RAF Attlebridge - Norwich, Norfolk, England Download

File Description:
RAF Attlebridge is a former Royal Air Force station located near Attlebridge and 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Norwich, Norfolk, England. RAF Attlebridge was an early wartime station, laid out for use by No. 2 Group RAF light bombers, and was completed in August 1942. The airfield was used by No. 88 Squadron RAF from August 1941 to September 1942 using Bristol Blenheim IVs and Douglas Bostons. The Station had runways of 1,220, 1,120 and 1,080 yards length but, when the base was earmarked for USAAF use, these were extended and the airfield was enlarged to meet heavy bomber requirements. The main E-W runway was increased to 2,000 yards and the others to 1,400 yards each. The perimeter track was also extended and the number of hardstands was increased to fifty. In enlarging the airfield, several small, country roads were closed in the parish of Weston Longville, in which the larger part of the airfield was sited. RAF Attlebridge was assigned to the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) Eighth Air Force's 2nd Bomb Wing on 30 September 1942. It was given USAAF designation Station 120.
Third party add-on scenery will be required - see readme for details.

VOMM_P3Dv5 Download

File Description:
Chennai International Airport (IATA: MAA, ICAO: VOMM) is an international airport serving the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and its metropolitan area. It is located in Tirusulam, 21 km (13 mi) from the city centre. Chennai International Airport is the third busiest in international traffic and cargo capacity in the country behind New Delhi and Mumbai.[4][5] It is also 49th busiest airport in Asia making it one of the four major airports in India under the top 50 list.[6] The airport is served by the airport metro station of the Chennai Metro and the Tirusulam railway station of the Chennai Suburban Railway system. To cope with the passenger traffic, two new terminals, namely, T2 and one satellite terminal, are under construction to handle 40 million passengers per year.[7] Once completed, it will be India's first airport to have a satellite terminal. The new satellite terminal will be connected through a four way underground walkalator for passenger movement across different terminals.[8] Still, the Tirusulam airport complex is expected to reach saturation by 2035, with a peak capacity of 40 million passengers, and a proposal for a new greenfield airport in Chennai is underway for decades. Once the new airport is commissioned, both the airports will be functional.

North American P-51D Mustang "Hell-er Bust" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
A repaint only for the payware Warbirdsim product 'Mustang Tales'. This repaint depicts the restored P-51D-20-NA 44-72438, "Hell-er Bust", registered N7551T. This specific aircraft is known to have been delivered to the 8th Air Force in England in late January 1945, however no available records indicate any combat time or what, if any, Fighter Group the aircraft was assigned. Following the end of WWII the aircraft served with the Swedish AF as Fv26131, and then with the Dominican AF as FAD 1920. After being imported back into the U.S. in the 1980's, the aircraft was purchased by Selby Burch and given a ground-up restoration. Finished in 118th TRS markings, the aircraft won the Grand Champion WWII Warbird award at Sun 'N Fun 1997. The aircraft was later purchased by Bob Jepson/Lady Alice Corporation and first repainted as 'Lady Alice' and then as 'Hell-er Bust'. In 2006 the aircraft was obtained by the Historic Aircraft Foundation and based at Paine Field, near Seattle, WA. Since 2009, the aircraft has been owned by Mark Peterson/Mustang High Flight LLC, based at Boise, Idaho, and remains finished as 'Hell-er Bust'. The markings depict an original wartime mount of Lt. Col. Edwin L. 'Ed' Heller, a P-51D-10-NA (44-14696) of the 486th FS, 352nd FG. This repaint features new bump maps, wheel well, gun bay, and cockpit textures.

Micro Flight 5 Download

File Description:
Micro Flight is a state of the art flight simulator specializing in simulating ultralight flying vehicles and micro meteorological conditions. Unlike other flight simulators, Micro Flight simulates the intricate flow of air over the ground and the effects of thermals created by the sun, making it ideal for simulating gliders of all types. Micro Flight also simulates types of vehicles not simulated by other general aviation programs, such as: Hanggliders, Paragliders, Gyroplanes, Helicopters, Trikes, Balloons and more. Flight instrumentation and navigational aids were made to resemble real ones, this includes the hand held GPS, standard flight instruments, head up display and more. The whole enviroment which the user interacts with is three dimentional, even operating the instruments in the cockpit is made by manipulating them with the mouse and not just by pressing keys. The terrain model used is detailed and optimized, giving the terrain a photorealistic look while still maintaing a high frame rate during run. The program supports a wide variety of scenery formats, and can import aerial photography and USGS digital elevation data directly. The program includes flight recording and anaylis, giving the user the ability to study the flight in detail and export it's path in digital form for any purpose. The program has netplay mode which enables users to fly and communicate with each other. All this and more make the program a unique and valueable tool for flight simulation. YCDN Corunna Downs Station and Old Corunna Downs RAAF (Closed) Download

