If you are anything like me you spend far too much time programming flights for ai traffic and not nearly enough time flying. Finding my desk always covered with scraps of paper I set myself the task of collecting together some of the main airport ICAO codes in FS9 to be displayed on a single sheet of A4 when printed out. This modest little spreadsheet file is the result of this. The UK is not included.
Of course, you can change these “main” airports lookups to suit you and make any corrections you like. And yes, I know the continental locations are arbitrary in places but I hope you find it useful.

File Description:
This file is an FS Navigator 4.6 flight plan which will produce a very nice guided tour of the island of Crete. It it has been written with the specific intention of showing off the highlights of Jacques Sylvain's beautiful Crete 2004 scenery. Some of these can be a little difficult to find: my flight plan will automatically take you on the following route, optimising the altitude for best views as you go:
Sitia airport - Ierapetra (south coast) - Lasithi Plain (with windmills) - Knossos Palace - Herakleion airport & Harbour - Mount Idi (birthplace of Zeus!) - Rethymnon Harbour - Chania Harbour - Souda (Chania) airport.
Take off, engage FSNav and the autopilot, then sit back and enjoy Jacques Sylvain's scenery......

Actually there is not a lot to edit, more to view but the edit function can move the full airport
with all nodes and lines and lights at once to a new location referenced by the blue square UTM coordinates and height. Move of just a little bit is possible also.
The Duxford package has been moved from UKS region to SanFran region in 1 minutes :-)
Analyze a single airport or the full game region with all airports in the regions/airports the /packages and the /outterr folder generating a global list of values like runway, parking spots, frequencies, sound names and more. You can lock at an selected airport with the tree view.

Pre FS2004 Reminder. FS Rule #1 - provide maximum computer resources for your Flight Simulator environment! If you are like me, too often I forget to close unnecessary programs before starting Flight Simulator. This little addon utility, in the form of a simple batch file, will bring up a reminder screen, allowing you to close other programs and allowing you time to do so before it starts Flight Simulator. The batch file uses an old MSDOS popup utility from the early 90's (by Robin Latham) which works just fine in Windows XP. This utility may be used in conjunction with Geoffrey Schreiber's fine Splash Screen Randomizer. Tested in Windows XP home edition and FS2004 only.

A special feature this time is a little "perception" test you can try. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. This issue is packed with more information than usual as it will likely be the last issue for awhile as Summer is upon us.
I do expect to resume the series again in the Fall. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

Scottish VA The MATVA Group still presenting the aircraft of their newest acquisition South East Asia Airways or S.E.A as it will be known. This is SGA/Kittyhawk's B737-200 using Mike Baumann's FDE. I only intended having a couple of these in SEA's fleet but I liked flying it so much we are currently using nine of them with more to come. So many thanks to SGA/Kittyhawk and of course Mike Baumann for this little Boeing. I know a lot of you collect our stuff so feel free to visit our web-site, you may even be tempted to join us. By request in repainting my Fish'N Trips 206's as privates no logos I decided to do them.
This is a Can registered C-GHOP in Yellow color.
I decided to repaint that look like a real working airplane in bush country.
I decided to add a couple little details on it like bugs on the leading edge and struts, wearring out the anti skids, scratching the prop,
adding labels and logos and weathering the float, scratching the wingtips, denting and scratching the floats and rear subfin,also replacing
the alluminium paddle with a wooden one on the float.
You must own a registered copy of Carenado's Cessna 206 in order to use these files.at www.carenado.com

| KR2 for AI |

File Description:
Ken Rand's lightweight two-seater for AI use in FS2004. Built with FSDS v3.51, there is a relatively low polygon-count main model, with several LOD models and a reduced-detail shadow for optimal fps. Not a short-field aircraft, it's quite streamlined and there are no flaps, so the stall speed is quite high for a small 'plane, 45kts. An interesting feature of this aircraft (and it's predecessor, the KR1), is that the undercarraige is only about 17" tall, so the aircraft sits very close to the ground. Sorry, the model does bounce a little on touchdown ... put it down to an inexperienced pilot ;-)
Another slightly unusual shape for your taxiways and runways ... enjoy.

The AFTS Client allows you to send live flight data to SimFly.EU servers which becomes available, live via our AFTS at http://www.simfly.eu/afts2
AFTS allows full pilot and VA management, statistics as well as SimPax (an FSX Passengers Game). The application is programmed so that it places very little load on your system, it can also be minimised to the system tray once connected.
AFTS requires no installation, you can simply run it after download, once signed in it will transmit your FSX data and your information will be available instantly online, which includes Hours Tracking.
Requires FSX with SP2 or Accelleration
This is newer than the previous version posted, its also out of Beta now
