| Super VC10 Panel Upgrade Part 6 |
|
File Description:
This panel upgrade for David Maltby's Super VC10 incorporates significant major changes. First the Super VC10 has now become a stand alone aircraft within the "DMFS Shared Files" file structure. This allows for many changes that distinguish the Super VC10 from the Standard. Some already present and some ongoing. The main panel is now in widescreen format i.e. "not stretched!" Many hundreds of other changes have also been made some unseen that make significant differences to the performance of the model. For example the Super has a fin tank now modelled along with correct fuel transfer and jettison procedures. The engines have been totally overhauled with new thrust curves so that their performance is as accurate as possible across the power spectrum. A consequence of this is that throttle control is now much more precise. Internal engine sounds have been completely revised and are as close as possible to the sound one would hear from the cockpit. There are in addition numerous new panels that are fully functional such the Oxygen panel. This means that cabin altitude and depressurisation are all potential factors and must be attended to. Though you do have an oxygen mask (so don it if necessary or face the consequences!). There is a tiller for ground manoeuvring. There are just too many changes and additions to list here but they are listed in the documentation. Another important addition is refuelling. Refuelling can only be done from an underwing point. To assist is a dedicated new fuel uplift spreadsheet which incorporates a facsimile of a real Super VC10 load sheet allowing you to change passenger loads etc. Everything is explained in the "Technical and Operational Procedures Manual" pdf file as well as the "VC10 FLYING MANUAL" pdf file which contains all the full checklists not cut down for sim use. With ongoing work the intention is that this will become a "study" simulation.

| Complete Apollo 16 pack for Nassp v3.0 |
|
File Description:
This is a COMBINED Descartes Landing site and Descartes Enhancement Pack for the new NASSP (v3.0) and the new ORBITER (021202). It also includes Vinka's updated (for 021202) Generic Spacecraft DLL Module so that the "independent" Lunar EVA implementation would work. It also includes YesRushGen's Apollo 16 scenarios which depict the Apollo 16 mission in various stages during the mission.
Everything found in Descartes Landing Site and DEP add-ons are included, along with a new Lunar Rover that has both the CMDR and LMP on board when pressing "V" after the NASSP EVA key is pressed. However, due to an inexplicable bug, I decided not to include the detailed SIMBAY EVA astronaut mesh, because Orbiter kept on crashing whenever I perform EVA on BOTH the LM and the CSM.
Furthermore, although the LM now sports the bronze-like coloring of the J-Mission Advanced LMs (from inside the SIVB booster until separation of ascent stage), I had to remove the enhancements like the hanging MESA and the LRV from the Descent Stage because it caused inexplicable Orbiter crashes too. But I hope you like the new LM color which is now consistent during the course of the entire mission (in the DEP add-on, it was still aluminum/grey when docked to the CSM and only turned bronze when undocked).
Finally, I added a NAV/ADF beacon to the landing site, so that if you press SHIFT-C and tune to 109.10, then press SHIFT-L, your landing display will show your position with respect to the landing site, provided you are within 500 kilometers.

| YKBR Kalbarri, Western Australia (VERSION 3) and townsite |
|
File Description:
YKBR Kalbarri includes a townsite where there was none in FSX and the entire mouth of the estuary and immediate coastline - The airport was rebuilt in 2001 replacing the old Kalbarri Strip. The Kalbarri Airport, 10km east of Kalbarri on the Kalbarri-Ajana Road, is a jointly owned by the Shires of Northampton and Greenough. The Airport was funded by both Shires, the State Government and significant contributions were also received from Arkona Holdings and Westralia Airports Corporation. The total cost of the construction is approximately $1.7 million. The Airport was officially opened on the 22nd September 2001 by the Hon. Michelle Roberts. The fee to land at the Kalbarri Airport is $15.00. This can be paid at the airport or Shire office in Kalbarri at the Allen Centre on Grey Street. Private aircraft can be parked permanently at the airport. There is a fee of $264.00 per annum and is payable in lieu of any landing fee. | Replacement Dynamic Water Textures v11 |
|
File Description:
Replacement dynamic water texture-sets for FS2004 (VERSION 11). These newer version 11 moon light textures are a completely new type than my earlier versions. The results are much improved and there is also a "new moon" texture in this version which is a more realistic and darker blue/black which contrasts nicely with my moon light textures. This compares quite drastically to the default over lit pinkish brown tones the default FS9 uses for a new moon. Now when you fly by moonlight you can actually see the moon kissed water and even see some wave action. It actually feels like you are there! There are 2 moon light textures in this download. The default reflections and water colors leave a lot to be desired in FS2004. As an example; The default milky "bright green" overcast texture is highly unrealistic in overcast conditions. The replacement textures will change this dramatically to a much more convincing and realistic "blue/grey", cast, with improved lighting and reflections in respect to the sun. These replacement textures will generally give a much more realistic tone and color to the water effects in FS2004. The change is quite dramatic and transforms the flight sim experience to a much greater level of realism. It is important to stress the default FS9 textures are fully compatible with these new textures and they can be used in any combinations and can be mixed and matched with the new textures. For example it may be that some users want to keep some of the water environment textures as they are by default but change only one or two textures. The choice is yours. As a further added bonus a voice control file has been included for "Shoot" which will control FS2004 by voice. It is brilliant and it's free.