File Description:
Corunna Downs heritage listed RAAF Base was a secret airfield located in scrub and spinifex country, about 16 kms south west of Marble Bar, the hottest part of the "The Pilbara" area of Western Australia. Not a very ideal place to have a tent city. Today there are very few reminders of the once busy airfield. One can see some crumbling foundations and half filled post holes. 73 OBU operated the Corunna Downs airfield which comprised two intersecting bitumen runways, now regressed and graded occasionally. One ran approximately north-south, 5,000 feet in length while the other ran approximately east-west, 7,000 feet in length. Both runways were approximately 150 feet wide. A 50 foot wide taxiway linked the northern end of the north-south runway to the western end of the east-west runway. Approximately 20 camouflaged revetments to disperse aircraft to minimise bomb damage were constructed at Corunna Downs. Permission is required for landing and there may be vegetation on the strip if not graded recently. No cones or windsock so be careful. Corunna Downs Homestead is also heritage listed and consists of graded strips and homestead complex. Start points are at the homestead and the RAAF base is to the west. Hunting Percival Sea Prince Belgian Air Force (RM-7) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Percival Sea Prince by Rob Richardson, in the colors of RM-7 of the Belgian Air Force, in the paintscheme it wore in its first year of service. In 1953 the Belgian Government ordered 12 Percival Pembroke's through Contract N° SP140 as a replacement for the ageing Avro Anson. The aircraft was used for short-range transport and liaison flights. Between 1956 and 1957 several brand-new Pembrokes were stored at Wevelgem awaiting a future detachment to the Belgian Congo, which eventually never materialised. A number of Pembrokes were also used for the benefit of the Belgian National Geographical Institute that used the aerial photographs obtained with the Pembrokes to produce very detailed maps of the country. In 1978 the Pembrokes were struck of charge after their replacement, the Swearingen Merlin III became operational. All but two Pembrokes were sold to the rather dark company Air America (not to be confused with the CIA-supported Air America that was operational in South-East Asia), which was owned by a drugsdealer. After some very adventurous carreers in Souith America, several former Belgian Pembrokes were acquired and preserved in the USA. RM-7 is preserved in Belgium at Melsbroek air base by the Dakota Historical Center 15th Wing. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Rob Richardson.

RAF Chivenor 1979-1992 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Originally a civil airfield opened in the 1930s, the site was taken over by the Royal Air Force in May 1940 for use as a Coastal Command Station, and was known as RAF Chivenor. After the Second World War, the station was largely used for training, particularly weapons training. During the 1960s, one of the RAF's Tactical Weapons Units (TWU) used Hawker Hunter aircraft for training. In 1974 the station was left on "care and maintenance", though No. 624 Volunteer Gliding Squadron continued to fly from there. The TWU returned, flying BAE Hawks, in 1979 and 1981. In 1994, the TWU left Chivenor, merging with No. 4 Flying Training School at RAF Valley, and the airfield was handed over to the Royal Marines.

This scenery includes all the Hawk aircraft of 2 TWU in both camouflage and air defence grey schemes, depending on your preferred choice. There are flightplans included, which are representative only, but enables the aircraft to fly to bases and checkpoints around the country.
The scenery has been constructed using objects mainly from MAIW sceneries, which will need to be installed in order to gain the full visual experience. With BIG thanks to Nick Black for the use of his superb AI Hawk, and to Chris A. Brown for paintin' 'em!

Imperial Iranian Air Force One (IIAF1) Boeing 747-400 Download

File Description:
This is a repaint of the FSPainter fabulous Boeing 747-400 V2 (model not included) in the Imperial Iranian Air Force 1 colour. Yes, Iran was due to receive her first American modeled Air Force 1 B747SP registered as EP-HIM (His Imperial Highness) during the reign of the late Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi but the so called revolution of the 1979 put an end to all the good relations with the United States of America and resulted in cancellation of all the orders for American jet planes(including this fabulous aircraft) and fighters. Well, I had read about this certain aircraft sometime but had no idea how it would look like since I saw a small photo,a painting of it on the internet (what a wonderful plane it was due to become) and decided to make a repaint job of it on a 747-400(instead of 747SP) and FSPainter model.v2 was great for it. So I do hope that you enjoy this imperial repainting of the Queen of the Skies whose registeration is the same EP-HIM and the Persian writings on the sides of the fuslage (Keshvar-e Shahanshahi-e Iran) can be translated as the Imperial Land of Iran or the Imperial Country of Iran.744 Base textures by FSPainter, IIAF1 textures by Pantee Farhangi.

Nam Phong Royal Thai Air Force Base (Scenery Upgrade) Download

File Description:
A model of Nam Phong RTAFB as it appeared in mid-1972 when much of it was still under construction. Nam Phong was originally an obscure Thai Air Force training facility located about 60 miles south-southeast of the large USAF/Air America base at Udorn. In response to increasing NVA attacks in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam, the US Marine Corps transferred three fighter/attack squadrons (known as "Task Force Delta")from Da Nang to Nam Phong. A new 10,000 ft. concrete runway was built, and roads, aircraft parking and housing/storage areas were hacked out of the jungle by a joint USN/USMC engineering team. Nam Phong was nicknamed "The Rose Garden" in jest due to the extremely primitive conditions that existed there when the Marines first arrived. The nickname was borrowed from the Marine Corps advertising slogan, "We don't promise you a rose garden", which in turn was inspired by the lyrics of a popular country & western song by Lynn Anderson. The three USMC fighter/attack squadrons that took up permanent residence at Nam Phong were the VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles", the VMFA-232 "Red Devils", and the VMA(AW)-533 "Nighthawks." This enhanced model supercedes the Nam Phong scenery that was uploaded three years ago. It should be compatible with FS 2004. Requires the trees_v3.zip object library by Gerrish Gray.
