| A300/A310 General Electric CF6-80C2A Series V3.1 Update |
|
File Description:
This is a vital update to the soundset I released a little over a month ago. I replaced all the exterior sounds respectively and updated the inteior howl heard during the early stages of the spool up and the volume of the files that followed. All though I stated that my previous version was the final one I felt that this was completely necessary, expect more and more updates to follow much like Pedro Oliveira's A320 Flight Dynamics which happen to be superb. I personally recommend that you use Corey Ford's latest repaint of which happens to be an excellent American A300 which compliments this update well. I am not an Official HNAC member (Although I wish) nor is this the official HNAC Sound Package this is just the best availible one every created for FS on this plane period. This requires V3 so if you don't have it please download it first before you download this update also do not use this with 767s. If you want a 767 soundset download Devyn Silverstein's latest CF6...B1F package. Lastly I've asked avsim to remove verison 1 and 2 because people were still downloading them (V3 is on another planet 1 & 2 was much too old.) Enjoy this, on to the GE 767!

|
File Description:
(PAFA - PABR) (486 NM) (Heavy Cargo Run)____Situation Orientation (Fictional) : Twice a year, (GREEN SOLUTIONS) a joint US-UN funded scientific research firm, based in Anchorage Alaska, charters a freighter jet to make a cargo run to (Barrow/Alaska (PABR)) located near the beaufort sea / Arctic ocean, where one of the firm's major research facilities is located. For the September run, it has been arranged that the flight will make a stop over at Fairbanks International Airport- Alaska (PAFA) to pick up additional cargo that a supplier working with the firm shipped to Fairbanks by train. As this run is a pre-winter run, the cargo is heavy and the cargo company have allocated a large freighter ship to handle the heavy cargo load. The aircraft arrived into Anchorage inbound from South America early this morning and departed Anchorage at 11:00 am. It arrived PAFA on time and is loading the additional cargo at a designated hanger. The flight was shedualedto depart to Barrow at 2:30 pm butfreighter paperwork and administrative complexities have caused a two and a half hour delay. Everyone, including you,is frustrated and anxious to get moving. Finaly, ground crews inform you that you will be ready to go in 10 ____Note : Although no significant malfunctions where logged during the first leg of the flight, the aircraft's maintenence logs indicate that during its Panama City departure, the crew logged an abnormalylow climb attitude after take off. However, due to compressed schedual timetables, maintenance operations in Anchorage decided that maintenance would be done after it returned from its charter flight and have given it a green light. As first officer, the captain has instructed you to watch that closley as he has given you control of this leg.

| B25-B Mitchell Doolitte's Raiders "Hari Carrier" A/C No. 40-2249 for The B24 Guy's OH |
|
File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolitte's Raiders "Hari Carrier" A/C No. 40-2249, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #11, nicknamed The Hari Carrier. Pilot: Capt. C. Ross Greening, Co-Pilot: Lt. Kenneth E. Reddy, Navigator: Lt. Frank A. Kappeler, Bombardier: S/Sgt. William L. Birch, Flight Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Melvin J. Gardner. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Note the nose art. Texture, and Damage Files included. Note the three windows in both port and starboard bulkheads. By revev. Enjoy!

File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of NZ4020 XX-W of the RNZAF. Bu08435, it flew with 6 Flying Boat Squadron. Following Japan's entry into the war in December 1941, the RNZAF had to switch from primarily training pilots to Europe into a combat force. No. 6 Squadron RNZAF was formed as an army co-operation unit at Milson in February 1942 flying Vickers Vildebeest and Hawker Hind aircraft. At the same time, No. 5 Squadron RNZAF moved to Fiji with Short Singapores and Vickers Vildebeest and Vincent biplanes. Modern maritime patrol flying boats (and more Hudson light bombers) were requested under Lend Lease and when the first Consolidated Catalinas arrived a detachment of men from No. 5 Squadron was assigned to convert to these types as No. 6 Squadron. Before the squadron was officially formed these men successfully completed their first air-sea rescue of a downed US aircrew. From May 1943 No. 6 squadron undertook action against the Japanese. The Squadron also conducted search and rescue missions for allied aircrew and seamen, and undertook many open sea rescues. XX-W arrived in Fiji on 21 October 1943. On February 18, 1944 it took off on a dumbo rescue mission to north Buka Island and landed to rescue two crew members and pick up a dead body from the crash of B-25, and successfully returned them to Halavo. On 26 May 1945, it stalled on landing at Hobsonville and was towed to its mooring by a crash boat. The induced damage resulted in the aircraft being written off charge on 18 June 1945.

Deepawali, also known as Diwali is one of the Major Festival celebrated in India from Jammu Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Deepawali or Diwali is certainly the biggest and the brightest of all festivals. It's the festival of lights (deep = light and avali = a row i.e., a row of lights) that's marked by four days of celebration, which literally illumines the country with its brilliance, and dazzles all with its joy. From darkness unto light the light that empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds, that which brings us closer to divinity. During Diwali, lights illuminate every corner of India and the scent of incense sticks hangs in the air, mingled with the sounds of fire-crackers, Fireworks, joy, togetherness. On third day of the festival from evening to midnight the entire sky of India is full of colorful fireworks. Its the most awesome night of the year to witness. Every single family in India celebrates Diwali with lights, fire-crackers and fire works.
Lets celebrate Diwali in the virtual world of Flight Simulator. Fly in or out of any airport in India and enjoy your departure or approach phase with great show of fireworks all over the country. Fireworks for both FS2004 & FSX SP2 / Acceleration pack. Tested in FS2004 and FSX Acceleration pack only because its what I have. Enjoy!

