MALEV Hungarian Airlines Boeing B737-7Q8 (HA-LOL) repaint, one of 7 currently in Malev fleet. Mal���©v Hungarian Airlines (Hungarian: Magyar L���©gik���¶zleked���©si V���¡llalat, abbreviated Mal���©v) is the flag carrier and principal airline of Hungary. It has its head office in the Lurdy House in Budapest, with its main operations at Budapest Ferihegy International Airport. From there, the airline flies to 50 cities in 34 countries worldwide using a fleet of 22 airplanes. Mal���©v is a member of the Oneworld alliance, joining 29 March 2007.[2] Mal���©v - the accent indicates that the E is long, and the first syllable is always stressed in Hungarian, so the name is pronounced MAH-lev. The company's logo was designed by L���¡szl���³ Zs���³t���©r in 1989. Aircraft is hand painted, using iFly paintkit, with some slight modifications in order to represent real HA-LOL in best possible way. Textures are saved in 32 bit format, for best image quality.

This folder contains a repaint for the Classics Hangar FW190D / TA152 package, in the colors of WkNr 150168, 'green 9' with JG301, one of the TA152's flown by Oberfeldwebel Willi Reschke during the latter days of the war. Reschke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willi_Reschke) was one of only two pilots to shoot down enemy aircraft while flying the TA152, one RAF Tempest on 14 april 1945 and two Russian YAK-9s on 24 april 1945. The aircraft was captured by the British Army, and used for flight testing by Eric 'Winkle' Brown at Farnborough. The aircraft was exhibited with other captured aircraft in 1946 and later scrapped.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the blank textures by Classics Hangar.
Please note: I have painted a swastika on the tail for this repaint. If you have the 'historical markings' installed for the FW190D/TA152 package, then these will show over the swastika of the paint. In order to prevent this, I suggest removing the file "ch_Ta152_stencils" from the "Classics Hangar_FW190D-9\texture"folder and placing it in the respective 'texture.1' folders within the "Classics Hangar_TA152H-0 and -1" folders. This will allow that swastika on the tail to be visible in the original paints, but not in this one. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Classics Hangar.

This folder contains a repaint for the Aerplane Heaven Hawker Typhoon in the colors of Typhoon JP975 as it may have looked on the 19th of August 1944, when it crashed near Saint-Maclou-la-Brière, a small village near Le Havre. JP975 was piloted by pilot Officer James Stellin RNZAF, who was flying with 609 squadron, based in Thorney Island airfield. On the 19th of August, 609 had been attacking the Falaise pocket when James Stellin was probably hit by flak while attacking ground targets. He tried to fly back to England, but was losing altitude and on realising he was probably going to crash in the middle of the village, managed to divert to crash at the last moment. He jumped from his aircraft, but was too low and his chute did not open. He was buried by the thankful civilians, who celebrated his sacrifice each year and have named the square in front of the church 'Place Stellin'. It is not known what the aircraft code of JP975 was on the day of the crash, so I have opted for PR-S, for Stellin. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc ML214 5J-K as flown by Squadron Leader Ioannis Agorastos "John" Plagis of RAF 126 (Persian Gulf) Squadron, based in RAF Culmhead, may 1944. S/L Plagis was born in Rhodesia of Greek parents and was officially listed as a Greek pilot with the RAF. He enlisted in october 1940, and was trained in the UK before being sent to the Mediterranean. He flew a Spitfire off HMS Eagle to Malta, where he soon became the first Spitfire ace with 249 squadron. His final score on Malta was 10, keeping a vow he made when a friend of his was shot down by the Germans. He returned to the UK in august 1942 and spent a year as an instructor. He returned to active duty in september 1943 as CO of 64 squadron, and joined No 126 squadron in january 1944. He picked ML214 as his personal aircraft because of the K on the tail, since all his aircraft were always named after his sister Kay. He ended the war flying Mustangs, with an official score of 16 aircraft and two probables, making him the highest ranking Rhodesian and Greek pilot. | Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX BS273 High Altitude Flight |

This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc BS273, which was one of the Spitfires modified for high altitude interceptions, based at Northolt, 1942, and regularly flown by F/O Prince Emmanuel Galitzine. The prince was a Russian immigrant, a great grandson of Tsar Paul 1. After the Russian revolution, his family fled Russia, ending up in England. He wanted to fly, and when the Russian attacked Finland, he decided to join the Finnish Air Force. However, on hearing his mother was killed in the London blitz, he returned to the uK (via the US and Canada) and joined the RAF, becoming a Spitfire pilot with the Special Service Flight in Northolt. On 12 september 1942, he intercepted a JU-86 above Southampton at 41.000ft and attacked it. The battle went up to 43.000 ft, and was the highest recorded air battle of WWII. His spitfire only had two cannons, and one of them was frozen solid, giving a very unbalanced flight while shooting, combined with excessive vapor trails of his ammunition. It is believed he managed to hit the german aircraft, but in the end it got away safely. However, since the Germans now knew they could be intercepted, they launched no more high altitude attacks on the UK. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

