GE90-115 sound set

File Description:
The AIR CANADIAN fleet is comprised of a B777-200LR equiped with GE-90 engines. As the COO of SUN an AIR CANADIAN VA division, I was always somehow, not satisfied with sound sets available. Some had very good interior sounds and less success with the exterior and vice versa. I decided to give it a crack with the files that were my favorites. I hope you like it as I do not pretend it is the best. It was made to my liking and fellow Air Canadian pilot ACD728. This sound was built using all third party files. Moorea Airport, French Polynesia, NTTM

File Description:
This version completely redoes the previous with a more accurate representation of the entire airport. It contains four distinct areas including the main terminal, a fictional sea plane pier and shelter, rudimentary hangars, and some Polynesian huts along with a pier and sail boats in the bay just down from the airport. This Island is the closest to Tahiti, and you can even see the Tahiti airport from it. The other outer Society Islands will be coming soon. It is suggested that you also download the file Fpsimesh.zip, which has been made for FS2004, and provides a very nice alternative to the boring terrain which FS has put in this most beautiful area of the world.

Archipelago of St-pierre & Miquelon (non-flat airport)

File Description:
"The archipelago of St Pierre (LFVP) and Miquelon (LFVM)". Theses islands are situated in the south of New Foundland island, beetwin Canada and United States. All the archipelago is made up of a new local mesh, landclass, photorealists textures in 2m/pixel in St-Pierre island (4 seasons and the night) with specific autogen, the harbour, various buildings, churches, and reference marks visual. The airport of St-Pierre (LFVP) is created with a non-flat runway, as it is in reality, whith a true lenght profil. A basic mission named "De Miquelon à St Pierre" is placed at "beginner" level for discover easely the archipelago. This scenery is only for FsX and is not compatible with Fs 2004 (Fs9)."

This freeware gauge adds new VTOL & Hover features to Alphasim's V22-Osprey. Besides true vertical takeoff&landing, it allows you to fly forward, backward, sideways and turn, while in a hover. This solution is based on overriding the normal FS flightdynamics while in a hover; in short, it's a VTOL&Hover FDE coded in a gauge. Special thanks to Doug Dawson, who created a gauge that provides for overriding FS2004 variables from an XML gauge. Requires FSUIPC (registered or unregistered, NOT included). The README includes extensive installation and flying instructions. New in release 1.2: - the gauge can now be added to both 2D Cockpit and VC. - solves the problem of Generators-Off after engine restart. By Rob Barendregt.

FSX Zip Utility

File Description:
FSX Zip is a useful tool for unpacking Zip files downloaded from FS file libraries without the need for an existing 3rd-party Zip application, but the big handy feature is that it has a tree display of the Zip folder structure giving you a clear view of how the files will unpack and into which location. This folder layout display is also be useful for developers creating Zips to distribute their own work and aids in checking that no files are missing from the archive. It is "FSX aware" and can automatically detect the FSX folder location. Due to this feature it has several handy folder location presets making it quick and easy to install aircraft, scenery and other add-ons which come in Zip files that include folder path information. Many Zip files downloaded from FS libraries have a specific folder structure which the author has included and is required so all files go into their correct locations, and with this utility generally all you will need to do is: 1) Drag and Drop the Zip file onto the "Extract Zip" page, 2) Select the "Extract & Preserve Folder Structure" option, 3) Check the "Extract to Specific FSX Folder" option, 4) Select the preset folder location from the drop-down box and 5) Click the "UnZip" button. It has a small file size when zipped (around 940 KB) and can be freely distributed by freeware/commercial developers to help users install their files. The Create Zip tab also supports Zip Comments for adding any other information such as copyright notices.

Republic P-47D-20 365th FG (D5-T) "Stinker Too"

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-21-RA 43-25519 D5-T "Stinker Too", the assigned aircraft of Lt. Rhinert Tadych of the 386th FS/ 365th FG. Lt. Tadych, of Manitowoe, Wisconsin was awarded the DFC for an attack on several tanks in the neighbourhood of Trier. Although his aircraft was severely damaged by flak early on in the attack, he held his position in the formation while bombing, strafing and destroying five tanks. The result was that his aircraft became a composite of three different aircraft. Lt Tadych flew 82 missions with the 365th till the end of the war. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

Modify Flight Sim Commander Scenery

File Description:
While by now, it has become rather simple to modify the Microsoft FS 9 Scenery, as far as navaids are concerned. This is not quite so easy with the Flight Sim Commander (FSC) Scenery, because only part of the data for FSC is read from the Flight Simulator. While another part of it is provided by Navigraph by means of their AIRAC cycles. Following the philosophy of the FSC handbook, changing parameters in this database might be a rather objectionable operation. Since only the original output of Navigraph constitutes the real world situation - on the other hand, there might exist users who like to model at least part of their surroundings according to their own perspectives. This package might help those persons to fulfill their expectations.
