Vidsel (ESPE) version 2

File Description:
This scenery makes the Vidsel base (ESPE) functional in FS2004 and FSX by adding taxiways, taxiway signs, aprons, parking stands, buildings and navaids. The Vidsel base, or RFN (Missile Test Site North) as it is officially called, was inaugurated in 1958, and the first mission was to test missiles for the Draken fighter aircraft. The base remained secret until the mid 1960s, and today it is still used by the Swedish Armed Forces as well as foreign air forces to test missiles in the largest test range in Europe. Version 2 adds additional backup runways, known as "short runways", which are spread about on highway strips around the base.

Easy Terrain Editing Tutorial

File Description:
Welcome to this tutorial about modifying terrain data. This tutorial will show you a short and easy way to modify the terrain to get a more realistic look in MS Flight Simulator 2002 and 2004. The area with this workshop is the island Ibiza in the West Mediterranean Sea with its small neighbor island Formentera. The modifications are based on the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data products, available for download. Everything needed is explained here, step by step and kept as simple as possible. You will work with SRTM To BGL v1.04 (by Matthew Styles, thank you Matthew) and SRTMFill (by 3dnature) - both tools are freeware and available for dowload.

F6F-5 Hellcat Minsi III CVG-15

File Description:
cfs2/Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat Minsi III CVG-15, BuNo. 70143, USS Essex, October 25, 1944. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhauled Model. Pilot: Commander David McCampbell. As commander of Air Group 15, McCampbell was able to fly his assigned aircraft on almost every mission. Minsi III lasted longer than any of his other Minsis. In December of 1944, this plane was lost in an accident while being flown by McCampbell's replacement.This was probably the best known of all the Hellcats, as McCampbell made 20 of his 34 kills in the Minsi III.
