This scenery also upgrades the airport (PABE) with taxiways and airport roads, airport buildings and hangers, aircraft and ground vehicles, a helipad w/start point, people and many eye candies throughout the airport. Alaska Air revealed a new updated paint scheme in February 2015, with small changes to modernize the brand. The Alaska logotype has a new smoother look. The dark blue is now navy, and the teal accents have been replaced with a brighter green. The eskimo logo remains unchanged, except the teal outline has been removed. Finally, the winglets now feature a swooped design rather than the traditional stripes. Model developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio, features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nick Wilkinson, with assistance from David Biggar. Master textures and paint kit by Kyle Schurb. Painted on the great TDS model. Enjoy!

Shemya is pretty well AT the western end of the Aleutian chain of islands in Alaska, around 240 miles west of Amchitka. There is no town on Shemya and the whole island is occupied (and owned) by the Air Force. There are three runways, two of which are from the 1940's and are now unused; in fact one of them has been partly ploughed up and also used for outdoor storage. The single in-use runway is aligned 10-28 and is 10,000 feet of 150 feet wide asphalt with an ils on 28, the runway that is used 99% of the time. The base is now not active but is maintained as a refuelling facility, so for landing and takeoff purposes it is open. The older and now unused areas are those where the hangers are slowly rusting away and the asphalt is turning green with encroaching and well-watered wildlife plants. The tower is now closed, so there is no atc and you just announce your intentions. Read the history of Shemya, a lot happened there.

| Seward PAWD in Alaska V2 plus 6AK5 |

File Description:
This is V2, the combined original and also V1. If you have already installed V1 then you do not need this. The town of Seward (population around 2,700) is on the east coast of the Kenai Peninsula, 70 miles east of Kenai town and also 70 miles southeast of Anchorage, amid mountains and glaciers at the northern end of the 20 mile long and fjord-like Resurrection Bay. It is also at the southern end of both the Alaska Railway and the Seward Highway, and has a sheltered dock for freight and also for cruise liners. Passengers from the liners can enjoy local attractions (dog sledging on a glacier?) and also easily continue further north by bus or train to Anchorage or to other tourist attractions such as Denali. The airport is next to the port and the town, with two runways aligned (in FS9, not taking account of the recently wandering magnetic north) 15-33 and 12-30, both asphalt and 2,100 and 4,200 feet long respectively. Only 12-30 (and its taxiways) is lit, with VASI on 30. There are no regularly scheduled flights to Seward; with buses and trains running direct from Anchorage there is no money to be made. There are some charter flights coordinated with cruise liners, and some freight flights, the very occasional visit by the Coastguard, but most flights are GA, air taxi,or short scenery-viewing trips for summer tourists. In a mountainous area the only sure thing about the behaviour of AI aircraft is that it is unpredictable but often involves a mountain; nothing to be done about it. At Seward there is also marine AI from and to the port, in the shape of a cruise liner and an Alaskan ferry, but the latter only if you have Holger Sandmann's Alaska scenery installed. Also included with this is a correction for Fire Island 6AK5, near Anchorage, that takes the airfield out of the water; this is something I have meant to do for the last 5 years.

File Description:
Cold Bay is in the eastern third of the Aleutian chain of islands in Alaska, around 175 miles east of Dutch Harbor. The small town has a population of just over 100 and is in existance solely because of the airport with its long runways, one just over 6,000 feet and the other over 10,000 feet and with an ILS. Goods are flown here for local redistribution. The airport was originally built to this size for use in WW2 and there are still quonset huts from this time visible in the area, though the majority of the rough-and-ready housing has now been cleared away. There are scheduled flights by Grant Aviation to neighbouring local airfields and flights to and from Anchorage by Peninsula Air (included in the AI posted with Adak) and Grant Aviation have space attached to their hangar that serves as a terminal. The Coastguard also make use of Cold Bay.

File Description:
Atka is near the western end of the Aleutian chain of islands in Alaska, around 100 miles east of Adak and 330 miles west of Dutch Harbor. The small town (population around 60 now, down from 90 only 5 years ago; so quickly?) is reliant on fishing. The airport is a mile or so north of the town on the east coast of the island, with a single runway of 4,500 feet of asphalt, and there are scheduled flights by Grant Aviation from Dutch Harbor (included in the AI posted with Adak).

This airport scenery has two versions, one with the Crosswind runway operating where all 3 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one as the default airport runway operation. Alaska airlines terminal completely rebuilt, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, the ILS for runway 7R now operating correctly, assigned parking with extra parking, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added.

Alaska Airlines was the launch customer of the 737-900, with its first delivery in 2001. Since then the fleet has grown to also include the newer 737-900ER variant, with longer range and ETOPS certification. This package contains three variations of Alaska's 737-900 fleet; N408AS which is a newer -900ER, N320AS a regular -900 with winglets, and finally N303AS one of the first -900s ever built, but never fitted with winglets. Because it was an early build and testbed model for Boeing, structural modification to the wings would be necessary, negating the cost benefits of adding winglets. Developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio (TDS). Model features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more.
