| Republic P-47D-20 365th FG (B4-J) "the Madam" |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-15-RE 42-75845 B4-J "The Madam". It was the assigned aircraft of Lieutenant John H. Fetzer, from Shreveport Louisiana, of the 387th FS/ 365th FG during D-Day. He was flying as wingman of Capt. Arlo Henry on 6 June 1944, D-Day, when they spotted a number of Tiger tanks trying to hide in a castle. Capt Henry blew up the castle with his bombs, while Lt Fetzer attacked a Tiger with his 1000 lb bombs. His first bomb exploded harmlessly in a field, but his second "my contribution to D-Day" exploded right behind the Tiger, flipping it over 3 times. As for 42-75845, she proved to be a very strong lady. It began its career with the initial start of operations of the 365h FG, with Lt. Fetzer as its original pilot. He named the aircraft after his future wife, Helen. It flew its 200th mission in March 1945, and continued right to the end of the war, as the only remaining original Thunderbolt of the 365th. She was shot up several times, had wings and engines replaced and countless holes patched, but its crew chief, Joe DiMaio remarked that as long as 'the Madam' came back, he would keep her flying, and he did. This folder contains a repaint for the Piper Super Cub Extreme for P3Dv5 by Flight Replicas. It shows SE-GCK. Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub c/n 18-7918, built in 1963, entered service with the Swedish Army Air Corps (Arméflygkar) as the Fpl 51B '51245'. Swedish military aircraft are identified by designations, consisting of a role prefix and a sequential number: the Piper PA-18-150 has not a special task and is a Fpl 51 (Flygplan). The Swedish defence forces originally used the Piper PA-18 Super Cub as an artillery observation platform for the Army. The first batch of six Piper PA-18-150 Super Cubs was designated Fpl 51A in Sweden and delivered in 1958. In 1959, a second batch of six Piper PA-18-150s arrived in Sweden. These aircraft were modified for military use and designated Fpl 51B. In 1963, a third batch of six Fpl 51B was delivered, including Fpl 51B '51245'. Totally six Fpl 51A and twenty-three Fpl 51B were flown by the Swedish defence forces. In 1973, the Fpl 51B '51245' was withdrawn from active service in the Army. On 12 July 1973, the aircraft was registered SE-GCK as a Piper PA-18-150 with a private owner and it is still airworthy in Swedish Army colors. | North American T-6 Harvard (F-BJBF) |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of North American T-6G F-BJBF, 1970. Originally built as 41-33931 (c/n 88-14948), it went to the RAF as EX959. It was used by the 20 Service Flying Training School in Rhodesia from January 1943 onwards. After the war, it was transported back to the UK, where it was sold to the Belgian Air Force, where it became H-9. It flew from Brustem until 1959. The Belgian Air Force then sold it to Air France, with 14 other Harvards, for use at its flight school in Pontoise Cormeilles en Vexin, west of Paris. It flew with Air France until 1965, when it was sold to Mr Urbain of Cannes, who flew it in bare metal with a checkered rudder until 1971. This is the paintscheme depicted here. It then went to the UK, becoming G-AZJD. It remained based at Biggin Hill until 1984, when it went back to France as F-AZDU, being bought by Guy Robert, a former Mirage pilot who recieved his training in the '50's on a Harvard in Marocco. In 2001 it was sold to John Colors SL in Barcelona, but it retained its French registration of F-AZDU. It is still airworthy, based at Sabadell in Spain. | DDA Classic Airlines PH-PBA 2018 Douglas C-47 (DC-3) |

File Description: For Manfred Jahn's C-47 with Jan Visser's VVC, version 3.14 repaint of DDA (Dutch Dakota Association) Classic Airlines. The only flying DC-3/C-47 in the Netherlands at the moment. Hopefully joined by her sister (PH-DDZ) in the near future. The new 2018 livery of the DDA Dakota is going back to it's roots, as it royal colours in which it flew in the '50 and '60.
For more info on the real DDA visit there site: https://www.dutchdakota.nl/en/home/ Besides the outside, the inside and the pilot's got a different look. Also added some more details, especially at the tires and gear struts.
The VC textures are repainted to get the cockpit as much in line with the real one. These are repaint only, you need to install the beautiful freeware plane first.

This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended, in the colors of 762256 (c/n 496). Formerly N83NX, this aircraft is registered with the US Navy, but flying for the Center for Interdiciplinary Remotely-Piloted Aircraft Studies (CIRPAS), a research center at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The CIRPAS Twin Otter is an instrumented twin-engine turboprop aircraft. It supports individual scientists as well as teams of scientists from various Universities and Laboratories who are interested in lower-tropospheric phenomena and air/sea interaction. Payload may be selected from a large suite of state of the art meteorological, aerosol, and cloud particle sensors, while additional equipment collaborating scientists may wish to include can be integrated as well. Twin Otter mission have been sponsored by ONR, NSF, DOE, NOAA, NASA, CARB, and NRL.
Instruments may be installed in racks inside the cabin where a well characterized community inlet delivers ambient air samples, or in pods either suspended by wing-mounted pylons or mounted on a hard point on the cabin roof. Optical ports and windows are on the airplane’s belly and in the cabin roof.
CIRPAS staff calibrates and maintains the facility payload and provides fully reduced, synchronized, and coherent data sets to the collaborating scientists.
The Twin Otter is based at the CIRPAS Marina Facility, but has been deployed to various locations in North, South, and Central America and Asia. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft.