| North American P-51D 352nd FG (PE-X) "Straw Boss 2" |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of #44-14111 PE-X "StrawBoss 2", which was flown by Col. James D Mayden of the 328 Fighter Squadron/352nd FG. Born in 1912, Mayden graduated from Kansas State College in 1935. He did his primary and advanced training in Randolph/Kelly Texas and went on to fly P-26's, P-36's, P-39's along with P-40's stateside before flying P-51's overseas.
His first kill occured on November 2nd 1944, and by the end of the war, he had 2 air victories to go with 4 ground kills. Both confirmed air kills were ME-109's. Mayden's wartime decorations included an Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Croix De Guerre. He also commanded the 352nd FG from July 1944 to September 1945.
The Colonel's first P-51, a B model was named "StrawBoss", a nickname said to be given to him by his dad. After a gear-up landing accident, StrawBoss was replaced with a fresh P-51D. While the left side of the new mount wore "StrawBoss 2", the right side was painted "Little Sandra", named after crew chief S/Sgt Hubert Robling's daughter.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of North American T-6G F-BJBF of Air France, 1962. Originally built as 41-33931 (c/n 88-14948), it went to the RAF as EX959. It was used by the 20 Service Flying Training School in Rhodesia from January 1943 onwards. After the war, it was transported back to the UK, where it was sold to the Belgian Air Force, where it became H-9. It flew from Brustem until 1959. The Belgian Air Force then sold it to Air France, with 14 other Harvards, for use at its flight school in Pontoise Cormeilles en Vexin, west of Paris. It flew with Air France until 1965, when it was sold to Mr Urbain of Cannes, who flew it in Air Esterel colors until 1971. It then went to the UK, becoming G-AZJD. It remained based at Biggin Hill until 1984, when it went back to France as F-AZDU, being bought by Guy Robert, a former Mirage pilot who recieved his training in the '50's on a Harvard in Marocco. In 2001 it was sold to John Colors SL in Barcelona, but it retained its French registration of F-AZDU. It is still airworthy, based at Sabadell in Spain. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-5-RE 42-8438 B4-W "Morticians Delight", one of the P-47's flown by Lt Neal Worley of the 387th FS/ 365th FG. Lt. Worley's first two P-47's were called 'Kansas Jack', referring to his Emporia, Kansas upbringing, but he did not feel like naming his third aircraft. His crew came up with 'Morticians Delight', and Worley himself painted the picture on the engine cowling. In 127 missions, he crashed 5 Thunderbolts. His coolness under pressure was immortilized on July 26th, 1944. A 20 mm shell hit his right wheel well during an attack on Sauveur Lendelin, jamming the wheel. He discovered that only the left wheel would lower, but would not retract, so bellying in was no longer an option. He circled for over an hour, burning fuel, and then landed on only the left gear, easing the fighter down. When the right wing dipped just enough, he hit the left brake, and the P-47 spun to a stop. His landing was captured on film, and used in the movie "Fighter Squadron". The aircraft was repaired, and flew missions the very next day, as a testament to the ruggedness of the Thunderbolt. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22-RE 42-6319 D5-P "Astra", the assigned aircraft of Captain George Porter of the 386th FS/365th FG as it looked in August 1944, while based at Juvincourt (A-68), France. George Porter gained the tongue in cheek title of 'flak analyst extraordinaire' after a june 1944 mission, when the 386th FS lost three aircraft to AA. During debriefing, he referred to "only moderate, and only fairly accurate flak". On 5 september 1944, he chased a Me109 to the deck, and as he closed to 500 yards, the German pilot suddenly bailed out. Porter filmed the crash and pilot on the ground and was disappointed he hadn't even fired a shot. He needed to be convinced by intelligence officers to submit a claim. He received a silver star for an action on october 12, 1944, when he encountered about 40 german fighters.Attacking four, he hit one when his aircraft, D5-P, started leaking oil over the windshield. He attacked another FW190 nonetheless, scoring hits. He later bellied in near Diest, Belgium, severly damaging Astra, but remaining unhurt himself. The tail on his aircraft was a replacement from an older aircraft, which explains the wrong serial on the tail. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

| Hunting Percival Sea Prince Belgian Air Force (RM-7) |

This folder contains a repaint for the Percival Sea Prince by Rob Richardson, in the colors of RM-7 of the Belgian Air Force, in the paintscheme it wore in its first year of service. In 1953 the Belgian Government ordered 12 Percival Pembroke's through Contract N° SP140 as a replacement for the ageing Avro Anson.The aircraft was used for short-range transport and liaison flights. Between 1956 and 1957 several brand-new Pembrokes were stored at Wevelgem awaiting a future detachment to the Belgian Congo, which eventually never materialised.
A number of Pembrokes were also used for the benefit of the Belgian National Geographical Institute that used the aerial photographs obtained with the Pembrokes to produce very detailed maps of the country. In 1978 the Pembrokes were struck of charge after their replacement, the Swearingen Merlin III became operational. All but two Pembrokes were sold to the rather dark company Air America (not to be confused with the CIA-supported Air America that was operational in South-East Asia), which was owned by a drugsdealer. After some very adventurous carreers in Souith America, several former Belgian Pembrokes were acquired and preserved in the USA. RM-7 is preserved in Belgium at Melsbroek air base by the Dakota Historical Center 15th Wing. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Rob Richardson.
