Russian Air Force Yak-52 (with large nose cone)

File Description:
This aircraft has been made primarily for AI purposes but actually also flies well as an ordinary aircraft. Ray Blake persuaded me to create two additional models for the Yak52 (4_GA_Yak52.zip uploaded in March 2008) which display a large nose cone with the existing two-blade prop, or the large nose cone and a three-blade prop. He kindly provided four new textures to accompany these two new models. You can either just load the whole new set into your existing FS9 aircraft folders and it will display as a single incorporated set of Yak52 aircraft, or if you want to merge the new models and textures into the Yak52 folder, an illustration of the folder arrangement is included for your guidance. The same paintkit (paintkit_4_ga_yak52.zip) is used for any of these models.

Usce Tower, Belgrade, Serbia

File Description:
USCE OFFICE TOWER Belgrade, Serbia Height: 106 m (rooftop), 141m (top of the antenna) This skyscraper was once the seat of the Communist party of former Yugoslavia. The building was heavily damaged in NATO bombings in 1999. After the NATO aggresion the remains of the building were sold to a private company which reconstructed the whole site and now rents the office space to serbian,american and EU companies. This building was also a target of the unsucssesfull attack back in 1967, when Nikola Kavaja hijacked a Boeing 737 on O'Hare Intl. in Chicago and tryed to swap it for Boeing 747 with intents to crash the aircraft in this building and "kill dictator Tito". He was prevented from doing this by US Police officers. A skyscraper with some history! Enjoy!

Captain George S Welch P-38H Lightning

File Description:
This skin is the Lockheed P-38H Lightning of Captain George S Welch, of the 80th Fighter Squadron of the 8th Fighter Group, based at Port Moresby, New Guinea, September 1943. Welch scored a total of 16 victories (including 4 during the attack on Pearl Harbor) before he was sent home from New Guinea with an extreme case of malaria. Welch was also the first known pilot to exceed mach 1, flying a prototype F-86 Sabre, albeit in a dive. Thanks to WOLF257 for creating the P-38, and for enhancing our SF WW2 experience. And much thanks go to AVSIM for hosting. I have included a new prop sound file for the loading screen, use it if you want. IMHO it adds to the immersion for your SF ww2 experience.

Middle Brother Mt., NSW- TV tower

File Description:
On the mid-north coast of New South Wales, approximately half-way between Taree in the south and Port Macquarie in the north, are three mountains, named by Captain James Cook in 1770 when he navigated up the east coast of Australia. They are South Brother, Middle Brother and North Brother - the latter also known locally as "Laurieton Mountain". In the late 1950's - early 1960's, when rural television coverage was being introduced, a transmitter tower was placed on the summit of Middle Brother.As I come from that area I decided that it was time that Middle Brother had its tower placed upon it. So here it is. It's not an exact replica as it uses an embedded default FS2004 image, but at least you do not need any additional graphics.

Corsair F4 U1 Panel

Designed for FS 2002 and Upper. My new panel for Vought Corsair F4U1. As accurate I could.Just about the panel, I have 8 photos and all were differents, realy a nightmare. This replica is realy one off these. But it was the war and I suppose that mechanic does what he can...So,like it, I keep some Microsoft Gauges in order and writen in xml the broken others.. In fact, it was under my elbow..Some gauges was not accurates.Done today and Papy Boyington is playing with the F4... All triggers, switchs and buttons with sounds.Starters,pumps, valves, and so on for cold start..One old radio Nav, one old Com radio, an ADF,like Papy.Hé ouais.But access to Crosoft facilities like Map, Atc if you want.... Have a pleasant flight..

Stanislaw Skarzynski flight from Poland to South America

File Description:
This is a set of flights in which you may recreate flight of capitain Stanislaw Skarzynski from Warsaw, Poland to Buenos Aires, Argentina on its 75th Anniversary! On the 27th of April 1933 Skarzynski took off, flew through Germany, France, Morocco, Mauretania to St Louis in Senegal. On the 7th of May 1933, he took off and crossed South Atlantic in his small RWD-5bis monoplane and landed in Maceio, Brasil, after 20 hour flight. I created original flight legs and correct take off time. If it was possible, I also added custom weather. To use this flights, you will need download two Aeropostale sceneries by Alexander Belov, because this pack is using them. The flights are using default Lockheed Vega. More info in the readme. USAAF B-24D "Kate Smith" 98th Bomb Group, 9th AAF

File Description:
"Kate Smith" 42-40991 was a B-24D-120-CO which came off the production lines of Consolidated, San Diego. The art work depicts American Singer Kate Smith's theme song, "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain". This ship was flown by the 1Lt James A Deeds to Ploesti on August 1, 1943. While taking part in the disasterous 98th BG attack on the Astra Romana-Phoenix Orion refinery complex, it took a direct hit in the cockpit area over the target at an estimated 250 ft of altitude. The aircraft caught fire in the bomb bay area and exploded mid-air. Miraculously, the copilot, 2Lt Clifton Foster was blown clear of the disintergrating aircraft and was able to open his parachute. Taken prisoner, he was the only survivor of the ten man crew.

Republic P-47D Thunderbolt, 42-25569 4K-R "Rae"

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-21 42-25569 4K-R 'The Blond Angel', the aircraft flown by Major Hal Shook, the C.O. of the 506th FS/404th FG. He finished the war with 105 combat flights. When the 404th first converted to P-47's, it received a number of brand new bare metal 22 models, but also a number of older C and D models, in OD paint. It was decided to concentrate those in one squadron and flipped a coin for the squadron. maj. Shook lost and consequently, the 506th FS started the war with the older, camouflaged aircraft and only received newer models later. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

P-47D 57th FG/ 65th FS #40 "Hun Hunter XIV"

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-23-RA 42-27910 #40 "Hun Hunter XIV", as flown by Lt.Col Gilbert O. Wynand Jr, the CO of the 65th FS/ 57th FG, based in Alto, Corsica. He was more or less responsible for converting the P-47 from a high-altitude fighter to a very efficient ground attack aircraft, which was used to great effect during operation Strangle, where the German supply lines in Italy were completly cut off by destroying all railways, bridges and roads leading to the front in middle Italy.
