victories, plus six shared and was the RAF's youngest Wing Commander in its history. He was killed at the age of 21 on 15 July 1942, when he was leading the Hornchurch Wing in a fighter "Ramrod" operation targeting a German army camp at Etaples, France. Photographs show the plane was incorrectly named "Queen Of Salote" but were later altered by scratching out the word "Of" on the negatives in an effort to correct this.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vb EP829 T-N, the aircraft of Squadron Leader Joseph Lynch, the CO of No 249 squadron, based in Malta 1943. Sqn Ldr Lynch was an 'Eagle' squadron veteran, originally from California, and he became an ace flying this aircraft, shooting down 4 JU52's, a JU88 and a Caproni CA313. One of the JU52's was the 1000th axis aicraft destroyed by Malta's defences. Lynch later joined the USAAF, with a final score of 10 aircraft destroyed and 7 shared. File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire Vc MK578 4Z was flown by Lt Robert Doyle, US Navy between June 1st and June 26th 1944 over Normandy. He was part of Observation Squadron 7 (VOS-7) (or VCS-7), a United States Navy artillery observer aircraft squadron based in England during Operation Overlord. The squadron was assembled expressly to provide aerial spotting for naval gunfire support during the invasion of Normandy. Personnel and aircraft were assembled on 1 June 1944 and began flying missions on 6 June 1944. The squadron was disbanded when Allied capture of the town of Cherbourg ended naval bombardment responsibilities on 26 June 1944. De Havilland DH-98 Mosquito 139 Sqn XD-Q Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DK291 XD-Q of 139 Squadron RAF. Q for Queenie was the aircraft flown by Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema, while he was serving with 139 squadron. Hazelhoff had one of the more exciting careers during WW II, starting as a law student in Leiden, writing the pamphlet that caused the closure of the university by the Germans, escaping to England on board a Swiss(!) ship, returning to the Netherlands as a secret agent, later joining the RAF and flying 72 missions in Mosquitos and ending the war as Queen Wilhelmina's aide. DK291 was an aircraft that flew with 139 twice, though I am not sure it actually flew as XD-Q. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Dave Garwood.

The New England Military AI Aircraft and Airbase Collection Part 4 Download

File Description:
The New England Military AI Aircraft and Airbase Collection name for our FS2002/FS2004 add-on package says it all. The first three parts of this four part package contain two custom repaints and custom AI air and cfg files for the aircraft flown by the ten major military flying units in New England. In order to use them you will also need to download the base aircraft, repaint and add-on packages of the original creators that allowed us to use their work and whom, though too numerous to mention here, are all acknowledged in the included ReadMe file. The fourth part of this package contains original custom AFCAD2 files, traffic source files and a traffic.bgl file to be used with these military AI aircraft and their airbases. By Michael MacIntyre, Dave O'Brien and Wing Ng."

Langley Park Western Australia V1 Download

File Description:
Langley Park is the centre for a bi-annual fly in for light aircraft where up to 100 aircraft come from all over Australia. The grass field is usually the home for soccer, hockey and cricket and once a year, Rally Australia. They build a racetrack there and pull it down every year. Experience flying in through the City of Perth to the strip. Well here it is so you can now fly in any day of the year! Take off and landing circuit over the river. It includes a grass runway, and some of the immediate surrounding Perth scenery. This scenery was made using freeware Airport 2.9 Build 26 and if installed as instructed will not alter your scenery.cfg. Thanks to Steve James for his advice. Textures if required are included. Made by Alan Blencowe January 2003.

Boeing 727-200 Realistic Flight Dynamics Package v2.00 Download

File Description:
Realistic flight dynamics package for all FFX/SGA GMax freeware Boeing 727-200's. Six different weight configuration file sets included along with easy installation instructions. There are several improvements and changes in these files from my last flight dynamics file upload - the most notible being changes in high-altitude, high-speed performance, and flap performance. These files are the result of hundreds of hours of intensive design work and provide the best and most realistic B727-200 flight simulation available anywhere. Files are designed for any panel application, but work best with Richard Probst's FS2002 autothrottle panel (rp727pn4.zip). Files simulate the use of the P&W JT8D-17R engine w/autothrottle and autospoiler. Every parameter of B727-200 flight performance is modeled. Several notes on realistically flying the B727-200 are also included. Built in cooperation with Richard Probst.

Tips and Tricks - Part 12 - "Mid-Summer 2005 Issue" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Tips and Tricks - Part 12 - Mid-Summer 2005 edition. I had not planned on another issue until the Fall but there are just too many good things to share so here we are again. In this issue you will find several valuable "How-To's", links to a number of useful sites, and much, much more. Of special interest is a section dealing with the RWY12 Object Placer program. If you have bored kids or grandkids visiting during the summer, there is a recommendation they will enjoy too! This is also the first issue to include updated indexes in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.