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 VH-AGU of Adastra Aerial Surveys. It was originally constructed for the USAAF in 1944 as a C-47B-35-DK and allocated the military serial 44-76336. In February 1945 it was acquired by the RAAF and allocated the serial A65-72. Operated until 1959, it was then sold to Adastra Airways and converted for civil use. In October 1964 the aircraft was re-registered to Sepal Pty Ltd, but in October 1969 it was acquired by Adastra Aerial Surveys Pty Ltd. Adastra Aerial Surveys was acquired by East-West Airlines Ltd in April 1973 and VH-AGU was re-registered to East-West Airlines on 12 November 1974. East-West won the MLS trials support contract in December 1974 and VH-AGU was re-painted in East-West colours at Tamworth in the month prior to positioning at Melbourne/Essendon for the commencement of the contract on 25 January 1975. At some stage in the late 1970s the aircraft was transferred to South Coast Aviation, another East-West subsidiary. The aircraft was withdrawn from service in August 1979 at Essendon at the conclusion of its Departmental charter, and sold to Aerodyne Pty Ltd of Moorabbin. Since then, it has had several owners, and is still airworthy, flying in a USAF Vietnam war scheme from Morwell, Victoria. | Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-B) "General Ike" |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G 42-97061 LL-B General Ike" of the 401st BS/ 91st BG based in Bassingbourne UK. One of the more well known B-17's of the 91st BG, was originally assigned to the 457th BG, but came to the 91st after only 3 days there, on the 16th March 1944. The aircraft was christened by Genral Eisenhower himself, when he visited the 91st BG on 11 April 1944. The noseart was painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer, with the lettering being done by Cpl. Elvis White. Both artists signed their work, though Cpl White's name later disappeared from the aircraft. Eisenhower liked the painting, but remarked to Cpl Starcer that his eyes were not blue-grey at all. "General Ike" survived the war and returned to Kingman Az, where she was scrapped. On its 65th mission, prop 3 started windmilling and sheared off, hitting the fuselage just below the co-pilots feet, but the only damaged was to the noseart, which was quickly repainted by Cpl Starcer. "General Ike" flew many missions as lead ship, because, as Capt John Davis said after returning from its 21st mission: "She's a mighty sweet plane, not too hot or fast, she moves steadily along. You don't want a fast aircraft for group lead."Ike" gets you over the target and brings you back again", which she did, again and again until the end of the war.

| Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LG-P) "Sweet Dish" |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G 44-6596 LG-P "Sweet Dish" of the 322nd BS/ 91st BG based in Bassingbourne UK. She arrived in Bassingbourne on the 4th of November 1944 and flew her first mission 5 days later, after which she was assigned to Lt Bob Roach and his crew. He suggested naming her Sweet Dish, after his wife, who was known to the crew. Tony Starcer painted her portrait, based on a pocket photograph. By war's end, she would have completed 46 missions by the war's end, including 24 flown by BoB Roach. Her hairiest mission was to Berlin on 5 december. Flak knocked out no.1 engine and set fire to no.2. During the dive to eliminate the fire, the engineer bailed out, and the navigator and bomb aimer followed him. The fire was extinguished however, and 'Sweet Dish' flew home on two engines. They counted 365 holes in the ship next day, and it took until the end of december to get her in the air again. At the end of the war, she took a group of ground crew on a flight over the damaged cities of Germany, so that they too could see the effect of their work, and in may she helped repatriate released PoW's. In june 1945, she flew back to the States, where she was scrapped at Kingman, Arizona in december 1945.

| Nord Noratlas Israeli Air Force (4X-FAP) |

This folder contains a repaint for the Nord 2501 Noratlas by Projet Noratlas in the colors of N2501IS 4X-FAP, the first of the Noratlas aircraft used by the Israeli Air Force. In the immediate post-war era France produced a plethora of prototype aircraft, nearly all of which vanished without trace. One of those that made good was the Nord 2500, a cargo transport with the same twin-boom configuration as the American C-119, with the cockpit in the nose of a capacious nacelle. Like the US type, the rear doors were of the left/right clamshell type, so for air-dropping heavy loads they had to be removed before takeoff, causing turbulence and high drag. Despite this, the more powerful 2501 proved an excellent aircraft, produced in large numbers in France and Germany in a programme that led directly to the Transall, produced by the same partners, designed in 1959 and flown in 1962.
Israel bought eight N.2501 IS direct from Nord in 1955-59, a further 12 from Germany in 1962, and four more later. The first, 4X-FAP, was delivered before the end of 1955, and immediately proved extremely popular and capable.
Eight Nords had been purchased and these were used extensively to re-supply IDF columns in Sinai. To assist with these re-supply efforts other Nords were made available from the French Air Force and were requisitioned from Israeli Airline EL-AL which used them as freight transports. This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47B 79001 of the Swedish Air Force that was at the start of the Catalina affair (Swedish: Catalinaaffären), a military confrontation and Cold War-era diplomatic crisis in June 1952, in which Soviet fighter jets shot down two Swedish aircraft over international waters in the Baltic Sea. The first aircraft to be shot down was an unarmed Swedish Air Force Tp 79, a derivative of the Douglas DC-3, carrying out radio and radar signals intelligence-gathering for the National Defence Radio Establishment. None of the crew of eight was rescued. The second aircraft to be shot down was a Swedish Air Force Tp 47, a Catalina flying boat, involved in the search and rescue operation for the missing DC-3. The Catalina's crew of five was saved. The Soviet Union publicly denied involvement until its dissolution in 1991. The aircraft was manufactured in 1943 with original US serial number 42-5694, and was delivered to USAAF 15th Troop Carrier Squadron (61st Troop Carrier Group). It saw action in northern Africa before being stationed at RAF Barkston Heath. On June 13, 1952, it disappeared east of the isle of Gotska Sandön while carrying out signals intelligence-gathering operations for the Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment. Both aircraft were located in 2003, and the DC-3 was salvaged, and the wreckage is currently on display in the Swedish Air Force Museum near Linköping.