| Replacement Dynamic Water Textures Version 8 |
|
File Description:
Replacement dynamic water texture-sets for FS2004 (VERSION 8). This is the full version 8. The default reflections and water colors leave a lot to be desired in FS2004. As an example; The default milky "white/green" texture is highly unrealistic in overcast conditions. The replacement textures will change this dramactically to a much more convincing and realistic "blue/grey", cast, with improved lighting and refections in respect to the sun. These replacement textures will generally give a much more realistic tone and color to the water effects in FS2004. The change is quite dramactic and transforms the flight sim experience to a much greater level of realism. Fully compatible with my earlier versions of "overcast" texture modifications. Textures included are; Clear weather; High noon, mid-sun, low sun, sun-rise and sun-set with a choice of four "overcast" tones and a choice of two sun sets Version 8 has improved sun-set and sun-rise textures which offer better colours and better transitions from daylight to dawn/dusk hours; and a small change to the reflections on the low-sun texture. As an added bonus with Version 8 you have a choice of sun sets to use. Now you can have the very bright "orange" sun sets or select one of the new "golden yellows" which offer two distinct variations. It is important to stress the default FS9 textures are fully compatible with these new textures and they can be used in any combinations and can be mixed and matched with the new textures. For example it may be that some users want to keep some of the water environment textures as they are by default but change only one or two textures. The choice is yours. | Discover FSX Flights (FMCH - FMCZ) 160 NM |
|
File Description:
Flight 12 (FMCH - FMCZ)
With all the many airports and various terrains on FSX, I have decided to contribute to the wonderful FSX flight community by providing pre-selected
Flight plans which i have created using pre-selected VOR's , NDB's and way points, with careful selection of realistic departure and arrival tracks.
Weather your flying commercial Jets, or props or cargo, I am sure there is something here for you..check it out (Just place the included PLN file in your
saved routes folder) and Load it from the FSX flight planner and it will show up on your aircraft GPS and Flight Managment display, Pilots are strongly
recommended to adhere to altitude and speed restrictions, as that will make the flight more comfortable for both pilots and passengers, and will allow for
the enjoyment of the scenery and flight. I have included a Paint version of the flight plan with notes. The route is designed to be as as realistic as
possible, so pilots and aircraft are expected to follow strict departure and arrival stations.
Included here is my first flight : (Prince Said Ibrahim international / Comoros islands (FMCH) - Pamandazi / mayotte (FMCZ) (169 - nm)
Recommended departure time (05:00 AM DAwn)
Recommended Aircraft CantuEMB120.zip by Mr.Eric Cantu availabe at Avsim.com
recommended Weather (fair on departure) (grey and rainy on arrival)
Recommended call sign (Yankee 1 Foxtrot)
Flight number 12
Flight Time 33 minutes
Situation orientation (Fictional) : A struggling Morani based aviation company makes its bucks on a single boeing 707 servicing mombasa,
as well as two Embraer120 servicing the adjacent islands and airports, Flight 12 is a twice a week flight to Pamandzi (160 nm South of Morani / 30 mins hop)
Due to the timing of the flight (4:45 AM), its infamous with the pilots and passangers who despise getting this flight, but work is work and life goes on.
The residents of Dzaoudzi (arrival airport)
always look forward for flight 12's arrival as it brings home relatives, friends, the once in a while tourists as well as mail and supplies.
Your the captain of this flight today , Flight 12 to Pamandzi is now boarding, please display your boarding slips at the door and walk directly to the
aircraft.Goodmorning captain, coffee?