| Virgin Galactic Boeing 747-8i |

File Description:
FSX Boeing 747-8i Virgin Galactic with advanced VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena and VC Textures Upgrade by Enrique Cornejo, founder of the Flightsim Workshop Project. This gives the b747 a payware Virtual Cockpit look and now with green leather tapestry on the sides of the seats. It even has a pilot jacket hanged in the rear of the cockpit (besides the right jumpseat). The panel.cfg and the aircraft.cfg have been assembled and edited by the Flightsim Workshop Team. Now you can pop up "My icons" window in the Virtual Cockpit to easily reach the following windows: GPS, avionics, map, ATC, Climb/Radio Altimeter/Spoiler switch, auto-break switch, throttle quadrant, clock, descent meter, kneeboard and overhead panel. A new feature in My Icons Window I added is a new Pitot Heat switch with ON and Off features, (XML gauge by Enrique Cornejo). cold weather, the Pitot Heat switch works just like in real life, so if its turned off the air speed indicator will stop working, so make sure you turn the Pitot Heat switch on before taking off!
The autopilot ON switches have green lights which make them look more realistic. Center ATC identification in this aircraft is "Boeing 747". We have also fixed the position of the strobe lights so when the aircraft is flying they are in the right place, so turn on the strobe lights switch after take off. The cockpit view from the pilots seat is now more comfortable because the distance between the cockpit and the seat is longer.
The aircraft has new engine views (from both wings) and new Virtual Cockpit interior views from the left, right and central jump seats. The brakes has a differential brake system to make smoother turns in ground. The Virgin Galactic Spaceship texture is wonderful and it has a unique paint scheme by Enrique Cornejo which also includes details such as some stains caused by humidity in the fuselage and the wing flaps and other details just like a real aircraft. Real smoke in the four engines, just select key, more cabin views, realistic cockpit and engines sound & more realistic night VC lights and fuselage night textures, in the VC just select key and reset the overhead Instrument panel light dim switch in the overhead panel. The aileron parameters have also improved, so now the right and left turns are smoother. This aircraft uses the Project Opensky FSX Boeing B747-800 Model OSX748V4_GENX(MDL), and includes the gauge window Posky Utility to view the main stairs, ground cargo servicing, etc. The engine sounds are edited like the real ones with cockpit ambient, so you can enjoy a pleasant flight. The Flight Management Computer (FMC) is fixed and looks like a payware instrument. The VC includes FMC, Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MDF) displayed in the correct size. The virtual cockpit also has an Engine-Indicating and Crew-Alerting System also known as EICAS, Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS), working wipers, cabin lights, fire suppression, avionics switch, fuel cross feed, and you can identify those instruments in the overhead panel because they are bordered with color lines. You can also find landing lights switches, taxi light switch, engine generators, APU generator, battery switch, starter switches, de-ice switch, general lights switches which are a great work of Alejandro. So now the whole cockpit and texture upgrade with all these improvements looks better than a payware version. The clock numbers are now in orange which makes them look better and easily recognizable. Assembled and edited for FSX by Flightsim Workshop Founder Enrique Cornejo. 78 MB

| RAF Tholthorpe |
|
File Description:
RAF Tholthorpe opened in the late 1930s as a grass airfield, and operated as a sub-station of RAF Linton-on-Ouse.
From August 1940 to December 1940, Tholthorpe was a landing field for Whitley bombers of No. 58 Squadron RAF and No. 51 Squadron RAF based at Linton. From January 1941 to June 1943, Tholthorpe underwent maintenance to upgrade to Class A standards, with three intersecting concrete runways.
RAF Tholthorpe was assigned to No. 6 Group RCAF in June 1943. RCAF squadrons stationed here included No. 434 Squadron "Bluenose", 431 Squadron "Iroquois", 420 Squadron "Snowy Owl", and 425 Squadron "Alouette".
No. 434 Squadron, flying Halifax bombers, was formed and headquartered at Tholthorpe airfield from June 1943 until the squadron was moved to Croft. In July 1943, 431 Squadron moved to Tholthorpe airfield from Burn. It was later moved to Croft airfield as well. Not only were the operational squadrons quartered here, also their service echelons, - respectively Nos. 9431 and 9434 Service Echelon - which were formed from the ground crew of nos. 431 and 434 Squadron on 3 November 1943 and who moved with their squadrons on to Croft in December 1943.
In December 1943 No. 420 and No. 425 Squadrons (together with their service echelons, nos. 9420 and 9425 Service Echelon were moved to Tholthorpe airfield from Dalton and Dishforth respectively. These squadrons had returned from service with Wellingtons in North Africa, and it took them several weeks to work up on the newly acquired Halifax bombers. They were therefore unable to fly their first raids from Tholthorpe until mid-February 1944.
No. 420 Squadron flew 160 operations from Tholthorpe airfield and lost 25 Halifax’s. No. 425 squadron flew 162 operations from Tholthorpe airfield and lost 28 Halifax’s. In all, 119 Halifax bombers were lost from Tholthorpe. In April and May 1945 nos. 420 and 425 Squadron converted to Avro Lancaster’s, which they took with them when they left for RCAF Debert, Nova Scotia, Canada in June 1945.
The station closed in June 1945.
