McDonnell Douglas F-4J(UK) Phantom F.3 (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 5) Download

File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4J(UK) Phantom F.3 (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 5). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,195 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set utilized FSDS source files for Nick Black's original F-4E Phantom II 8-LOD AI model, and has been heavily modified for this project. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains one F-4J(UK) base model, but is split into two time periods, representing use of both Sparrow and Sky Flash missiles. There are two full squadron paints for 74 Squadron, including eight loadouts and 15 serials per squadron; representing these aircraft in service from 1984-1990. I am not including the usual paint kit because these aircraft were only used by one RAF squadron, and I have included all serials. This project is the next part of what will hopefully be a comprehensive and fairly complete (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I learned a lot from previous releases, and these models are vastly improved from the original releases I have done recently (v2 models for those will be forthcoming). I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.

AP_MultiFuel_Gauges for FIP Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This set of 3 gauges is for use in the Saitek FIP and is an extension to my FIP gauge. That set of 3 gauges was designed to complement the Saitek AP/Multi panel and primarily showed the selected AP Altitude and Vert Spd whilst the Saitek AP/multi panel was displaying HDG. The second main part of those gauges were the Fuel Level displays, each gauge displaying a different combination of fuel tanks to suit the aircraft being flown and thus offered functionality for all types of aircraft. This set of 3 gauges is designed for the same purpose but now encompasses a working AP that allows you to select HDG, ALT and VS values and activate the HDG and ALT mode (and AP master switch) to enable auto-pilot flight (for those who have a FIP but not an AP/multi panel). For those who have an AP/multi panel, it gives a backup AP in your build/rig (although it all works off the same FS telemetry, I have found that when the AP/multi-panel freezes, especially the 'Alt' button, then this FIP gauge can de-activate it. The combinations displayed are those that suit my choice of aircraft, however it is easy to re-configure gauge Elements (fuel tank names) and artwork (fuel gauge titles) to suit the combination you prefer. These gauges also retain the gear, flaps and light indicators, auto rudder on/off button plus rudder and aileron trim capability that were in the previous gauges. An additional feature is the battery switch will now turn off the AP display and fuel levels. The artwork in these gauges has also been upgraded a bit and a template artwork is included to assist in customising.

Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham, Alabama (KBHM) Download

File Description:
An extremely accurate rendition of the KBHM airport with appropriate gate, cargo and general aviation parkin. I've decided to make it a habit to do airports that one doesn't really see much on FS. Everyone does 300 AFCADs of KORD and there's nothing wrong with that it's a great airport but I figured I didn't need to add another KORD or KLAX to the pile unless I'd be providing something the others lack and I can't seem to find it. So, again, I'll be continuing to do AFCADs I feel are lacking or unavailable or not done well. The BHM airport is definetely not a bustling international port of call and it only receives mainline service from a few carriers but it has a decent amount of traffic and I thought it would be good to represent the airport. Thankfully this time MS did a reasonably good job with terminal space and I was able to include every gate in the two concourses. The great BHM website made my job a breeze by indicating which airlines park at which specific gate(s). Every airline is exactly where they should be as is cargo. A ramp for you VFR general aviation buffs is also available. The only time you might notice some craziness is if you start your flight super early in the morning and you have traffic at 95% +. It seems MS doesn't really "turn" planes in a realistic manner so you end up having more planes parked at the gate in the early morning hours then would be there in real life if they adheared to real world turn around times. Nothing I can do about that. Hope you enjoy your virtual trips in and out of the Birmingham International Airport.

FSX/P3D Seaboard World 707-345C 1968 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 707-345C in Seaboard World 1968 colors. The payware Captain Sim 707-300C is needed for this repaint. New York based, Seaboard & Western Airlines - an all cargo airline, was renamed Seaboard World Airlines on 26 April 1961. The "new" airline received the first of 6 CL-44 turboprops in August 1961. The CL-44 was the first modern airliner designed solely to carry freight. They were put into service after August 1961. By 1962, the Lockheed Constellations were all replaced, and Seaboard became an all-turbine-powered airline (with the exception of a solitary C-46 based in Europe). Two years later in 1964, Seaboard received their first pure jets in three DC-8-Fs. 1964 was the airline's best year ever, as profits jumped by 53%, and the future looked very bright. However, it was not to be. Seaboard was forced to compete over its routes with the freight capacity of the passenger airlines, which annually became more competent in the cargo field. Although they did have a bright spot in providing charters to the military, the air freight industry as a whole will eventually fail to achieve the traffic potential envisioned by "aviation experts". Nevertheless, Seaboard, with new jetliners at their disposal, went on and provided excellent service to its customers. They offered a wide range of cargo services to many points in Europe. Eventually, falling passenger charters and stiff competition took their toll. Seaboard was bought out in 1980 by the only real all-cargo success at the time - The Flying Tiger Line. Seaboard operated 2n 707-300Cs from 1968 to 1969. This aircraft, N7322S, was leased from VARIG in 1968. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are DXT5 dds.

Gulfstream G-550SP Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This aircraft is the advanced upgrade from previous versions, and there are no more upgrades scheduled for the future. The paint is fictional, but illustrates what would be used for Charter flights by some airlines. Even in that case, I tried to make it as real as possible, as you will see. All authors credited other than myself are not involved with any of the engine or aerodynamic or detailed corrections. I even enhanced the parking data, callsign used, lighting effects, gear, MOI, weight & ballance, flaps and smoke for realism. There are no known issues with this model as it stands, and it is now possible to easily achieve FL510 and cruise over 8,000 nm, even with 16X simulation speed activated using auto-pilot. This perfection is based on real world aero/engine dynamic data and formulas employed within the aircraft.cfg and .air files. Flight Tuning is no longer used in this model. There is no other FSX Gulfstream G-550 available anywhere (Free or Payware) that includes all of this realism, and if there is in the future, it was copied from this data. Don't be fooled. I don't expect any world-wide awards or the "Nobel FS Prize" for any of this, but your comments related to the results will be appreciated, and acknowledged. Please understand that this work required many hours of study and testing, and is offered free for Educational Purposes primarily. The results illustrate the realism of the G-550 in almost every aspect imaginable, which is possible with all FSX aircraft when you know how and what is needed. North American P-51D 353rd FG (YJ-L) "Willit Run?" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-10-NA 44-14771 YJ-L "Willit Run?" which flew with the 351st FS, 353rd FG from Raydon in the UK, with Maj Frederick LeFebre as its regular pilot. The P-51 is named “Willit Run?”, but the nose art on this plane is not talking about this particular aircraft or any P-51 for that matter. It’s an inside joke of WWII vintage. During WWII, as in every big war, private industry is called upon to produce war goods rather than civilian goods – “guns vs. butter”. Henry Ford took on a huge project to contract-build Consolidated B-24 Liberator bombers in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to be built on a farm which Henry Ford owned at Willow Run near Detroit. The facility was to be a prime example of Roosevelt’s “Arsenal of Democracy”, conceived and built on an unprecedented scale. Begun in April, 1941, it was the largest enclosed room in the world, with 3.5 million square feet. But Willow Run had a long and troubled construction and start-up time. So long and troubled a start-up, that after two years with little results the public became disillusioned with the project and derisively nicknamed the plant “Willit Run?”. Ford persevered however, and Willow Run finally hit its stride, eventually producing at the prodigious rate of 650 B-24 bombers per month by August, 1944. At war’s end, Willow Run had produced about half of the 18,000 B-24's which saw service in the war. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.
